South China Normal University station

South China Normal University (SCNU; 华南师范大学) is a provincial public normal university in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Guangdong, and co-sponsored by the provincial government and the Ministry of Education. The university is part of the Double First-Class Construction and Project 211. The university is featured distinctively by both teaching and research, consisting of diverse branches of learning such as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, technology, and management. There is also an elementary school affiliated with this university.

The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University, or Hua Shi Fu Zhong (HSFZ; simplified Chinese: 华南师范大学附属中学; traditional Chinese: 華南師范大學附屬中學; pinyin: Huánán shīfàn dàxué Fùshǔ Zhōngxué) is a high school in Guangzhou, Guangdong, People's Republic of China. It is a key provincial high school directly under the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and SCNU. The school is among the first schools designated as "the A-Class School" by the Provincial Education Bureau. In a 2016 ranking of Chinese high schools that send students to study in American universities, it ranked number 21 in mainland China in terms of the number of students entering top American universities.If unspecified, HSFZ refers to its main campus in Gangding, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. It also has three other campuses, including two in Guangzhou, one in Foshan and one in Shanwei. The main campus is a provincial public school, while the other campuses are private schools.

Gangding Station (simplified Chinese: 岗顶站; traditional Chinese: 崗頂站; Cantonese Yale: Gōngdíng Jaahm) is a station on Line 3 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operation on 30 December 2006 and is located under Zhongshan Avenue West (中山大道西) in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou.

The South China University of Technology (SCUT; 华南理工大学) is a public university in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education and co-sponsored with the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. The university is part of Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction. The university is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, combined with science, also promoting well coordinated development of management, economics, humanities and law.

Shipai Village (Chinese: 石牌; Hanyu Pinyin: Shípái; Tongyong Pinyin: Shíhpái; Jyutping: Sek6paai4) is the largest urban village in Guangzhou, China. It is situated in the middle of Tianhe District in Guangzhou, with dense multi-story dwelling houses building in and lands for collective use. The village is supported by 170 narrow alleys yet surrounded by tall buildings and busy commercial streets. There are many shopping and entertaining centers as well as several institutions of higher education such as Jinan University nearby. With an area of only one square kilometer, it has over 50,000 people who come from the rural areas staying at Shipai Village. Shipai Village have a variety of traditional cultural relics and some examples of historic architecture. It mixes the elements of tradition and modernization and it serves as a "bridge" between rural areas and the city.

Metro Plaza is a two complex of towers in Guangzhou, China. Metro Plaza I is 198.8 m (652 ft) with 52 storeys, and China Mayors Tower is 116 m (381 ft) with 28 storeys. Construction of the complex was completed in 1996.

The Teem Plaza (Chinese: 天河城广场) is a twin tower complex in Tianhe District, Guangzhou, China that consists of 45-storey, 195 m (640 ft) Teem Tower, a 38-storey Sheraton Hotels and Resorts-branded hotels, and a shopping mall. Construction of Teem Plaza was completed in 2008.

Ji'nan University (/dʒiː'nan/; Chinese: 暨南大学; pinyin: Jì'nán Dàxué; JNU) is a public university in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. It is affiliated with the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee. The university is part of the Double First-Class Construction and Project 211."Ji'nan" literally means "reaching southward," indicating the university's original mission to disseminate Chinese learning and culture from North to South when it was founded in 1906 in Nanjing. It is the first Chinese university to recruit foreign students and one of the universities with the largest number of international students in China.

Wushan Station (Chinese: 五山站; Cantonese Yale: Ńghsāan Jaahm) is a station on Line 3 of the Guangzhou Metro, which started operations on 30 December 2006. It is located under the junction of Yuehan Road (粤汉路) and Yuezhou Road (岳洲路) in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou, adjacent to the South China Agricultural University.

Guangzhou High School (Chinese: 广州中学), is a public secondary school in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou (Canton). Founded in 1963, it was approved as a national demonstration senior high school in 2008. It used to be Guangzhou No. 47 High School until it was renamed in 2018.

Shipaiqiao Station (simplified Chinese: 石牌桥站; traditional Chinese: 石牌橋站; Cantonese Yale: Sehk pàaih kìuh Jaahm) is a station of Line 3 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 30 December 2006. It is located in Tianhe District, underneath Tianhe Road between East Tianhe Road and East Tiyu Road.

On 11 January 2023, the driver of a black BMW X3 deliberately rammed his vehicle into a crowd of pedestrians and motorists on Tianhe Road in Guangzhou, China, killing six people and injuring 29 others. 22-year-old Wen Qingyun was arrested in connection to the attack and sentenced to death for endangering public safety.
