Collège Béliveau is a Grade 7 to 12 French immersion school with 35 teachers serving approximately 600 students. It was the first French immersion centre in Western Canada after its conversion from English in 1982.

Saint Boniface—Saint Vital (French: Saint-Boniface—Saint-Vital; formerly Saint Boniface) is a federal electoral district in Winnipeg, Manitoba that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1925. The district covers roughly the southern portion of the city of Winnipeg, east of the Red River. In particular, it contains the Franco-Manitoban community of Saint Boniface and roughly the northern two-thirds of the community of St. Vital. The riding (as federal electoral districts are called in Canada) has a sizeable French population (16% according to the last census) and was a Liberal Party stronghold for most of its history. However, Conservative Shelly Glover, a Winnipeg police sergeant, won it in 2008 and three years later became the first centre-right MP in the riding's history to be re-elected. It is the only riding in Western Canada that regularly elects francophone candidates to parliament.

Niakwa Country Club is a country club and golf course in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The 18-hole course was designed in 1923 by Stanley Thompson, the one of the most internationally recognised Canadian golf course architects.Niakwa has hosted several major national tournaments, including the Canadian Open in 1961; the Canadian PGA Championship in 1946, 1952 and 1960; the RCGA Men's Amateur Championship in 1974 and 2011; and the Canadian Ladies' Amateur Championship in 1956, 1972, and 2001. The club has also hosted the Canadian Tour's Manitoba Open on several occasions and the Winnipeg Open, a PGA Tour event, in 1946 which was won by Ben Hogan.

Southdale is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created in the provincial redistribution 1999, mostly out of Niakwa and part of St. Vital. The riding is located in the southeastern section of the City of Winnipeg. Southdale is bordered on the east by the rural ridings of La Verendrye and Springfield, to the south by Seine River, to the north by Radisson and St. Boniface, and to the west by Riel and St. Vital. The riding's population in 1996 was 19,029. Its character is mostly middle class. In 1999, the average family income was $68,944, and the unemployment rate was 5.00%. Twelve per cent of Southdale's residents are francophone. Health and social service work accounts for 14% of Southdale's industry. From 2003 to 2007, Southdale was the only riding in southeastern Winnipeg to be represented by a Progressive Conservative, following historical breakthroughs by the New Democratic Party of Manitoba (NDP) in surrounding ridings in the 2003 provincial election. The NDP proceeded to oust incumbent MLA Jack Reimer in the 2007 provincial election, completing their sweep of Southeast Winnipeg. The seat remained NDP from 2007 until 2016 when it returned to the PCs.

The St. Vital Curling Club, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a curling club in Western Canada and was founded in 1933. It started curling events in December 1933 in a building that was owned by the St. Vital Agricultural Society which it purchased in 1950. Glenwood is a neighbourhood in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, located in the northern section of the district of St. Vital. It is bounded by Carrière Avenue on the north, the Seine River on the east, Fermor Avenue on the south, and the Red River and St. Anne's Road on the west. As of the 2016 census, Glenwood had a population of 3,880.It is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in St. Vital and is mainly residential with some light commercial development, mainly retail and professional, along St. Mary's Road and St. Anne's Road. Guay Park in west Glenwood is the home of a war memorial honouring St. Vital residents who died in World Wars I and II and in Korea. Glenwood also contains the St. Vital Arch, featuring the former independent city's coat of arms. A mural at the St. Vital Curling Club in south Glenwood depicts scenes from the 1997 Red River flood; a list of flood years is also inscribed on the building's outer walls.The neighbourhood is also the home of Glenwood Community Centre, Glenwood School, the New Testament Church of God Pentecostal Church, the Winnipeg International Church of Christ, and Paroisse Ste. Marie, a francophone Roman Catholic church.

Island Lakes is a neighbourhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, located in the ward of St. Boniface at the southeast corner of the city. Developed by Novamet Development Corporation, the neighbourhood is set up in a curvilinear style typical of new suburbs. It is bordered by Abinojii Mikanah to the north, Perimeter Highway to the south, Lagimodiere Boulevard to the east, and the CPR Emerson railway tracks to the west. As of the 2016 Census, the population of Island Lakes is 7,525.

St. Vital (French: Saint-Vital) is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba.

St. Vital (French: Saint-Vital) is a ward and neighbourhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Located in the south-central part of the city, it is bounded on the north by Carrière Avenue; on the south by the northern limit of the Rural Municipality of Ritchot; on the west by the Red River; and on the east by the Seine River, except for the part lying south of the Perimeter Highway, which extends east across the Seine to the boundary of the RM of Springfield. The population as of the 2016 census was 67,580.Merging with Winnipeg in 1972, St. Vital was established in 1880 as a rural municipality, called the RM of St. Boniface. After the Town of Saint Boniface was formed in 1883, the RM continued operating as its own government, and was renamed to the Rural Municipality of St. Vital in 1903 to avoid confusion. In 1960, it became part of the Metropolitan Corporation of Greater Winnipeg, achieving city status soon after in 1962 until the Winnipeg merger.As a city ward, St. Vital is represented by a member of Winnipeg City Council. With slightly different boundaries, it also comprises the Winnipeg neighbourhood clusters of St. Vital North and St. Vital South.
