City Point is a mixed-use multi-building residential and commercial complex in Downtown Brooklyn, New York City. City Point is, by square footage, the largest mixed-use development in the city. City Point III is currently the second tallest building in Brooklyn as well as the second tallest in Long Island.City Point was supported by the New York City Economic Development Corporation as a sustainable mixed-use development for retail and housing. The project was developed by Albee Development LLC and designed by Cook + Fox architects, and aims to be LEED-silver certified. It was expected to create at least 328 construction jobs and 108 permanent jobs.The complex is built over the northwest entrance to the DeKalb Avenue station on the New York City Subway's B​, ​Q​, and ​R trains. It is across the Flatbush Avenue Extension from Long Island University's Brooklyn campus, and across Fleet Street from the future site of 9 DeKalb Avenue. City Point is located on the former site of the Albee Square Mall, and its southern entrance is centered on the Fulton Street Mall near the historic Dime Savings Bank of New York.

The DeKalb Avenue station is an express station on the BMT Brighton Line and a local station on the BMT Fourth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of DeKalb and Flatbush Avenues in Downtown Brooklyn. It is served by the Q and R trains at all times, the B train on weekdays, and the D and N trains during late nights. During rush hours only, a few W train trips also serve this station.

The Brooklyn Tower (originally referred to as 340 Flatbush Avenue Extension and subsequently 9 DeKalb Avenue) is a supertall mixed-use, primarily residential skyscraper under construction in the Downtown Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. Developed by JDS Development Group, it is situated on the north side of DeKalb Avenue near Flatbush Avenue. The main portion of the skyscraper is a 93-story, 1,073-foot (327 m) tower designed by SHoP Architects. Preserved at the skyscraper's base is the Dime Savings Bank Building, which dates to the 1900s. When completed it will be the tallest structure in New York City outside Manhattan, as well as the first supertall building in Brooklyn.The bank building was built in 1906–1908 to designs by Mowbray and Uffinger; it was expanded by Halsey, McCormack and Helmer in 1931–1932. The bank was sold off in 2014, and the Brooklyn Tower was technically constructed as an addition to the Dime Savings Bank. The tower's superstructure topped out during October 2021.

The Brooklyn Paramount Theater is a former movie palace at 1 University Plaza at the intersection of Flatbush and DeKalb Avenues in downtown Brooklyn, New York. Opened in 1928, the building has been owned by Long Island University (LIU) since 1954. Converted for use by LIU as classroom space and a gymnasium, the building retains much of the theater's original decorative detail. Until recently the venue operated as a 1200-seat multi-purpose arena, formerly home to the Brooklyn Kings basketball team. It is now in the planning stages of a renovation to reopen the theater as a performing arts venue in 2019.

LIU Brooklyn is a private university in Brooklyn, New York. It is the original unit and first of two main campuses of the private Long Island University system.

Flatbush Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line. The Fulton Street Elevated was built by the Kings County Elevated Railway Company and this station started service on April 24, 1888. The station had 2 tracks and 1 island platform. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. The station was located west of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line, but had no connection to that elevated line. It was also located north of the Flatbush Avenue station on the Long Island Rail Road, now known as the Atlantic Terminal, and had no connections there either. This station was served by steam locomotives between 1888 and 1899. In 1898, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) absorbed the Kings County Elevated Railway, and it took over the Fulton Street El, and it was electrified on July 3, 1899. It closed on June 1, 1940, when all service from Fulton Ferry and Park Row to Rockaway Avenue was abandoned, as it came under city ownership. Current mass transit stations available nearby are either at Nevins Street subway station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line to the southeast, or at DeKalb Avenue subway station on the BMT Fourth Avenue and Brighton Lines to the northwest.

The Nevins Street station is an express station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Nevins Street, Flatbush Avenue, and Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn, it is served by the 2 and 4 trains at all times, the 3 train all times except late nights, and the 5 train on weekdays only.

One Willoughby Square (originally 420 Albee Square), styled as 1WSQ, is an office building under construction in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The building is being developed by JEMB Realty, and current plans have been drafted by FXCollaborative.

Fulton Street was a station on the demolished section of the BMT Fifth Avenue Line in Brooklyn, New York City. Served by trains of the BMT Culver Line and BMT Fifth Avenue Line, it had two tracks and one island platform. The station was opened on July 27, 1889 at Hudson Avenue and Fulton Street, and was the northernmost Fifth Avenue Line station before the line merged with the BMT Myrtle Avenue Line. It also had connections to the Fulton Street, DeKalb Avenue, and Flatbush Avenue Line streetcars. The next stop to the north was Bridge–Jay Streets. The next stop to the south was Atlantic Avenue, which still exists today as the Atlantic Avenue–Barclays Center subway station complex. It closed on May 31, 1940.

Elm Place – Duffield Street was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. The Fulton Street Elevated was built by the Kings County Elevated Railway Company and this station started service on April 24, 1888. The station had 2 tracks and 2 offset side platforms. It was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line, and until 1920, trains of the BMT Brighton Line. This station was served by steam locomotives between 1888 and 1899. In 1898, the Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company (BRT) absorbed the Kings County Elevated Railway, and it took over the Fulton Street El, and it was electrified on July 3, 1899. It closed on June 1, 1940, when all service from Fulton Ferry and Park Row to Rockaway Avenue was abandoned, as it came under city ownership. Current rapid transit service at these intersections consists of entrances to the Hoyt Street subway station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line built in 1908.

Institute of Design and Construction (IDC), was a non-profit technical college, now defunct, located in Brooklyn, NY. It was founded in 1947 by Vito P. Battista, R.A., a first generation Italian-American architect, civic leader and member of the New York State Assembly. IDC offered Associate degrees in Building Construction Technology and Architectural Design Technology as well as a variety of continuing and professional education courses. It was registered by the New York State Department of Education, but due to declining student enrollment and accreditation concerns by the New York State Board of Regents, IDC voluntarily ceased operations in July 2015.

Long Island University Field is a baseball, soccer, and softball venue in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It was home to the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds baseball, men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse, and softball teams of the NCAA Division I Northeast Conference until 2019, when LIU Brooklyn merged its athletics teams with those of LIU Post into a single unit, henceforth known as the Sharks, competing in Division I. Since then, the LIU baseball, soccer, women's lacrosse, and softball teams now play at the Post campus in Brookville, east of Brooklyn. The venue, which features an artificial turf surface, has a capacity of 2,000 spectators for soccer and lacrosse and 500 spectators for baseball and softball.
