Treaty of Bird's Fort

Bird's Fort was a community north of present-day Arlington, Texas (USA). In 1841, when John Neely Bryan established Dallas, he invited the settlers at Bird's Fort to come live in his proposed city.

CentrePort/DFW Airport station is a Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail station in Fort Worth, Texas. It is located on Statler Boulevard just south of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. It opened on September 16, 2000, and is a station on the TRE commuter line, serving the CentrePort business park and DFW Airport.

The Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZFW) is located at 13800 FAA Road, Fort Worth, Texas, United States 76155. The Fort Worth ARTCC is one of 22 Air Route Traffic Control Centers in the United States. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is north of the control center. On December 30, 2020, a case of COVID-19 caused an evacuation of the control center and a complete ground stop.[1][2]

The American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum (CRSM) is located on the campus of the American Airlines Flight Academy, which is situated at the southern end of DFW Airport, in the city limits of Fort Worth, Texas, and in close proximity to the world headquarters of American Airlines. The location is at the midpoint between Downtown Dallas and Downtown Fort Worth near the intersection of Highways 183 and 360. The CRSM has an exhibit gallery of approximately 25,000 square feet (2,300 m2) and a 10,000-square-foot (930 m2) hangar that houses the Flagship Knoxville, a fully restored DC-3 aircraft. The museum also includes a 1,500-square-foot (140 m2) gift shop and a large-format theatre similar to IMAX. The museum opened on July 3, 1993, and is dedicated to the history of American Airlines and commercial aviation.In November 2016 the museum received a grant from The Boeing Company to extend its Flight Workshop Program to disadvantaged students in nearby Title 1 primary schools.

Messenger College is a private Pentecostal college in Bedford, Texas. The institution is accredited through the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) and its students are eligible for federal student aid programs. Mosier Valley is an area of Fort Worth, Texas, located just south of Euless, Texas. It was the first freedmen's town in Tarrant County.

KKGM (1630 AM) is an iHeartMedia radio station licensed to Fort Worth, Texas, and serving the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The station broadcasts an African American targeted news format, as one of two local affiliates, along with KHVN (AM 970), of the national Black Information Network.

Shock Wave is a steel roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. Built right at the edge of the park, Shock Wave is easily seen by passers-by on Interstate Highway 30. Its unique four-sided tube truss track system is similar to The Riddler Mindbender roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia which was constructed at the same time.

Seven Seas Marine Life Park was a marine mammal park, and animal theme park built and owned by the city of Arlington, Texas, United States. The park opened on March 18, 1972. The 35-acre (14 ha) site was located in north Arlington off Interstate 30 near Six Flags Over Texas and adjacent to Arlington Stadium. The park lost almost half a million dollars in 1972, 1973 and 1974 and after the 1975 season, the animals were sold. The park reopened for the 1976 season as Hawaii Kai. The attendance for that season was at an all-time low and the city council of Arlington voted to close the park because it did not generate enough revenue to both pay its operating expenses and pay off the bonded indebtedness.The property is now the site of the Arlington Sheraton Hotel and has several buildings on the property that date back to the park. In addition, there is a remaining piece from the Japan garden, a very nice, large bridged Pagoda still exists outside the hotels court pool area.

Arlington Stadium was a baseball stadium located in Arlington, Texas, United States, located between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas. It served as the home for the Texas Rangers (MLB) from 1972 until 1993, after which the team moved into The Ballpark in Arlington (now Choctaw Stadium).

The Six Flags Over Texas Oil Derrick is a 300-foot (91 m) tall observation tower, and an attraction at the theme park Six Flags Over Texas. Six Flags claims it to be the world's tallest land-based oil derrick (although it is actually not functional as such, and never has been). When the tower opened, it had a twelve-lane slide, attached at the first balcony level (50 ft), on which riders could slide down on using burlap bags. With two elevators holding 50 people each, the attraction has a capacity of 2000 riders per hour. The tower served as a replacement for the former Sky Hook attraction.

Runaway Mine Train (originally called Run-A-Way Mine Train) is a steel roller coaster located in the Boomtown section of Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas. Built in 1966, Runaway Mine Train is the oldest roller coaster in the park.
