The Old Mill Road Bridge is a historic bridge near Rocky Ridge, Frederick County, Maryland, United States. The bridge spans Owens Creek southwest of Rocky Ridge on Old Mill Road. It is a Pratt half-hip through truss structure in a single span 69 feet (21 m) long and 16 feet (4.9 m). It was built in 1882 by the Pittsburgh Bridge Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.The Old Mill Road Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Begun in 1898 in rural Frederick County, Maryland, the LeGore Bridge was completed and opened to the public in 1900. It was built and maintained by the owners of the LeGore Lime Company, including local businessman James William LeGore and his company advisor, Eugene Hammond. It is 340 feet (100 m) in length, 27 feet (8.2 m) wide and 64 feet (20 m) high. The bridge is situated at 39°35'N 77°19'W. The five arch limestone bridge was restored in 1981 and 2009.The bridge was built for three purposes: as part of a hydroelectric dam for an electric railway going from the Nation's Capital to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, for transport of limestone from the LeGore Quarry to sales companies in Pennsylvania, and to accommodate the state-owned road for public travel across the Monocacy River.Only the last of these panned out, and the LeGore Bridge is still used for everyday automobile traffic. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Loys Station Covered Bridge is a multiple king post wooden covered bridge near Thurmont, Maryland. The bridge was burned by an arsonist in 1991 and rebuilt using surviving framing. The original bridge spanned 90 feet in one span, but has since been modified with a pier at the middle of the span. The bridge crosses Owen's Creek and is surrounded by a park.

The William and Catherine Biggs Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Detour, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The complex consists of a stone house, a stone outbuilding / summer kitchen, a frame bank barn, and an early-20th-century concrete block barn, dairy building, and silo. The house is a two-story, five-by-two-bay structure with a three-by-two-bay, two-story rear wing. It is built primarily of rubble stone.The William and Catherine Biggs Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The house was built at about the same time as nearby Strawberry Hill, which was built in 1783.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The house is substantially similar in plan to nearby Pennterra, but lacks Pennterra's later Victorian additions. The locally quarried stone includes an unusual diamond pattern on the southeast side of the house.Strawberry Hill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Toms Creek is a 20.8-mile-long (33.5 km) tributary of the Monocacy River in Pennsylvania and Maryland in the United States. Via the Monocacy River, it is part of the Potomac River watershed, flowing to Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It is playfully known by its residents as "4 miles from everywhere" because of its situation at 4 miles (6.4 km) from Thurmont, Woodsboro, Rocky Ridge, and Lewistown.The town consists of about 40 buildings, including three churches and a small school building. A number of the buildings in the town can be classified as historical and the ruins of older buildings can also be found.Creagerstown is additionally the home to both Creagerstown Park and Creagerstown Cemetery. Maryland Route 550 passes through Creagerstown on its way towards Loys Station in the form of Creagerstown Road.
