Aarhus Docklands (Danish: Aarhus Ø) is a new neighbourhood and construction site in Aarhus, Denmark. Construction of Aarhus Docklands began in 2008 and most buildings and constructions have been finished as of 2018. The project will convert the former container port, Nordhavn in the Port of Aarhus, to a new residential, educational, commercial and recreational area, consisting of high rise buildings of modern architectural designs, seaside promenades and a network of canals. Fully developed, the Docklands neighbourhood is intended to sustain 10-12,000 residents and 10,000 jobs in an area equalling the size of Trøjborg, an adjacent neighbourhood. Aarhus Docklands offers a view of the Aarhus Bay and there is just a short distance to the inner city.Aarhus Docklands is part of the larger Peri-urban Harbour-areas (De Bynære Havnearealer) comprising nearly all of the old harbour district along the coastline. It is among the largest harbourfront development projects in Europe.

Isbjerget (Lit.: The Iceberg) is a residential building in the Aarhus Docklands neighborhood in Aarhus, Denmark. It is situated on the waterfront on Mariane Thomsens Gade and was finished in 2013 after three years of development. The building was designed by four architectural firms, the Danish CEBRA and JDS Architects, French Louis Paillard and Dutch SeARCH, and was funded by the Danish pension fund PensionDanmark.Isbjerget was the first project to be completed on the former industrial port area, which is being developed into a new residential and commercial neighborhood after the Port of Aarhus was moved to new facilities to the south of the city center. The building complex consists of four buildings with 208 apartments between 55 m2 (590 sq ft) and 200 m2 (2,200 sq ft) both rented and owned. The apartments are either in two stories, double in height or with shifted floor plans, catering to different needs.The buildings are up to ten floors tall but vary in height, with the shortest building closest to the waterfront and the tallest further back. The complex is designed and modeled after floating icebergs in the north Atlantic, both in shape and color. The buildings are divided and crisscrossed into smaller units with steep crooked roofs, to ensure that all inhabitants have ideal views of the sea. Visually, the buildings display sharp triangular edges and shifting, irregular facades. The buildings are clad in white terrazzo and have balconies made of blue glass.

Den Permanente (lit: The Permanent) is a sea bath and a beach in Aarhus, Denmark. Den Permanente is situated below the woodland park Riis Skov north of the city centre and along the railway line of Aarhus Nærbane. Den Permanente is one of two municipal beaches in Aarhus with public bathing structures, the other being Ballehage Beach in the Marselisborg Forests south of the city centre. The historic restaurant Sjette Frederiks Kro is situated in the forest above the sea bath. The sea bath consists of wooden buildings and jetties and provides changing facilities, showers, toilets, shelters, a life guard station and a nearby kiosk. The enclosed sandy beach is small. North and south of the structure there are two adjacent sandy spots and long stretches of rocky sea walls. The sea bath is only open to the general public in the daytime hours from late June to mid August, while the two adjacent beaches are publicly accessible year round. The sea bath was inaugurated in 1933, projected by Aarhus City Council and financed primarily by Aarhus Harbour. Prior to the permanent buildings, seasonal buildings had been erected in the summertime, hence the name "the permanent".

Aarhus is an H chondrite meteorite that fell to earth on 2 October 1951 at 18:15 in Aarhus, Denmark. The meteor split just before the otherwise undramatic impact and two pieces were recovered. They are known as Aarhus I (at 300g) and Aarhus II (at 420g). Aarhus I was found in the small woodland of Riis Skov, just a few minutes after impact.

Bellevue Beach is a public Blue Flag beach park in Aarhus, Denmark. It is located in the northern district of Aarhus N, 4 kilometres from the city centre, on the Bay of Aarhus. Bellevue Beach is one of two beach parks in the Risskov neighbourhood, the other one being the smaller Risskov Strandpark a bit south, and one of four beach parks in Aarhus. The two peninsulas of Tvedhalvøen and Helgenæs is visible across the bay in the east. In the south, there is a panoramic view of the Aarhus skyline, including the urban forest of Riis Skov. A few kilometres to the north, is the larger beach park of Åkrogen and the Egå Marina.

