Indio Hills

Coachella Valley National Wildlife Refuge is a 3,709-acre (15.01 km2) protected area in Riverside County, California's Coachella Valley. It lies within the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms, just north of Palm Desert. The refuge contains the majority of critical habitat for the Coachella Valley Fringe-toed Lizard (Uma inornata) within the Coachella Valley Preserve and Indio Hills Palms State Reserve.

Xavier College Preparatory High School is a private, Roman Catholic, Jesuit high school in Riverside County, California's Coachella Valley. It is located in the unincorporated Thousand Palms area, just outside the northern city limits of Palm Desert. The school falls within the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino and is the first lay-built, Jesuit-endorsed high school of its kind. It is associated with the six other Jesuit high schools in the state of California.

Acrisure Arena is a multi-purpose 11,000-capacity indoor arena in the unincorporated community of Thousand Palms in Riverside County, California. The arena opened in December 2022 on 43.35 acres (17.54 ha) of land in the Coachella Valley near the city of Palm Desert, between Interstate 10 and the Classic Club golf course. It is the home arena for the American Hockey League's Coachella Valley Firebirds, and is a primary venue for events in the Greater Palm Springs Area. Acrisure, a financial technology company, paid an undisclosed sum for 10 years of naming rights.

Sky Valley is a census-designated place in Riverside County, California. Sky Valley sits at an elevation of 994 feet (303 m). The 2010 United States census reported Sky Valley's population was 2,406.

Shadow Hills High School is a public high school for grades 9–12. It is located in north Indio, California, United States. Other high schools in the area are Indio High School, La Quinta High School and Palm Desert High School. The main feeder school are Indio Middle School and Desert Ridge Academy which replaced the former Woodrow Wilson Middle School in 2009.

The Agua Caliente Casino is a gambling facility, run by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, in Rancho Mirage, California. The facility has over 45,000 square feet (4,200 m2) of gambling floor. The casino completed a 16-story, 173-foot (53 m) hotel tower which opened on April 18, 2008. The tower is the third-tallest building in the Inland Empire. The paved and landscaped parking lot on the property was, nearly 40 years before, a sandy patch of desert, across which Jonathan Winters drove a moving van, in the film It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. The Agua Caliente Band also runs the ‘’’Spa Resort and Casino’’’ in nearby Palm Springs, California, which became Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs in 2019.

Bermuda Dunes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California. The population was 7,282 at the 2010 census. Bermuda Dunes is located near Indio and 19 miles (31 km) east of Palm Springs. The community's former name was Myoma. The Bermuda Dunes Country Club was developed in 1958 by Ernie Dunlevie and Ray Ryan; it attracted celebrities such as Clark Gable as members. Bermuda Dunes is served by the Bermuda Dunes Airport.

Bermuda Dunes Airport (IATA: UDD, ICAO: KUDD, FAA LID: UDD) is a public use airport located in Bermuda Dunes, a town 13 nautical miles (15 mi, 24 km) east of the central business district of Palm Springs, a city in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California, United States. It is privately owned by Crown Aero, LLC.The airport is home to Desert West Aviation, a local flight school, as well as Coachella Valley Aviation, providing A&P/IA service for airplanes and helicopters.
