Sprundel

Rucphen (pronounced [ˈrʏkfə(n)] ) is a municipality and a town in the southern Netherlands between Roosendaal and Etten-Leur, south of the railway, but without a train-station.

Sint Willebrord is a town in the municipality of Rucphen in the Netherlands. It is also known by the name 't Heike which was the semi-official name up until 1950/1970 (mostly written as Theike, or less often Heike), which is the diminutive form of hei (heath) in local dialect. This town was formed on the former boundary between the "Baronie of Breda" and "Het Markizaat of Bergen op Zoom". Sint Willebrord is the largest of the five towns in the municipality of Rucphen. During Carnaval the town goes by the name of Heikneutersland Basically meaning ´Hillbillies´ land´ or ´Redneck's land´. The name "Sint Willebrord" comes from Saint Willibrord. Sint is the usual form in Dutch names to represent saints. Cyclist Wim van Est and footballer Rini (Pallack) Konings were famous sports personalities from Sint Willebrord.

Heikant is a hamlet in the municipality of Rucphen, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located about 2 km southeast of Sprundel.

It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 1994–present.Gault Millau awarded the restaurant 16 out of 20 points.Head chef of De Zwaan is Carlo Chantrel. Former head chefs include John Jansen (1991).De Zwaan is a member and one of the founders of Alliance Gastronomique Néerlandaise.The restaurant celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. Part of the celebrations were cooking-sessions of other famous head chefs: Jonnie Boer, Ron Blauw, Lucas Rive and Marc van Gulick. The restaurant was started by Ad Peijnenborg, father of present owner Roland Peijnenburg and member of the family who owned ontbijtkoek-firm Koninklijke Peijnenburg. The transition of ownership from father to son was planned for the end of 1991. Due to the unexpected death of his father, the takeover was advanced.In 2009, restaurant De Zwaan (The Swan) started with a bistro in the same building. This bistro was called "Het Lelijke Eendje" (The Ugly Duckling).The building is a Rijksmonument.

Etten-Leur is a railway station located in Etten-Leur, Netherlands. The station was opened on 11 December 1854 and is located on the Roosendaal–Breda railway. The station is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station was closed between 25 September 1940 and 30 May 1972.

Bosschenhoofd is a village in the municipality of Halderberge in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands. The village is also known as Seppe, a name used by the nearby Seppe Airport. Seppe was derived from Jacobus Sep who ran an inn. Before the municipal reorganization of 1997, Bosschenhoofd belonged to the municipality of Hoeven.

Oudenbosch is a railway station located in Oudenbosch, Netherlands. The station was opened on October 20, 1854, and is located on the Antwerp–Lage Zwaluwe railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

The Oudenbosch Basilica is a Roman Catholic basilica in the Dutch village of Oudenbosch. The basilica is named after Agatha of Sicily and Barbara of Nicomedia, two Christian martyrs from the third century. It was built at the initiative of Willem Hellemons who was parish priest between 1842 and 1884. Its nave and interior were modeled after St. Peter's Basilica, while the facade is a replica of the Basilica of St. John Lateran, both located in Rome. The basilica was designed by architect Pierre Cuypers. Construction began in 1865 but was not fully completed until 1892. The basilica is unique in the region in that it is relatively large with a classical Italian appearance that is atypical for most of northern Europe, let alone a small town in North Brabant. Dutch Papal Zouaves and local Catholics gathered in Oudenbosch and left for Rome in 1868 to defend the Papal State against Giuseppe Garibaldi's Italian nationalist army. Therefore Pope Pius IX agreed to build a relatively big basilica in a small place. Originally a church, it was designated a minor basilica in 1912. A piece of the cloak Pope John Paul II wore during the 1981 assassination attempt is kept there as a relic.Elements inspired by their counterparts in Rome include Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini's baldachin, the Chair of Saint Peter, and Bernini's Gloria.

Oudenbosch (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʌu̯də(m)ˈbɔs]) is a town in the municipality of Halderberge in the west of the Dutch province of North Brabant. Oudenbosch is well known for its 'Basiliek', a Catholic church that is a smaller copy of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