Risskov Kirke is a church located in the Risskov Parish of the Danish city, Aarhus.The Risskov Parish separated from the Vejlby Parish 30 November 1940. The Church was originally built in 1922 as a villa for chocolatier Fritz George Clausen (1871-1927), founder of the chocolate factory Elvirasminde, and was designed by architect Vilhelm Puck. After the death of Clausen's widow in 1933, her heirs donated the Villa to the recently formed Risskov Church Committee, fulfilling a wish she had expressed to her relatives before her death. The villa was adapted by architect Aksel Skov and the Church was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent, 2 December 1934. The present chancel was added in 1968. The Church was rededicated to Bishop Kjeld Holm in 1999.A glass mosaic in the east end serves as the altarpiece.

Aarhus Sejlklub (Aarhus Sailing Club) is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Denmark. It was established in 1879 in Aarhus, Central Denmark Region and is based out of the Aarhus Docklands. Aarhus Sejlklub is in the premiere division of the Danish League of Sail Sports and is a member of Sailing Aarhus which will host the ISAF Sailing World Championships in 2018.Aarhus Sejlklub maintains a fleet of Optimists and 49ers sailing in the Bay of Aarhus and Kalø Vig. The club also runs a school with instructors teaching a range of different disciplines for both youth and adults, leisure or professional sports. Aarhus Sejlklub has been a member of Danish Sailing Association since 1922.

Jydske Asyl (Asylum of Jutland) is a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark constructed in 1850 and listed in the national Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 15 December 1997. It was built as a psychiatric hospital and functioned as such till the end of 2018. From 2019, the historic buildings and surroundings are being redeveloped as a new residential area. The new neighbourhood is known as Bindesbøll Byen and is planned to hold 1,200 residences in four sections at its completion. The project is designed by Danish architectural firm Arkitema Architects.

Museum Ovartaci in Aarhus, Denmark is a combined art and historical museum dedicated to the history of psychiatric treatment and art produced by patients at the Risskov Psychiatric Hospital. It was a part of Aarhus University Hospital in the same buildings as the Psychiatric Hospital in Risskov, but now it is located on Katrinebjergvej in Aarhus N. The museum also offers social programmes directed at psychiatric patients, including an open atelier, creative workshops and a café.The hospital opened in 1852 under the name “Jydske Asyl” (English: Jutish Asylum) in buildings designed by Michael Gottlieb Bindesbøll. The art museum is on the ground floor of the building and holds a collection 12.000 works by psychiatric patients of which 850 are on display. Central to the exhibition is works by the painter and sculptor Louis Marcussen, also known as Ovartaci, who was a patient in the hospital for 56 years, from 1929 until her death in 1985, and after whom the museum is named.The psychiatric history museum resides on the first floor and features furniture and equipment used since the museum opened in 1852. In the early years, treatment at the hospital was divided into social classes with considerably more comfortable amenities for the upper classes, illustrated with exhibitions of the recreational facilities available to the different patient classes. Tools and workshops from the 19th century is in display, including a printing press, sowing room and woodworkings shop. The history of psychiatric treatment is illustrated with the tools used through the years, from lobotomy to electric shock therapy, and large placards detailing developments in psychiatric medicine and treatment.

Riis Skov (Riis' Forest or The Forest of Riis) is a forest and park in Århus, Denmark. It is located south of the district of Risskov, along the Bay of Aarhus.

Det Norske Hus (lit. 'The Norwegian House') is a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was first built in 1888 and it was listed in the Danish national registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 14 October 1996. The house is situated on the northern border of Riis Skov in the northern neighbourhood Risskov. The building is today privately owned and used as a home.The Norwegian House was originally built for the Nordic Exhibition of 1888 in Copenhagen by the architect Martin Nyrop. The house was part of a themed exhibit featuring a number of wooden houses of which several have survived until today. The Norwegian house was bought by Cecilia Meisner who had it rebuilt in new neighbourhood in Risskov in 1890. Another house, the Swedish House (Danish: Det Svenske Hus), was bought by Queen Louise who placed it in Bernstoffparken (Bernstoff Park) in Gentofte. The Swedish House was listed in 1987 and the Norwegian House was listed in 1996. At least two more of Nyrop's wooden buildings survive and are situated at Frederiksberg Hospital.

Vestre Strandallé railway halt is a railway halt serving the district of Risskov in the northern part of the city of Aarhus in Jutland, Denmark. The station is located on the Grenaa railway line between Aarhus and Grenaa. Since 2019, the station has been served by the Aarhus light rail system, a tram-train network combining tram lines in the city of Aarhus with operation on railway lines in the surrounding countryside.
