Yuen Long is a town in the western New Territories, Hong Kong. To its west lie Hung Shui Kiu (洪水橋), Tin Shui Wai, Lau Fau Shan and Ha Tsuen, to the south Shap Pat Heung and Tai Tong, to the east Au Tau and Kam Tin (錦田), and to the north Nam Sang Wai.

Yuen Long Town (formerly Un Long Town or Un Long Hui) is located in the district centre of Yuen Long District, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the heart of Yuen Long and Yuen Long New Town, with a population of around 200,000.

Tai Kiu Tsuen (Chinese: 大橋村; lit. 'Village of Big Bridge') is a historic walled village in Shap Pat Heung, Yuen Long District, Hong Kong.

Long Ching Estate (Chinese: 朗晴邨) is a public housing estate in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong, near Tai Kiu Tsuen and within walking distance to MTR Long Ping station. It consists of two residential blocks completed in 2016.

Tai Tong Road (Chinese: 大棠路) is an at-grade MTR Light Rail stop located at the junction of Castle Peak Road and Tai Tong Road in Yuen Long District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 5. This stop used to be known as "大棠道" in Chinese but it was renamed to "大棠路" on 13 June 2010; its English name remains unchanged. The stop has many shops and office buildings found here, giving the nickname Causeway Bay of the New Territories.

Fung Nin Road (Chinese: 豐年路), formerly Town Hall (Chinese: 大會堂), is an at-grade MTR Light Rail stop located at the junction of Castle Peak Road and Fung Nin Road in Yuen Long District. It began service on 18 September 1988 and belongs to Zone 5. It serves Fung Nin Road and Yuen Long Plaza.

Long Ping (Chinese: 朗屏) is an MTR Tuen Ma line station located in the northern part of Yuen Long Town to the southeast of Long Ping Estate, in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The station is elevated over Yuen Long Nullah with two public transport interchanges on the northeast and south sides. There is also cycle parking nearby. There is also a network of footbridges connecting the station to Long Ping Estate, Yuen Long Plaza and other nearby housing estates.

Yuen Long Estate (Chinese: 元朗邨) was a public housing estate in Yuen Long Town, Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong, located to the east of Long Ping station on the MTR. It was the first public housing estate in Yuen Long. The estate had five residential blocks built in 1968 that were demolished in 2001. The site was then turned into an outdoor car park. The site has been rebuilt as two parts—Long Ching Estate, a public housing estate, and Yuccie Square, a private housing estate.

The New Territories Heung Yee Kuk Yuen Long District Secondary School (abbreviated as NTHYKYLDSS) (Chinese: 新界鄉議局元朗區中學) is a Hong Kong secondary school located in Yuen Long, New Territories. Its motto is in Chinese "務本力學", meaning "conscientiousness and diligence". The official medium of instruction is English.

The Yuen Long Plain, in the northwestern corner of the New Territories, is the largest alluvial plain in Hong Kong. With an area of 144.3 square kilometres (55.7 sq mi), it was formed between the time of the Tang dynasty (618–907) and Song dynasty (960–1279). It covers Yuen Long Town, Tin Shui Wai, Lau Fau Shan, Ping Shan, Shap Pat Heung, Hung Shui Kiu, San Tin, Lok Ma Chau, Pat Heung, Kam Tin, Nam Sang Wai, Mai Po, etc. In the past it was mainly covered by marshes, fields and fish ponds. Yuen Long New Town and Tin Shui Wai New Town were built on the plain.

Fung Ting Court (Chinese: 鳳庭苑) is a Home Ownership Scheme court developed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority in Yuen Long Town, New Territories, Hong Kong near Fung Kam Street Sports Centre. Formerly the site of Yuen Long Factory Estate (Chinese: 元朗工廠大廈), the factory estate was built by the Resettlement Department in 1966, in order to relocate squatter factories and cottage workshops. In 1973, the management of the estate was taken over by the Hong Kong Housing Authority. In 1997, the clearance of the estate was completed. In 2001, two small blocks were built in the site.

Yuen Long District (formerly romanised as Un Long) is one of the districts of Hong Kong. Located in the northwest of the New Territories, it had a population of 662,000 in 2021
