Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop

Tuen Mun Ferry Pier (屯門碼頭), or Tuen Mun Ferry Terminal, is a public pier located in the southern area of Tuen Mun, Hong Kong.Tuen Mun Ferry Pier, Tuen Mun Pier Head, and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop (MTR Light Rail) refer to the street-level transportation hub that is adjacent to the pier and consists of a light rail terminus and a bus terminus. The Ocean Walk shopping centre, above the transportation hub, is managed by MTR Corporation. Pierhead Garden is the private housing estate above the shopping centre and transportation hub.Before the extensive improvement of the road network during the late 1990s and 2000s, the traffic congestion on the overloaded Tuen Mun Road was unbearable so expansion on this road was needed. During this period, ferry service at this pier was used as an alternative for traffic to and from Central on Hong Kong Island.

Tuen Mun South is the future western terminus of MTR's Tuen Ma line. It is to be constructed elevated across Wu King Road and Wu Chui Road in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. The construction of the station is gazetted as part of the Tuen Mun South extension by the Hong Kong Government in January 2022. The station is expected to open for service in 2030.

Siu Hei (Chinese: 兆禧) is an MTR Light Rail stop in Hong Kong located at ground level at Wu On Street between Siu Hei Court and Yuet Wu Villa, in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 17 November 1991 and belongs to Zone 1. It serves Siu Hei Court, Yuet Wu Villa and Wu King Estate.

Miami Beach Towers (traditional Chinese: 邁亞美海灣; simplified Chinese: 迈亚美海湾; Jyutping: maai6 aa3 mei5 hoi2 waan1; pinyin: Màiyàměi Hǎiwān) is a private housing estate located in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong near Light Rail Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop. It was built by Sino Land on land reclaimed from Castle Peak Bay.

Marina Garden Ferry Pier (Chinese: 慧豐園碼頭) was a ferry pier outside Marina Garden (Chinese: 慧豐園) in Tuen Mun south, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located close to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier and Light Rail Tuen Mun Ferry Pier stop. It provided one ferry route to Tung Chung, Sha Lo Wan and Tai O on Lantau Island, which is operated by Fortune Ferry Company (富裕小輪公司), but the pier was relocated to nearby Tuen Mun Ferry Pier in 2009.

Melody Garden (Chinese: 美樂) is an MTR Light Rail stop. It is located at ground level at Wu Chui Road between Melody Garden and Butterfly Estate in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 1.

Castle Peak Bay is a bay outside Tuen Mun. Tuen Mun River empties into the bay. In the past, many Tanka fishermen harboured at the bay.In 1513, explorer Jorge Álvares arrived in the Pearl River Delta and started a Portuguese settlement, Tamão. One source specifically states that it was located at the "bay of Tunmen ... now called Castle Peak".There are several barbecue sites and recreation facilities near the bay including the Castle Peak Beach and other beaches. Castle Peak Bay is served by MTR Bus routes K51, K58, Kowloon Motor Bus 52X and 53.

Butterfly (Chinese: 蝴蝶) is an MTR Light Rail stop. It is located at ground level at Lung Mun Road, near Butterfly Estate and Siu Shan Court, in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 1.

Hung Lau is a house built between 1905 and 1910 on former farmland in Pak Kok, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. It was used by the Revive China Society (興中會) as a base for revolutionary activities against the Qing dynasty.

Tuen Mun Swimming Pool (Chinese: 屯門泳池) is an MTR Light Rail stop located at ground level at the junction of Hoi Wong Road and Hoi Wing Road, next to KMB Tuen Mun South Depot and to the southeast of Tuen Mun Swimming Pool, an aquatics centre in Area 16 of Tuen Mun. It began service on 17 November 1991 and belongs to Zone 1. It serves Tuen Mun Swimming Pool and nearby areas. A railway station, currently named A16 station, has been proposed to be built as part of the Tuen Mun South extension of the Tuen Ma line.

Light Rail Depot (Chinese: 輕鐵車廠) is an MTR Light Rail stop. It is located at ground level at the junction of Lung Mun Road and Tuen Tsing Lane, near Tuen Mun Depot and Sun Tuen Mun Centre, in Tuen Mun District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 1.

The Battle of Sincouwaan (traditional Chinese: 茜草灣之戰; simplified Chinese: 茜草湾之战; pinyin: Qiàncǎo Wān zhī Zhàn), also known as Battle of Veniaga Island (Portuguese: Batalha da Ilha da Veniaga) was a naval battle between the Ming dynasty coast guard and a Portuguese fleet led by Martim Afonso de Mello that occurred in 1522. The Ming court threatened to expel Portuguese traders from China after receiving news that the Malacca Sultanate, a Ming tributary, had been invaded by the Portuguese. In addition, the Portuguese had been conducting piracy, acquiring slaves on the Chinese coast to sell in Portuguese Malacca, and preventing other foreigners from trading in China. Portuguese traders were executed in China and a Portuguese embassy was arrested, with their freedom promised on the condition that the Portuguese returned Malacca to its sultan. Martim Afonso de Mello arrived at the Pearl River but was blockaded by a Ming fleet despite his offers of amends. After two weeks without being able to gain a foothold in China they decided to run the blockade and managed to escape with the loss of two ships and several dozen men. The battle was fought off the northwestern coast of Lantau Island, Hong Kong at a location called Sai Tso Wan today.
