Avenue Henri Martin (Paris RER)

Avenue Henri-Martin is an avenue in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, named after the French historian Henri Martin (1810–1883), onetime mayor of the 16th arrondissement. The Avenue Henri-Martin in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is 663 metres long and 40 metres wide. It starts at Rue de la Pompe and ends at the Place de Colombie, where Boulevard Suchet changes into Boulevard Lannes. Both streets lead to the outskirts of the urban forest Bois de Boulogne. It also passes through two “Quartiers” (a “Quartier” is a part of town): Muette, which lies in the eastern part, Porte Dauphine in the western part. At the eastern end of the street there is a metro station (Rue de la Pompe), which is a stop on line nine. At the western end the station Gare de l’avenue Henri Martin, which is connected with the RER lines, is operated from the lines C1 and C3.

The Colegio Español Federico García Lorca (French: Ecole Espagnole "Federico García Lorca") is a Spanish government-operated school for children from 3 to 12 years old in Paris, France that teaches in Spanish language, French language and English language. It is located at 53 Rue de la Pompe in the 16th arrondissement. It is affiliated to the institute Liceo Español Luis Buñuel, in the Paris area.As of the 2015–2016 school year, 79.6% of the school's 221 students were Spanish nationals.

The Château de la Muette (French pronunciation: ​[ʃɑto də la mɥɛt]) is a château located on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, France, near the Porte de la Muette. Three châteaux have been located on the site since a hunting lodge was transformed into the first château for Princess Marguerite de Valois, favorite daughter of King Henry II, sister of Kings Francis II, Charles IX and Henry III and the first wife of King Henry IV, in the 16th century. The first château was extended and substantially reconstructed by Louis XV. Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette lived at this second château, and the first manned flight, in a hot air balloon, set off from the château in 1783. The old château was demolished in the 1920s to make room for substantial houses, including a new château built by Henri James de Rothschild, which is now part of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's headquarters.

The 16th arrondissement of Paris (XVIe arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is referred to as seizième. Indeed, the 16th arrondissement of Paris is France's third richest district for average household income, following the 7th, and Neuilly-sur-Seine, both adjacent.The 16th arrondissement hosts several large sporting venues, including: the Parc des Princes, which is the stadium where Paris Saint-Germain football club plays its home matches; Roland Garros Stadium, where the French Open tennis championships are held; and Stade Jean-Bouin, home to the Stade Français rugby union club. The Bois de Boulogne, the second-largest public park in Paris (behind only the Bois de Vincennes), is also located in this arrondissement.

La Muette (French pronunciation: ​[la mɥɛt]) is a station on line 9 of the Paris Métro, in France, named after the Chaussée de la Muette, a nearby street. The station opened on 8 November 1922 with the opening of the first section of the line from Trocadéro to Exelmans. The Chaussée de la Muette is named after the Château de la Muette, which was converted from a hunting lodge to a small castle for Margaret of Valois, the first wife of King Henry IV of France. The meaning of the name of the hunting lodge is not known. It may have derived from "muete", a spelling which appears frequently up to the end of the eighteenth century and which signifies a pack of deer-hounds (meute); it may have come from the "mues" or horns which stags shed in the autumn; or again from the "mue" or moulting-period of hunting hawks. The old château was demolished in the 1920s to make room for a wealthy housing estate. A new château was built nearby for Baron Henri James de Rothschild (1872–1947) in 1922. This is now the headquarters for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Musée Marmottan Monet (English: Marmottan Museum of Monet) is an art museum in Paris, France dedicated to artist Claude Monet. The collection features over three hundred Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings by Claude Monet, including his 1872 Impression, Sunrise. Marmottan Museum's fame is the result of a donation in 1966 by Michel Monet, Claude's second son and only heir.

Rue de la Pompe (French pronunciation: ​[ʁy d(ə) la pɔ̃p]) is a station on line 9 of the Paris Métro, named after the Rue de la Pompe. The station opened on 8 November 1922 with the opening of the first section of the line from Trocadéro to Exelmans. This Passy street is mentioned in the archives of 1730 as a way of skirting the walls of the Château de la Muette. It led to one of the gates in the wall surrounding the Bois de Boulogne. It was called the old path, but was transformed at the end of the 18th century into a street and was named after the pump (French: pompe) that supplied water to the Château de la Muette. Nearby are the Lycée Janson de Sailly (a prestigious high school) and the town hall of the 16th arrondissement.

Avenue Foch station (French: Gare de l'Avenue Foch) is a station in the Paris express suburban rail system, the RER. It is in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It had previous been called Avenue du Bois de Boulogne as part of the Auteuil line, but was renamed following the change to the road itself. The station was once a "sunken" station, meaning that it was not covered.

The Musée de la Contrefaçon is a museum of counterfeiting. It is located at 16, rue de la Faisanderie, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France, and open daily except Monday; an admission fee is charged. The nearest métro and RER stations are Porte Dauphine and Avenue Foch. The museum was established in 1951 by Union des Fabricants (Unifab), an organization of manufacturers. It currently exhibits more than 350 items, pairing each counterfeit with its authentic original. A wide variety of items are displayed, including toys, pens, clothes, tools, toiletries, luxury goods, etc.

Lycée Janson de Sailly is a lycée located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France. The lycéens of Janson are called les jansoniens and they usually refer to their high school as Janson, or JdS. It is the biggest academic institution in the region: 3,200 boys and girls from 11 to 20 attend classes ranging from junior high school to Classes Préparatoires.
