Woodstock is a 2+1⁄2-story historic home located at Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The home is an outstanding example of a mid-19th-century plantation house with decorative elements in the Greek Revival style. The main block was probably built in the early 1850s by Washington Custis Calvert. The home is in the Tidewater house style.Woodstock was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Marlton is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 9,802 at the 2020 census. The Marlton housing development, at first briefly called "Brandywine Country", grew up along U.S. Route 301 in the 1970s, and is part of the greater Upper Marlboro community. Originally made up of only single-family homes, more recently townhouses have been added.

Rosaryville is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, located south of Cinton and Upper Marlboro beside U.S. Route 301. Per the 2020 census, the population was 11,548. including housing developments and rural open space. It was named for a local Roman Catholic church. Close to Rosaryville are the Marlton housing development, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, the Southern Maryland Farmers Market, and Rosaryville State Park.

Frederick Douglass High School (FDHS), is an American public high school established in 1935 and located in the Croom census-designated place of unincorporated Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, with a mailing address of Upper Marlboro and near Upper Marlboro. It started as a segregated school for African American students, and c. 1964 it became integrated. Douglass is a part of the Prince George's County Public Schools system, and is named after the famous abolitionist, journalist, and orator, Frederick Douglass. It was preceded by Marlboro Colored High School (1923–1935).

Alexander Memorial Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation located at 10675 Crain Highway in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, US. The congregation was founded in 1908 after a group of members left First Baptist Church in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It was named in honor of the founder of First Baptist Church, Reverend Sandy Alexander, who was a formerly enslaved person. For over 100 years, the congregation met in a building located on N Street NW in an area of Georgetown called Herring Hill, which was a 15-block enclave for around 1,000 African Americans families. Alexander Memorial Baptist Church was one of five black churches established in the area. The congregation purchased a lot, including the former home of astronomer Asaph Hall, and built a sanctuary adjoining the residence. The cornerstone was laid in 1909. The neighborhood's demographics began changing dramatically in the 1930s due to gentrification and discriminatory legislation targeting African Americans. By the 1980s, half of the congregation's active members no longer lived in Georgetown. In 2013 the pastor and congregation chose to sell the property and relocate to suburban Maryland, where many members lived. They have met in their current church building in Upper Marlboro since 2016. The former sanctuary and Hall's former house in Georgetown were sold for around $7.5 million and converted into luxury residences by a real estate developer. The sanctuary was converted into three condominiums listed at approximately $2-2.5 million each. The adjoining building was converted into a 5,250 square feet (488 m2) residence with a listing price of almost $6.8 million.

His Lordship's Kindness, also known as Poplar Hill, is a historic plantation estate on Woodyard Road east of Clinton, Maryland. It was built in the 1780s for Prince George's County planter Robert Darnall. The five-part Georgian mansion retains a number of subsidiary buildings including a slave's hospital and a dovecote. The property is now operated as a museum by a local nonprofit preservation group. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970.

Queensland is a census-designated place south of Upper Marlboro in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population of the CDP was 2,191 at the 2020 census. It was formerly known as Queenland until 2014 when its name was changed to Queensland and a small portion of its geography was transferred to Upper Marlboro.

Cheltenham Wildlife Management Area is a Wildlife Management Area in Prince George's County, Maryland. The 25-acre (10 ha) reserve is primarily used for recreation and for dove hunting. The area includes a public archery range.

Melwood Park is a historic home located near Upper Marlboro in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, Flemish bond brick structure, with Georgian details. As of 2009, it is undergoing an extensive restoration. This unique dwelling was visited by George Washington on several occasions and the British Army camped here during their march to Washington, D.C. in August 1814, during the War of 1812.Melwood Park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Melwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It was newly delineated for the 2010 census, at which time its population was 3,051. Per the 2020 census, the population was 3,977.

Cheltenham is an unincorporated community in Prince George's County, in southern Maryland, United States, adjacent to U.S. Highway 301. It is named after Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. The Cheltenham Youth Detention Center, a juvenile correctional facility, was founded in the 1870s as a "House of Reformation for Colored Children" by Baltimore merchant, banker, and philanthropist Enoch Pratt on his former farm property. Cheltenham is also home to the Southern Maryland Regional Farmers Market, and the Cheltenham State Veterans Cemetery, along with many scenic farms and woods. Nearby is the Marlton housing development.
