Cecilton is a town in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. The population was 663 at the 2010 census.

Fredericktown is an unincorporated community in Cecil County, Maryland, United States.The Elf racing yacht is located in the Sassafras River at Fredericktown, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1980.Fredericktown was first permanently settled generations before 1757. The town began to grow by its location: fishing and sailing were frequent enjoyments of the town. But, the town was destroyed by fire during a British raid in the War of 1812. Some of the earliest buildings in the town were built following the cessation of hostilities, after 1815. Owen Burns, an entrepreneur, banker, builder, and land developer who at one time owned the majority of Sarasota, Florida, was born in Fredericktown.

The Nellie Crockett is a Chesapeake Bay oyster buy-boat built for Andrew A. Crockett of Tangier, Virginia, in 1925. She is located at Georgetown, Maryland, USA. She was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.The Nellie Crockett was built specifically to operate as a buy-boat, making the rounds of the Chesapeake Bay oyster beds to buy oysters directly from the harvesters, typically sail-powered skipjacks or oyster tongers. This allowed the oyster dredges to remain on the beds, avoiding the need to return to port when full. Buy-boats typically gave a lower price than a dockside sale, but most oystermen considered this a fair trade for not losing time on a run back to the dock. She is considered one of the best-preserved examples of this type of vessel.

Georgetown is an unincorporated community in northeastern Kent County, Maryland, United States. The community was laid out in 1736. Georgetown was named for Prince George who later became King of the United Kingdom. Georgetown is located on the south side of the Sassafras River at the Maryland Route 213 bridge, north of Galena and south of Cecilton. Directly to the north across the river is the unincorporated community of Fredericktown in Cecil County. The Nellie Crockett and Valley Cottage are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Valley Cottage, also known as Wallis House, is a historic home located at Georgetown, Kent County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story gambrel roofed structure consisting of a 42 feet long 18th century portion with a 16 feet long extension built in 1954.Valley Cottage was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Elf is a racing yacht built in 1888 by George Lawley & Son of South Boston, Massachusetts, for William H. Wilkinson. She was designed by George F. Lawley and is the oldest small yacht in the United States. She is located at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD.Talbot County, Maryland.She was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1980.

St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church Complex is a historic Roman Catholic church complex located at Galena, Kent County, Maryland. The complex includes the church (1934), rectory (1884), and cemetery (ca. 1855). The church is a Gothic Revival-style stone building. The Victorian-style brick rectory is connected to the church by a hyphen. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

Earleville is an unincorporated community in Cecil County, Maryland, United States. Earleville is located at the intersection of Maryland Route 282 and Grove Neck Road west of Cecilton. Located at Earleville and listed on the National Register of Historic Places are: Bohemia Farm, Mount Harmon, Rose Hill, and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

Bohemia Farm, also known as Milligan Hall, is a historic home located on the Bohemia River at Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland. It is a five bays wide, Flemish bond brick Georgian style home built about 1743. Attached is a frame, 19th century gambrel-roof wing. The house interior features elaborate decorative plasterwork of the Rococo style and the full "Chinese Chippendale" staircase. It was "part-time" home of Louis McLane. The estate was founded by Augustine Herman, a Bohemian-born cartographer from Mšeno. Ephraim, the oldest son of Herman, was among the principal converts to the Labadist faith, a Frisian Pietist sect that practiced a form of Christian communism that emphasized asceticism, plain dress, gender equality, and universal priesthood. In 1683, Augustine Herman granted 3,750 acres (15 km2) of land to the Labadists to form a colony. The Labadist commune never managed to gain more than 100 settlers and ceased to exist after 1720. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located in Earleville, Cecil County, Maryland. North Sassafras Parish, as it was originally known, was one of the original 30 Anglican parishes in the Province of Maryland, named for its location north of the Sassafras River which separated Cecil County from Kent County, Maryland. On June 22, 1834, this parish hosted the ordination as an Episcopal deacon by bishop William Murray Stone of William Douglass, a Methodist preacher who then became the second rector of the historic African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas in Philadelphia (after Absalom Jones), where the African American abolitionist was ordained as a priest and served until his death in 1862. The current church has a single-story rectangular stuccoed brick main block, three bays by three, resting on a partially excavated fieldstone foundation and covered by a steeply pitched slate roof. It features a 4-story bell tower with broach spire and patterned slate roof. This Gothic Revival structure was built in 1870–1874 but incorporated the walls of the earlier churches of 1824 and 1735. A graveyard surrounds the structure. The structure was designed by Thomas Dixon, a Baltimore architect.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
