Valdarno

San Giovanni Valdarno railway station (Italian: Stazione di San Giovanni Valdarno) is situated on the Florence–Rome railway line, 50 km from Florence, on the section between Florence and Arezzo. The station is situated near the connection with the "direttissima" (high speed track). One train an hour passes on the direttissima without stopping. It arrives in Florence in 20 minutes. The other trains pass from the slow line via Pontassieve. The freight yard is used quite frequently because nearby the station there is a large still mill. All regional trains stop at the station. The station has one automatic ticket machine. The ticket office is open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. The station also has a waiting room. There are many monitors (two in the station, two for the platforms 2 and 3) displaying train departures and arrivals. The station has about 2118 passenger movements daily, or 0.773 million annually. Approximately 140 trains call here daily in each direction. Each hour 4 trains go both southbound and northbound. The first train arrives at 5:07 in the morning and the last one leaves the station at 00:03. Outside the station there is also a taxi service with numbers displayed on posters outside the station.

Stadio Virgilio Fedini is a multi-use stadium in San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of A.C. Sangiovannese 1927. The stadium holds 3,378.

Castelnuovo dei Sabbioni is a village (frazione) in the comune of Cavriglia in the province of Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy. As of 2011, it had a population of 1,242.Starting from the mid-sixties, the town was gradually abandoned by the inhabitants due to excavation activity in favor of the nearby Camonti, a newly established hamlet.The church in the village is devoted to Saint Donatus of Arezzo.

San Romolo is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic pieve or parish church located in the frazione of Gaville, within the town limits of Figline Valdarno, region of Tuscany, Italy. This church was originally erected between 1007 and 1070, and was encompassed by walls of a castle of the Ubertini family. The church is dedicated to St Romulus. The church had a major refurbishment in the 18th century, but subsequent attention attempted to restore it to the original Romanesque core. The building was heavily damaged during World War II, and restored from 1947 t0 1968 using mainly the original stone. The interior columns of the church have Romanesque capitals. In the left nave, is a fresco depicting the Annunciation by the studio of Ghirlandaio while on the right the frescoe once in the lunette of the facade is attributed to 15th century Sienese painters.
