The original Rocky Run shelter sleeps six people, has a flat floor, and provides enough space to sit up. The new shelter can sleep up to sixteen and features a wood floor and a plywood-floored loft, as well as a covered front deck and large windows which flood the shelter with light. Accommodations available include two decks, a grill pit, porch swing, and semi-enclosed privy.

Nicodemus Mill Complex is a historic home and mill complex located at Keedysville, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It consists of a dated 1810 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay stone house with a mid-19th-century brick service wing, the ruins of a grist mill built about 1829, and an extensive complement of 19th-century domestic and agricultural outbuildings including a stone springhouse, stone-end bank barn, brick out kitchen, frame wash house, and a stuccoed stone secondary dwelling. It is an intact representative example of the type of farmstead characteristic of the region during the 19th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Snively Farm is a historic home and farm located near Eakles Mills, Washington County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story, three-bay 18th century log structure with an exposed basement at the front elevation on fieldstone foundations. The home features a two-story, three-bay rear addition built in the late 18th or early 19th century with a one-story, two-bay stone kitchen. The property includes a stone springhouse and a frame butchering or outkitchen with a massive stone exterior chimney.The Snively Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Fox's Gap, also known as Fox Gap, is a wind gap in the South Mountain Range of the Blue Ridge Mountains, located in Frederick County and Washington County, Maryland. The gap is traversed by Reno Monument Road. The Appalachian Trail also crosses the gap along the ridgeline.

Crampton's Gap, also known as Crampton Gap, is a wind gap on South Mountain in Maryland. The 928 feet (283 m) gap connects Burkittsville in the Middletown Valley to the east with Gapland and Rohrersville in the Pleasant Valley to the west. Documentation of the earliest land tracts in the Crampton's Gap area and records related to the earliest road may be found in The Land Tracts of the Battlefield of South Mountain by Curtis L. Older.The gap is the location of Gathland State Park and was the site of the Battle of Crampton's Gap on September 14, 1862, during the Maryland Campaign of the American Civil War.
