Westminster is a census-designated place (CDP) in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 3,008 at the 2010 census, up from 2,515 in 2000. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is in the proposed City of St. George.

Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (OLOLRMC) is a general medical and surgical facility located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is a Catholic hospital member of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS). The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission, and it serves as a teaching hospital to Our Lady of the Lake College, Louisiana State University, Tulane University, and Southern University. OLOLRMC is the dominant institution in healthcare in the Greater Baton Rouge area and the largest private medical center in Louisiana, with over 1,020 beds. In a given year, OLOLRMC treats approximately 25,000 patients in the hospital, and services about 350,000 persons through outpatient locations. It has a complement of almost 900 physicians and 3,000 staff members. The Lake also operates two nursing homes, has an affiliated cancer facility adjacent to the main hospital, and operates a number of outpatient services on its campus as well as in outlying locations.

The LSU Rural Life Museum is а museum of Louisiana history in Baton Rouge, US. It is located in the Burden Museum and Gardens, a 400-acre (1,600,000 m2) agricultural research experiment station, and is operated under the aegis of Louisiana State University. As a state with a diverse cultural ancestry, Louisiana has natives of French, Spanish, Native American, German, African, Acadian, and Anglo American heritage. Guided tours are available for groups of ten or more and must be booked in advance. The Rural Life Museum commemorates the contributions made by its various cultural groups through interpretive programs and events throughout the year. The main portion of the museum is outdoors and consists of homes and outbuildings built in the 18th and 19th centuries. This portion of the museum is divided into three areas. The Working Plantation illustrates the life of working people on a 19th-century plantation, with a main focus on the lives of enslaved persons. The complex buildings include a commissary, overseer's house, kitchen, slave cabins, sick house, schoolhouse, blacksmith shop, sugar house, church, and grist mill. The Southern part of the outdoor museum includes several cabins and outbuildings, including the Neal home, a dogtrot house; the Stoker barn; the Stoner Athens Cabin; and a pioneer cabin originally located in Washington Parish. This section highlights the contributions of mainly American settlers to Louisiana in the northern and central part of the state in the 19th century. The Acadian or Cajun portion of the outdoor museums consists of two Acadian style homes, one a replica and the other built by the Bergeron family between 1800 and 1815 on Bayou Lafourche and moved to the museum in 2005.Additionally, the Barn, an interior warehouse open to the public, houses numerous artifacts from the 19th and early 20th centuries that were utilized in the common life rituals of individuals in rural regions of the state. There is a large collection of farming equipment, tools, furnishings and utensils. The barn was moved to its present site from the Stoker House property in Sabine Parish, Louisiana after it was donated in 1999. Windrush gardens and a gift shop are on the grounds and open year-round except for major holidays.

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, formerly Our Lady of the Lake College, is a private Catholic university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was founded in 1923 and is sponsored by the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady, North American Province. The university has an enrollment of approximately 1700 students. It offers associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Baton Rouge General Medical Center – Bluebonnet Campus is a 201-bed, private hospital located at 8585 Picardy Avenue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The hospital offers various medical services and surgical procedures in addition to an Emergency Department. The hospital is a subsidiary of General Health System (GHS), the corporate parent of Baton Rouge General that handles some administrative functions for the hospital. In addition to Baton Rouge General Medical Center, the GHS Organization includes Baton Rouge General Physicians, Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, Baton Rouge General Medical Center's Foundation and other programs spanning over the Capital city's nine-parish service area. Baton Rouge General Medical Center – Bluebonnet Campus and Baton Rouge General Medical Center - Mid-City Campus are considered one hospital with two locations.

On July 17, 2016, Gavin Eugene Long shot six police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in an ambush attack, in the wake of the shooting of Alton Sterling. Four died, including one who was critically wounded and died from complications in 2022, and two others were hospitalized; of the officers who initially died, two were members of the Baton Rouge Police Department, while the third worked for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. Long, who associated himself with organizations linked to black separatism and the sovereign citizen movement, was shot and killed by a SWAT officer during a shootout with police at the scene.

The Mall of Louisiana is a mid-scale shopping mall in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, between I-10 and Bluebonnet Blvd. It is the largest mall in Louisiana and contains the third largest indoor carousel in the world. It is the only regional mall in Baton Rouge. The anchor stores are 2 Dillard's stores, Main Event Entertainment, JCPenney, and Macy's. The Boulevard is an unenclosed area of the mall that opened in 2008. Retailers and eateries include: Apple Inc., Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor Loft, BJ's Brewhouse, Chico's, Soma Intimates, C&J Clark, L'Occitane en Provence, Jos. A. Bank, Pottery Barn, Select Comfort, Sephora, and Menchie's.

Inniswold is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 6,180 at the 2010 census, up from 4,944 in 2000. In 2020, its population was 5,987. It is part of the Baton Rouge metropolitan statistical area. It is in the proposed City of St. George.

Jimmy Swaggart Ministries is a Christian evangelical organization located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The organization was founded in 1984 by Pentecostal televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. It also runs Jimmy Swaggart Bible College, and Family Worship Center, the megachurch Jimmy's son Donnie and grandson Gabriel, are pastors. It has an international outreach and has preached to millions of people across the world.

Its programming is also broadcast full-time on co-owned KCKR (91.1 FM) serving Lafayette, Louisiana, WQUA (102.1 FM) serving the Mobile Alabama area; WJYM (730 AM) serving Bowling Green/Toledo, Ohio area; and WFFL (91.7 FM) serving Panama City, Florida; and WGSG (89.5 FM) serving Lake City, Florida. SonLife Radio is also broadcast full-time on a growing network of broadcast translators around the U.S., mostly in the south and west. The station has been programming this format since 1995, and offers programming from the Family Worship Center and Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
