Congregation Beth Or (Hebrew: House of Light) is a Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue located in Maple Glen, Pennsylvania, a northern suburb of Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Beth Or was established in 1955 in Mount Airy. In 1974, the congregation moved to Spring House, until relocating in 2006 to its current home in Maple Glen. The dedication of the new synagogue on May 15, 2006, was attended by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell.Rabbi Gregory Marx has led Beth Or since 1989. In 2018, Associate Rabbi Jason Bonder joined the congregation.

Temple University Ambler is a suburban campus of Temple University. The Ambler campus is located 30 minutes outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. While its postal address is in Ambler, Pennsylvania, it is actually in Upper Dublin Township. It has 2,950 undergraduate and 962 graduate students, with a 3:4 male/female ratio (60% female). The campus is 187 acres (0.76 km2), including the Landscape Arboretum, and includes two residence halls. On campus, there are 30 student organizations. The campus offers 21 bachelor's degree programs—8 majors and 13 minors—as well as one associate degree program.

Skip Wilson Field is a baseball stadium in Ambler, Pennsylvania. It is the home field of the Arcadia University baseball team which moved to the ballfield in 2018.

The Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women was one of the first horticultural schools to be established by and for women in the United States, opening on February 10, 1911. As the second institution to provide women with a practical education in horticulture and landscape architecture, it made possible their entry into a professional field. Although some men were employed in faculty positions, the school's leadership was intentionally female. As of 1919, the board of trustees consisted of twenty-five prominent women citizens.: 134  All but the last director of the school were women.The school played a "unique role" in women's history and garden history. Members of the school were instrumental in the establishment of the Garden Club of America (1913), the Woman's National Agricultural and Horticultural Association (1914), the Woman's Land Army of America (1917),: 134–135  and the publication of the Farmer's Digest. It served as a national and international model for other institutions, such as the Keisien School in Japan.In 1958, the school merged with Temple University Ambler and became co-educational.

The Upper Dublin Friends Meeting House is a Quaker meeting house located at the intersection of Fort Washington Avenue and Meetinghouse Roads in Upper Dublin Township, Pennsylvania in the United States. The building was constructed in 1814 on land donated by local resident Phebe Shoemaker. The graveyard of nearly one acre contains the graves of many of the township's most notable early families. Bean's 1884 History of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania makes mention of the horse-block (a step for mounting or dismounting from a horse) that can still be seen at the Meeting House: "About twenty yards from the front-door is a horse-block, of stone, consisting of five steps to the top, four and a half feet from the ground and three and a half feet wide, now so rare as to become an object of interest to the antiquary."The Upper Dublin Friends Meeting is a thriving congregation, with Meeting for Worship every Sunday at 10 a.m., and is part of the Abington Quarterly Meeting of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.

Jacob Kastner Loghouse is a historic home located at Spring House in Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The log house was built about 1712 to 1754, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, English single pen plan dwelling. It measures approximately 15 feet wide and 16 feet, 6 inches, deep and has a stone cellar. The house is covered with board and batten siding and has a purlin roof. Also on the property is a contributing well.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Gilkison's Corner was a small hamlet located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The community was in Upper Dublin Township, at the intersection of Butler Pike and Bethlehem Pike. The term is primarily archaic in usage, and the location does not appear on modern maps. Usage of the term appears to have declined towards the end of the 19th century, around the time of the establishment of the more heavily populated Borough of Ambler, whose eastern border is located along Bethlehem Pike. Located at the intersection of two heavily travelled early roads, Gilkison's Corner was the location of a Revolutionary War-era tavern. A large tannery was established just south of Gilkison's Corner in the 1850s, and Upper Dublin's post office was located in Gilkison's Corner until 1827. Bean's 1884 History of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania describes Gilkison's Corner as follows: Gilkison's Corner is situated at the intersection of the Spring House and Butler road turnpikes. It contains a store, six or seven houses and the extensive steam tannery of Alvin D. Foust, established some thirty years ago. It was at this place where Andrew Gilkison kept a tavern in the Revolution and for some years thereafter. The Upper Dublin post-office was located here before 1827, but has been removed half a mile distant ... At the present Gilkison's Corner, on the Bethlehem turnpike, Andrew Gilkison kept an inn from 1779 to 1786, and most probably later; hence the name of the place. This was on the store property now owned by David Dunnet. About a quarter of a mile above this place was a tavern formerly kept by Benjamin Daves. Paul Bower kept an inn in 1774, and Susanna Wright in 1779, which we are at present unable to locate, but very probably in this vicinity.

Jarrettown is an unincorporated community located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The community is in Upper Dublin Township, 2.2 miles (3.5 km) east of the Borough of Ambler and 2.75 miles (4.43 km) southwest of Horsham. Jarrettown is located at the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Jarrettown Road, approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Limekiln Pike's intersection with Susquehanna Road and 1.3 miles (2.1 km) southwest of Jarrettown Road's intersection with Pennsylvania Route 63. Bean's 1884 History of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania describes Jarrettown as follows: Jarrettown is the second largest village, and is situated near the centre of the township, on the Limekiln turnpike, which was constructed in 1851. It contains a hotel, store, a three-story Odd-Fellows' Hall, two-story public school-house and twenty-one houses. The post-office was established here in 1866. Gordon in his "Gazetteer," mentions this place in 1832, as containing five or six dwellings. The name of the place was derived from Levi Jarrett, the owner of several farms in this vicinity in 1815. In 1776, John Jarrett was assessed for two hundred and thirteen acres. The name of Jarrett, like those of Fitzwater and Dresher, has now become extinct in Upper Dublin.

Benjamin Obdyke Incorporated is a building materials manufacturer based in the Philadelphia suburb of Horsham, Pennsylvania. The company was started by its namesake, Benjamin P. Obdyke in 1868. Benjamin P. Obdyke is credited with creating and manufacturing the first corrugated downspout while the company itself claims patents on three products that have been integral in the advancement of building practices over the past 20 years: Roll Vent the first rolled ridge vent, Cedar Breather the first wood roofing underlayment, and Home Slicker the first rolled product to provide drainage and air flow in rainscreen wall assemblies. While the company’s origins are closely tied to the metal gutters and downspouts business, Benjamin Obdyke sold off that part of their business in the late nineties and now exclusively sells roof and wall products that help improve the building envelope, most of which feature the company’s patented matrix technology.
