Fretwell Park is a cricket ground in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The ground held a first-class match in 2006 when New Zealand Whites played Pakistan A as part of the 2006 Top End series. The match was abandoned due to rain, as a result it was decided to replace the match with two List A games between the sides. AFL is also played on this ground by the South Cairns Cutters.

Bentley Park College is a co-educational, state run school located in Bentley Park (Queensland, Australia). The school educates students from preschool to 12th grade.In 1997 (term 4), the school opened as a primary school in Centenary Park called "Edmonton State School", after a nearby town. In 1998, it was renamed "Bentley Park College" with commencement in operation as a P–7 school, a corresponding name change which was subsequently reflected in the suburb of "Centenary Park", which was renamed "Bentley Park".In 2011, the school's original motto, "Achieving Tomorrow's Visions Today" was replaced with its current motto of "Aspire Learn Achieve".

Sugarworld is a council-owned community water park, located in Edmonton, Cairns Region, Queensland, Australia. Its main attractions are water slides, pools, mini-golf and the canteen area. Sugarworld also includes a large amount of land occupied with a large variety of native animals and plant life. In 2010, Sugarworld closed due to safety precautions regarding the condition and maintenance of the water slides, which was judged to be too low to be safe. The topic of the park became a community debate, with most of the Edmonton community wanting the park to re-open. After significant discussions, a complete renovation of the water slides was set to occur sometime by December 2011, with the park re-opening before 2012. On Monday 20 December 2011, the park reopened its water slides and no further issues have been reported. In February, 2017 Belgravia Leisure group were appointed by Cairns Regional Council to manage the facility. In October 2018 a 9-hole adventure mini-golf course was completed and opened to the public as a new feature of the waterpark.

Trinity Anglican School (TAS) is an Independent Anglican School in Far North Queensland, Australia which opened on 25 May 1983. It has three campuses set over two grounds. TAS White Rock caters for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12, and TAS Kewarra Beach serves students from Kindergarten to Year 6. In 2015, TAS White Rock opened the Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) building (S-Block) designed by Charles Wright Architects, for students in Years 7 to 12. The White Rock campus' also have the first Olympic-sized swimming pool in Cairns, completed in 2000. TAS White Rock is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation programme of the older classrooms to bring it into line with that of the recent Science Block. The school which was founded in 1986 holds annual "Tours of the College" where parents can view the facilities at the college, however an appointment can be made to have a tour at any time of the year. This school is operated by the Catholic Diocese of Cairns. In January 2014 the school opened a $450,000 fitness centre to help students pursue a career in fitness.
