Birds Mill Swamp is a swamp located just west of the Chesapeake Bay in Anne Arundel County on the Atlantic Coastal Plain region of Maryland in the United States. It lies between Maryland Route 468 (also known as Muddy Creek Road) and Route 2 and is just south of Mill Swamp Road. Its coordinates are 38.88167°N 76.57444°W / 38.88167; -76.57444.

Larkin's Hundred, also known as The Castle, is a historic home at Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story brick house. Although tradition holds that it was built in 1704 by Thomas Larkin, a son of John Larkin of nearby Larkin's Hill Farm, evidence suggest it was actually constructed in the second quarter of the 18th century for Captain Joseph Cowman, a mariner and wealthy Quaker. A white clapboard kitchen wing at the west end was added in 1870. A noteworthy interior feature is a graceful stairway of American walnut.Larkin's Hundred was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

Etowah is a historic home located at Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The original structure was built between 1820 and 1830, and is a two-story, three bay wide, brick structure. A Colonial Revival-style frame wing, designed by architect Archibald Coleman Rogers, was added about 1949. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

Christ Church, or Christ Episcopal Church, West River, is an historic Carpenter Gothic style Episcopal church at Owensville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is a small, board-and-batten church with a long narrow nave, small deep chancel, and an entrance porch on its south side. The church is reputed to be by the noted church architect, Richard Upjohn and was at least built from his published designs of 1852.Christ Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Obligation is a historic home at Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It was begun in 1743 and later enlarged in 1827, to two and one-half stories. The house was built for Thomas Stockett III, and was enlarged to its present configuration during the ownership of his grandson, Joseph Noble Stockett (1779-1858). Dr. Thomas Noble Stockett (1747-1802) was the son of Thomas III, and became a prominent citizen and served as a surgeon for the Maryland Line during the American Revolutionary War.Obligation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

Owensville Historic District is a national historic district at Owensville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is located around a small crossroads community located at the intersection of Owensville Road (MD 255) and Owensville-Sudley Road. It consists of a concentration of historic buildings leading up to and clustered around the intersecting roads. It consists of 27 buildings, including two church complexes, 16 dwellings with their associated domestic outbuildings, and several agricultural buildings, including tobacco barns. Included in the district is the separately listed Christ Church. Much of the historic building stock dates between 1825 and 1875.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Oakwood is a historic house at Harwood, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It was built in the 1850s and is a 2+1⁄2-story, frame vernacular farmhouse with Greek Revival influenced details. It is a highly intact, mid-19th-century tobacco plantation dwelling and is associated with Sprigg Harwood, a leader in the failed initiative to have Maryland leave the Union and align with the newly formed Confederate States of America.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
