Byers Canyon

The Colorado River Headwaters National Scenic Byway is an 80-mile (129 km) National Scenic Byway and Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway located in Eagle and Grand counties, Colorado, US. The byway follows the upper Colorado River from Grand Lake down to State Bridge. The byway connects with the Trail Ridge Road/Beaver Meadow National Scenic Byway at Grand Lake.

Hot Sulphur Springs is a statutory town and the county seat of Grand County, Colorado, United States. The town is located near Byers Canyon between Granby and Kremmling, 95 miles (153 km) northwest of Denver and 30 miles (48 km) northwest of Winter Park. The town population was 663 at the 2010 census, and has an elevation of 7,680 feet (2,340 m).

Grand County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 15,717. The county seat is Hot Sulphur Springs.

At the United States Census 2010, the population of the Parshall CDP was 47, while the population of the 80468 ZIP Code Tabulation Area was 391 including adjacent areas.

The Williams Fork is a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 33.8 miles (54.4 km) long, in north central Colorado in the United States. It flows through Grand County between the valleys of the Fraser River and the Blue River. It rises at the juncture of McQueary and Bobtail creeks just west of the Continental Divide 8 miles (13 km) west of Berthoud Pass and 7 miles (11 km) north of the Eisenhower Tunnel in the Arapaho National Forest. It flows north-northwest to the Williams Fork Reservoir, then turns northeast and joins the Colorado at Parshall.

Elk Mountain is a prominent mountain summit in the Rabbit Ears Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. The 11,424-foot (3,482 m) peak is located in Arapaho National Forest, 12.9 miles (20.8 km) northwest by west (bearing 301°) of the Town of Granby in Grand County, Colorado, United States.

Williams Fork Reservoir, located near the town of Parshall in Grand County, Colorado, is owned and operated by Denver Water. The reservoir impounds the Williams Fork of the Colorado River.

The Provisional Government of the Territory of Jefferson was an extralegal and unrecognized United States territory that existed in the Pike's Peak mining region from October 24, 1859, until it yielded to the new Territory of Colorado on June 6, 1861. The Jefferson Territory, named for Founding Father and third United States president Thomas Jefferson, included land officially part of the Kansas Territory, the Nebraska Territory, the New Mexico Territory, the Utah Territory, and the Washington Territory, but the region was remote from the governments of those five territories. The government of the Jefferson Territory, while democratically elected, was never legally recognized by the United States government, although it managed the territory with relatively free rein for 19 months. Many of the laws enacted by the General Assembly of the Territory of Jefferson were reenacted and given official sanction by the new Colorado General Assembly in 1861.

Windy Gap Reservoir, located near the town of Granby in Grand County, Colorado, is owned and operated by the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. The reservoir's inflow and outflow are from and to the Colorado River. The confluence of the Fraser River and the Colorado River is about a mile upstream from the reservoir. A diversion dam creates the reservoir. A nearby pumping station sends water from the reservoir to Lake Granby, six miles away, where it is then pumped over the mountains to the Front Range.The project is able to divert about 48,000 acre-feet of water per year, chiefly during the snowmelt season from April to July.

Troublesome is an unincorporated community in Grand County, east of Kremmling in the U.S. state of Colorado.

The Fraser River is a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 32.5 miles (52.3 km) long, in north central Colorado in the United States. It drains a large portion of the Middle Park basin in Grand County in the Rocky Mountains west of Boulder and southwest of Rocky Mountain National Park. It rises at the continental divide on the north side of Berthoud Pass in the Arapaho National Forest. It flows NNW past Winter Park, Fraser, and Tabernash, and joins the Colorado River from the south two miles west of Granby.
