Micou's Island, Nova Scotia

Seabright (population 522) is a community within the Halifax Regional Municipality Nova Scotia between French Village and Glen Margaret on Route 333 along the Lighthouse Route. It was home to the noted Canadian curator and historian Niels Jannasch (1924–2001).

French Village is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on Chebucto Peninsula. French village initially included present day villages of Tantallon, Glen Haven and French Village. The French that migrated to the area were French speaking families from the Principality of Montbeliard (annexed by France 1793) and known as the "Foreign Protestants". They had come to Nova Scotia between 1750 and 1752 to settle Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Contrary to belief, they were not Huguenots. The church is the community is St. Paul's Church. In 1901, the Halifax and Southwestern Railway was built through the area and the railway choose the name French Village for the station serving the three communities. The French Village station, actually located in Tantallon, has been preserved as a cafe beside the recreational trail that follows the old Halifax & Southwestern Railway roadbed.

Boutiliers Point (English: ) is a rural community in the Halifax Regional Municipality on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean on Trunk 3, 27.61 kilometers from Halifax.The original European settlers in Boutiliers Point were mostly Protestants from France. They were given grants of land under the condition that they would settle permanently in the area.The community evolved after Jacques Boutilier's son, James Frederick and Jacques' nephew John Coulaw Boutilier *purchased on September 20, 1794 from Charles Ingram's son-in-law, William Coolen, the 1500 acre Ingram Grant for 140 pounds, to be paid 20 pounds yearly. This area later became known as Boutilier's Point, likely named for James Frederick Boutilier, a patriarch of the community.Many in the community have the last name of Boutilier . It is common that one is referred to by one's first name followed by the name of one's father (e.g., Tom the son of Eric Boutilier becomes Tom Eric). Boutiliers Point is home to the Willard Christie Memorial Park, which includes a playground, located at the top of Christie's Road and Island View Drive, and a baseball pitch located down a short driveway, which is frequented by dog walkers. There is also an outdoor ice rink that is a hot spot for hockey players in the winter months. The St. James Anglcan Church, consecrated in 1848, is located in Boutiliers Point. It was the first church built on the west side of St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia. It was originally built 40 ft by 30 ft with a capacity of up to 250 people. The earliest gravestone from the cemetery is dated 1854. The church is part of The Anglican Parish of French Village. There was a St. James' school in operation during the 19th century. In burned down in 1893 and was rebuilt the following year.

Glen Haven (population 204) is a small coastal community within the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia, Canada, about 40 km from Halifax city centre. It is situated on the shore of the St. Margarets Bay immediately adjacent to Tantallon and French Village along Route 333, also known as Peggy's Cove Road.It was once a part of French Village and was settled around 1785 by a number of foreign Protestants from Lunenburg County. Around 1900, Gordon Hubley organized a petition to create a separate community with a new name - and its own post office. Family names of settlers including Boutilier, Hubley and Dauphinee can still be found in the bay area.Within the community is a peninsula called Indian Point that stretches into the bay. At its tip are two small islands: Big Indian Island and Little Indian Island. All three are so named because of arrowheads that have been found there in the past, suggesting that this was once a Mi'kmaq summer camping ground. Big Indian IsIand is also popularly referred to as Micou's Island. It is a tidal island accessible by a sandbar at low tide which has become a popular beach during summer months.

Black Point (2021 population: 486) is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Black Point is the closest community in the Ten Beaches area to Metropolitan Halifax, just 30 minutes away, on Highway 3. Black Point is believed to have been given its name because its land mass appear black from outside of St. Margaret's Bay. Original land grants were given in 1786, but it was not until the 19th century that the community began to take shape. Black's Point first post office opened in 1867. A new school opened in 1879. A United Baptist Church was dedicated in 1898. Today, the fire station and community hall are focal points of the community, where community suppers and social events are held. The village also boasts some antique and craft shops, and has two sand beaches, the Black Point Beach and The Puddle Beach. Fernwood Publishing has been headquartered in Black Point since the early 1990s.

Tantallon (pronounced 'tan-TAL-en') is an exurban community in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada. It extends from about two kilometers south of Trunk 3, along Route 333, just north of Ballfield Road, for roughly three kilometres along Route 333, to just south of Longards road, and includes Whynachts Point and Sheeps Head Island. It is bordered to the north by Upper Tantallon and to the south by Glen Haven. The community is about 32 km (20 mi) from Downtown Halifax.The community is likely named for Tantallon Castle in Scotland.

Glen Margaret is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on the Chebucto Peninsula. It was first inhabited by the Mi'kmaq who spent their summers along the coast to catch a fresh supply of fish. The first overseas settlers arrived during the late 18th century and by the early 19th century a number of land grants attracted permanent residents. Today, the community is the home of a number of creative persons such as artists, publishers and authors.

Hackett's Cove is a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia on the Chebucto Peninsula. The community is home to radio transmitter maker Nautel Ltd.

St. Margarets Bay is a bay located on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Canada on the border of Halifax County (Halifax Regional Municipality) and Lunenburg County (Municipality of the District of Chester).

Queensland is a community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. About 46 kilometres (29 mi) west of Halifax, the area is on the north-western side of Saint Margaret's Bay, between Black Point to the north-east, and the nearby Hubbards community to the north-west. The area was used by the Miꞌkmaq First Nations people.
