Smolenskaya Square

Smolenskaya (Russian: Смоленская) is a station on the Arbatsko–Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. It was built in 1953 to replace an older station of the same name, though that one was later reopened as part of the Filyovskaya line. The two stations are not connected. Smolenskaya has square, white marble columns with fluted corners, decorative cornices, and ventilation grilles concealed behind ornamental sconces. At the end of the platform is a bas-relief by G.I. Motovilov entitled "The Defenders of Russia," which depicts soldiers of the Red Army in battle. The architects of the station were Igor Rozhin and G. P. Yakovlev. At 50 m below the surface, Smolenskaya was the deepest station on the line until Park Pobedy opened in 2003. From 22 February 2020 to 9 July 2021, the station was closed for reconstruction due to the replacement of escalators.There is no direct transfer to Smolenskaya planned, but there is an out-of-system transfer to it. A direct transfer to Plyushchika on the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line is planned.

Smolenskaya (Russian: Смоленская) is a station on the Filyovskaya line of the Moscow Metro. It was opened in 1935 as part of the first Metro line. Designed by S.G. Andriyevsky and T.N. Makarychev, the station features grey marble pillars with flared bases and walls faced with white ceramic tile. Smolenskaya originally had two entrance vestibules, but one was demolished with the expansion of the Garden Ring avenue. There are still two sets of exit stairs on the platform, but one leads to a dead end where the passage to the old vestibule (very similar to the one still in use at Chistye Prudy) used to be. There is no direct transfer to Smolenskaya. Instead, there is a direct transfer to Plyushchika planned to the station from the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MFA Russia; Russian: Министерство иностранных дел Российской Федерации, МИД РФ) is the central government institution charged with leading the foreign policy and foreign relations of Russia. It is a continuation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, which was under the supervision of the Soviet Ministry of External Relations. The Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO is a governmental coordinating body ensuring cooperation of the Government of the Russian Federation, federal executive bodies, other bodies and organizations, as well as scientists and specialists with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia main building is one of seven Stalinist skyscrapers, designed and overseen by Vladimir Gelfreykh and Adolf Minkus.

State Museum and Exhibition Center ROSIZO (Russian: Государственный музейно-выставочный центр «РОСИЗО») is an institution of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. It is a multidisciplinary organization that develops and implements exhibition, cultural and educational projects in Russia and around the world. ROSIZO exhibitions are created both on the basis of their own collections and in the format of inter-museum and interdisciplinary cooperation. ROSIZO has its own collections of painting and sculpture, applied and folk arts, graphics and Soviet posters, as well as a collection of art from the late XX-early XXI centuries. The entire collection of ROSIZO has more than 45,000 items.

Golden Ring Hotel (Russian: Гостиница Золотое Кольцо) is a five-star hotel in Moscow. The hotel is located just opposite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building and the Arbat Street, on Smolenskaya Ulitsa.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Moscow is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the Russian Federation. Occupied since 1978, it is located on 6/8 Karmanitskiy Lane (Russian: Карманицкий переулок, 6/8) in the Arbat District of central Moscow, a short walk from the headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and near the former home of Alexander Pushkin and the residence of the Ambassador of the United States to Russia.

The Lotte Hotel Moscow (Лотте Отель Москва) is a 5 star hotel in Moscow situated at the intersection of New Arbat Avenue and Novinsky Boulevard.

The List House is a residence in Moscow constructed in 1898–1899 by the Russian architect Lev Kekushev. Located at 10 Glasovsky Lane, it was one of the first houses in Moscow built in the Style Moderne, the Russian term for Art Nouveau. It is classified as an historical cultural monument of the Russian Federation.

The Shcherbatov apartment house is the building in the center of Moscow on the Garden Ring (Novinsky Boulevard, 11). The apartment house was built in 1911–1913 by order of knyaz S. A. Shcherbatov by architect A. I. Tamanyan. The building belongs to the neoclassical style and has the status of an object of cultural heritage of Federal importance.

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Moscow is the chief diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in the Russian Federation. It is located in the Arbat District of Moscow, on Smolenskaya Embarkment of the river Moskva. The current ambassador is Deborah Bronnert CMG.
