Wellington College is a private school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) in the village of Crowthorne, Berkshire, England. Wellington is a registered charity and currently educates roughly 1,200 pupils, between the ages of 13 and 18. The college was built as a national monument to the first Duke of Wellington (1769–1852), in whose honour it is named. Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone in 1856 and inaugurated the School's public opening on 29 January 1859. Many former Wellington pupils fought in the trenches during the First World War, a conflict in which 707 of them lost their lives, many volunteering for military service immediately after leaving school. A further 501 former pupils were killed in action in the Second World War.The school is a member of the Rugby Group of 18 British public schools and is also a member of the G20 Schools group. For the academic year 2022/23, Wellington charged boarders up to £15,030 per term, or £45,090 per annum.

Ravenswood is a care village run by Norwood, a Jewish charity supporting children and families with educational needs, in the English county of Berkshire, part of the civil parish of Wokingham Without, adjoining Crowthorne. The settlement was established in 1953 as a self-contained environment for disabled children. The complex is managed by Norwood and funded by the local authority, and is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north-west Crowthorne. It stands on the site of Bigshotte Lodge, the home of the Keeper of Bigshotte Rayles, an ancient division of Windsor Forest. It used to be called Hannican's Lodge, after a man called Hankin or Hanykin who was under-keeper in 1607.

Crowthorne railway station is a railway station in the village of Crowthorne in Berkshire, England. The station is managed by Great Western Railway, who operate services on the North Downs Line from Reading to Guildford, Redhill and Gatwick Airport. The station has two platforms: platform 1 for services towards Gatwick Airport and platform 2 for services towards Reading. It has bicycle racks on both platforms, and a car park adjacent to platform 2.

Heath Lake is a 6-hectare (15-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in Berkshire. The SSSI is part of the 22.3-hectare (55-acre) Heathlake Local Nature Reserve, which is owned and managed by Wokingham District Council.Most of this 2.8-hectare (7-acre) lake is less than 1-metre (3-foot) deep. It is the only acid lake in the county which retains its characteristic plants, such as alternate water-milfoil and six-stamened waterwort. The banks are peaty and marshy in some areas. There are also small areas of woodland, dry heath and acid grassland.There is access from Nine Mile Ride.

Edgbarrow Woods is a 36.8-hectare (91-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the northern outskirts of Sandhurst in Berkshire. It is owned and managed by Wellington College.

Nine Mile Ride is a length of the B3430 road in the English county of Berkshire, running from the south of Bracknell to Finchampstead, in the Borough of Wokingham. Despite its name, the road is 6.7 miles (10.8 km) long. The western end is close to the California Country Park in California, Berkshire.

Wellington College Bog is a 6.2-hectare (15-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in the grounds of Wellington College on the northern outskirts of Sandhurst in Berkshire.The site features a valley bog, which is one of the richest in the county, in terms of bryophytes and flowering plants, containing several species which are uncommon or rare in southern Britain.

Little Sandhurst is a suburb of Sandhurst in Berkshire, England, and part of the civil parish of Sandhurst. The settlement lies near to the A321 road, and is located approximately 0.75 miles (1.21 km) northwest of Sandhurst town centre.

Eagle House School is a 3–13 co–educational preparatory school near Sandhurst in Berkshire, England. Founded in 1820, it originally only admitted boys, keeping them "until they went out into the world", however, as of 2023, it admits both boys and girls. It is one of the country's oldest preparatory schools.

Edgbarrow School is a secondary Academy School in Crowthorne, Berkshire, England. The school is the main state secondary school in the area, and includes Edgbarrow Sixth Form College. It previously held the title of a Business and Enterprise College as a specialist school. The school has approximately 1410 pupils, most of whom come from Crowthorne schools, such as Wildmoor Heath School and Oaklands School, Hatch Ride school and Crowthorne C of E school . The school teaches 11- to 18-year-olds, and has some of the best results in Bracknell Forest at GCSE of any non-selective state schools.
