Mount Ogden

The Mount Ogden Via Ferrata hiking and climbing experience in Waterfall Canyon, is an outdoor recreation area located in Ogden City of Weber County, Utah. The privately owned climbing area is open for guided climbing tours only. The mountainous site in Waterfall Canyon is known for its sheer rock walls, beautiful views of Weber County and the City of Ogden. It features a guided Via Ferrata climbing experience including a beginning training wall. Rock climbing was once common there; climbers may now climb only if guided by approved climbing guides.

The 1957 NCAA Skiing Championships were contested at Snow Basin at Mount Ogden, Utah, at the fourth annual NCAA-sanctioned ski tournament to determine the individual and team national champions of men's collegiate alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and ski jumping in the United States.Denver claimed its fourth national championship in as many years, all under coach Willy Schaeffler, topping in-state rivals Colorado in the team standings.The sole repeat individual champion was Dartmouth's Chiharu Igaya in the slalom, his third consecutive and sixth individual NCAA title. He was the silver medalist in slalom at the 1956 Winter Olympics.

Snowbasin Resort is a ski resort in the western United States, located in Weber County, Utah, 33 miles (53 km) northeast of Salt Lake City, on the back (east) side of the Wasatch Range.Opened 85 years ago in 1939, as part of an effort by the city of Ogden to restore the Wheeler Creek watershed, it is one of the oldest continually operating ski resorts in the United States. One of the owners in the early days was Aaron Ross. Over the next fifty years Snowbasin grew, and after a large investment in lifts and snowmaking by owner Earl Holding, Snowbasin hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic alpine skiing races for downhill, combined, and super-G. The movie Frozen was filmed there in 2009. Snowbasin is located on Mount Ogden at the west end of State Route 226, which is connected to I-84 and SR-39 via SR-167 (New Trappers Loop Road).

The Ott Planetarium is a planetarium at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, USA. The facility is named for Layton P. Ott and the Ott family. The planetarium is operated by university students and is a place of learning for audiences and staff alike.

Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium is an outdoor multi-purpose stadium in the western United States, located on the campus of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Originally Wildcat Stadium, it was renamed in 1998 for Stewart (1905–1996), a notable campus and community benefactor.Used primarily for football, the 17,312-seat venue is the home of the Weber State Wildcats of the Big Sky Conference. It was expanded in 1966 with the construction of the primary grandstand along the northwest sideline, nearly doubling its capacity. The elevation of its synthetic turf playing field is 4,760 feet (1,450 m) above sea level; aligned northeast to southwest, the field was natural grass until 2011. Stewart Stadium is also the home venue for Weber State's outdoor track and field teams.

The Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions is a college of Weber State University located in the Marriott Allied Health building on the east side of campus south of the Science Lab building. Degrees awarded in the college are as follows: Dental Hygiene, Emergency Care EMT/Paramedic, Health Administrative Services, Master of Health Administration, Health Care Coding, Health Information Management, Health Sciences, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Master of Nursing, Radiology, and Respiratory Therapy.

Reed K. Swenson Gym (originally Wildcat Gym) is a 1,200-seat gymnasium in the western United States, on the campus of Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. It is currently the home of Weber State Wildcats women's volleyball team of the Big Sky Conference. Built 61 years ago in 1962 as Weber State's primary indoor venue, it was succeeded by the new Dee Events Center in autumn 1977. All three teams (men's and women's basketball, volleyball) moved to the Dee, leaving the gym without a varsity tenant. It was renovated in 2006 to accommodate volleyball, with its seating capacity significantly reduced. It is named for Reed Knute Swenson (1903–1989), the head basketball coach at Weber from 1933 to 1957 and longtime athletic director.The gym hosted the inaugural Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournament in 1976; the host Wildcats lost the title game in double overtime to Boise State, with an attendance of 4,679.The final men's basketball game was on February 12, 1977, a twelve-point win over Gonzaga before 4,941; the Bulldogs were winless in fifteen annual attempts at Wildcat Gym, but did upset Weber State by a point a week later in Spokane to foil their title hopes. Two weeks later at the conference tournament in Pocatello, the 'Cats returned the favor with a one-point win over the Zags in the semifinals.

The Augustus B. Patton House is a historic house in Ogden, Utah. It was built in 1891, before Utah became a state, for Augustus B. Patton, a lawyer and real estate developer who lived here until his death in 1911. The house was purchased by a series of homeowners until it was acquired in 1934 by S. Dilworth Young, a general authority in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who served on the First Council of the Seventy and the First Quorum of Seventy; he remained the homeowner until 1955. The house was designed in the Shingle style architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since February 19, 1982.

Weber State University (pronounced WEE-bər) is a public university in Ogden, Utah. It was founded in 1889 as Weber Stake Academy. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

The Devil's Gate-Weber Hydroelectric Power Plant was built in 1909–1910 on the Weber River in northeastern Utah, United States, about 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Ogden. It was built by the Utah Light and Railway Company under the direction of E.H. Harriman, a director of the Union Pacific Railroad. It was one of the first powerplants in Utah designed to feed an electrical grid rather than as a source of power of a single locality.
