The HAN International School of Business is the business school of the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, the Netherlands. It offers Bachelor's degrees in international business, communications, logistics and management. All programmes are taught in English.

Arnhem Presikhaaf is a railway station located in the neighborhood Presikhaaf of Arnhem, Netherlands. The station was opened on 28 September 1969 and is located on the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway. The train services at this station are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station is the easternmost station in Arnhem. A previous station called Plattenburg was very closely located to the location of the current station (from 1882 to 1905).

Rozendaal (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈroːzə(n)ˌdaːl] ) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. The town, next to Arnhem and Velp, is known for the Rozendaal Castle (Kasteel Rosendael) and its water fountain follies (bedriegertjes). The municipality is the least densely populated on the mainland of the Netherlands, i.e., in effect, not on one of the West Frisian Islands. Rozendaal is one of the richest municipalities in the Netherlands.

Monnikenhuize was a multi-use stadium in Arnhem, Netherlands. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of SBV Vitesse. The stadium was able to hold 7,500 people. The stadium was opened in 1915. It was closed in 1950 when Nieuw Monnikenhuize opened. For the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, it hosted the consolation first round match between Chile and Mexico on 5 June 1928.

The siege of IJsseloord or the capture of Arnhem was a siege that took place between the 6 and 15 October 1585 at Arnhem (Gelderland in the Netherlands) during the Eighty Years' War and the Anglo-Spanish War (1585–1604). The Dutch and English were victorious when the sconce of IJsseloord after seven days capitulated and Arnhem fell into their hands. The English under Queen Elizabeth I had just signed the treaty of Nonsuch in August and as such the English contingent was enlarged and put under temporary command of John Norreys. After crossing the English channel they joined the States troops of Adolf van Nieuwenaar then headed towards Arnhem with 2,500 men where they intended to retake a sconce called IJsseloord. In the 16th century IJsseloord was a point that connected the Rhine and the IJssel and as such it was a strategic point running towards Zutphen and Deventer.

Velp is a Dutch village located east of Arnhem within the municipality of Rheden, between Arnhem, Rozendaal, and the town of Rheden. Velp was a separate municipality from 1812 to 1818, when it was merged with Rheden. The municipality also included the village of Rozendaal.

Arnhem Velperpoort is a railway station located in Arnhem, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 October 1893, closed on 3 June 1918 and reopened on 5 January 1953. It is located on the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway and the Oberhausen–Arnhem railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen, Arriva and Breng. Previously, the name of the station was just Velperpoort (1893-1918).

Westervoort (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌʋɛstərˈvoːrt] ) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. The town has two rivers inside its borders, the Rhine and the IJssel. It is a commuter town closely linked to Arnhem, the capital of Gelderland, which is situated on the west bank of the IJssel river, the east bank being occupied by Westervoort. It is the smallest Dutch municipality by area.

Arnhem (Dutch: [ˈɑrnɛm] or [ˈɑr(ə)nɦɛm] ; German: Arnheim; Kleverlandish: Èrnem) is a city and municipality situated in the eastern part of the Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Gelderland, located on both banks of the rivers Nederrijn and Sint-Jansbeek, which was the source of the city's development. Arnhem had a population of 163,972 on 1 December 2021, which made it one of the larger cities of the Netherlands. Arnhem is home to the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Netherlands Open Air Museum, Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein', Royal Burgers' Zoo, NOC*NSF and National Sports Centre Papendal. The north corner of the municipality is part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. It is approximately 55 square kilometres (21 sq mi) in area, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands.

The Battle of Arnhem (30 November 1813) saw Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Bülow's Prussian corps fight an Imperial French division under Henri François Marie Charpentier at Arnhem. Attacking under the cover of fog, the Prussians broke into the city at several points and forced the French to retreat to Nijmegen after hard fighting in this War of the Sixth Coalition clash. Arnhem is a city in the Netherlands located on the Rhine River 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Amsterdam. In late November 1813, Bülow's III Prussian Corps invaded the Netherlands, sparking a Dutch rebellion against the French. Marshal Jacques MacDonald commanding the defending French XI Corps ordered Charpentier to evacuate Arnhem, but that general chose to ignore his instructions and suffered a defeat. After winning the battle, Bülow continued west in order to liberate Utrecht and support the Dutch revolt. The Prussian general's forces were soon joined by a British expedition led by Thomas Graham, 1st Baron Lynedoch. Nevertheless, friction between the Prussians and their Russian and Swedish allies resulted in a pause in the effort to liberate Holland and Belgium from the French.

Yssel-Supérieur ([i.sɛl.sy.pe.ʁjœʁ]; "Upper IJssel"; Dutch: Boven IJssel) was a department of the First French Empire in the present-day Netherlands. It was named after the river IJssel. It was formed in 1810 (1810), when the Kingdom of Holland was annexed by France. Its territory roughly corresponded with the present-day Dutch province of Gelderland. Its capital was Arnhem. The department was subdivided into the following arrondissements and cantons (situation in 1812): Arnhem, cantons: Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Barneveld, Brummen, Ede, Elburg, Harderwijk, Hattem, Nijkerk, Twello, Vaassen, Velp, Wageningen and Zevenaar. Tiel, cantons: Bemmel, Elst, Geldermalsen and Tiel. Zutphen, cantons: Aalten, Borculo, Doesburg, Doetinchem, Eibergen, Gendringen, Groenlo, 's-Heerenberg, Lochem, Terborg, Vorden, Warnsveld, Winterswijk and Zutphen.Its population in 1812 was 192,700, and its area was approximately 561,081 hectares.After Napoleon was defeated in 1814, the department became part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands.
