Spencer House, also known as Spencer Residence, located in Syracuse, New York was built in 1913. Along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Islamic Society of Central New York is a "purpose-built" Sunni mosque and Islamic community centre located on Comstock Avenue in Syracuse, NY. Founded in 1981, by Khaja Qutubuddin, the center serves the needs of Central New York's estimated 15,000 - 20,000 Muslims providing various services and outreach programs for the Muslim and non-Muslim community. It also runs an Islamic cemetery and the Madrasat Al Ihsan/School of Excellence (founded in 1993) on West Onondaga Street. The mosque is served by a full-time Imam and is administered by an elected Shura Council. The mosque is home to a diverse congregation. Over a quarter of the mosque's congregants are African-Americans, one quarter Arabs and one fifth represent South Asia. The remainder are from various parts of the world, with European Muslims (primarily immigrants from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, and a much smaller group of White American converts) making up approximately 5% of mosque attendees. Between one and two thirds of the community is estimated to be foreign born.

The Ward House in Syracuse, New York was designed in 1914 by architect Ward Wellington Ward. It was one of two speculative properties that Ward and his wife arranged to have built. Along with others of his works, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Estabrook House in Syracuse, New York was built in 1909. Along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes in Syracuse, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. The home's design includes a gambrel roof and a jettied second story.It is located at 819 Comstock Ave. in Syracuse.The Charles Estabrook Mansion is another Ward home, in Fayetteville outside Syracuse.

Porter House, also known as Porter Residence, in Syracuse, New York, is a home designed by Ward Wellington Ward. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 for its architecture.

The University Neighborhood is one of Syracuse, New York's 26 officially recognized neighborhoods. It borders the neighborhoods of Westcott to the north, University Hill to the west, Outer Comstock to the southwest, Skytop (South Campus) to the south, and Meadowbrook to the east. The University Neighborhood is mostly residential, with only a few convenience stores located throughout. The neighborhood is close to retail and dining, however, with Westcott Street being lined with small shops and restaurants immediately to the north, and the Nottingham Plaza across East Colvin Street at its southeastern corner. This plaza has a grocery store, Eckerd drug store, liquor store, barber shop, as well as a UPS Store behind it. Additionally, Marshall Street, the main retail area of adjacent University Hill is within a short walk of the northwestern corner of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is also home to the city's only cooperative grocery store, the Syracuse Real Food Co-op.

WJPZ-FM is a radio station in Syracuse, New York. It broadcasts at 89.1 FM at an effective radiated power of 1,000 watts and can be heard throughout Syracuse, the rest of Onondaga County, and beyond to the north and east. WJPZ primarily programs a Top 40 (CHR) radio format. A notable amount of airtime during the academic year is devoted to sports talk and live play-by-play coverage of select local sporting events.

WAER (88.3 FM) is a radio station in Syracuse, New York. It is located on the campus of Syracuse University, and is a part of the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. The station features a jazz music and National Public Radio format, with a news, Syracuse Orange play-by-play, and music staff providing programming around the clock. It is best known for its sports staff, which has produced the likes of Bob Costas, Mike Tirico, and many others. Lou Reed also hosted a free-format show on WAER during his time at Syracuse University; this free-format radio tradition at Syracuse is carried on by WERW. Other alums include Ted Koppel, Jerry Stiller and Dick Clark. The station is managed by full-time professional staff and employs as many as 50 students each semester.

The Welsh House, also known as Welsh Residence in Syracuse, New York was built in 1912. It was listed, along with other Ward Wellington Ward-designed homes, on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center is a college basketball practice facility located in Syracuse, New York. The facility opened September 24, 2009. Both the men's and women's basketball teams for Syracuse University use the center. The facility houses two practice courts, locker rooms and office facilities for the men's and women's basketball programs at Syracuse. It is located on the north side of Manley Field House, in between the Roy Simmons Sr. Coaches Wing and the Comstock Art Facility. The name comes from NBA star forward Carmelo Anthony, who donated $3 million to the project. Anthony played one year with the Orange, the 2002-2003 season, in which he helped the program win its only NCAA Championship.

The John A. Lally Athletics Complex, formerly known as Manley Field House, is a multi-purpose academic and athletics village at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Located at the university's South Campus, it is home to 20 Syracuse Orange athletics teams and serves as a hub for over 600 student-athletes. Following announcement of a $150 million expansion plan, it was renamed the John A. Lally Athletics Complex in 2021.

The Syracuse University School of Architecture, commonly known as Syracuse Architecture, is one of the 13 schools and colleges of Syracuse University. The school offers bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture that are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Founded in 1873, it is the fourth oldest architecture program in the United States.
