Westfield Fashion Square is a shopping mall in the Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys areas of Los Angeles, California. It is owned by Westfield Group. Its anchor stores are Bloomingdale's and Macy's. The mall opened on April 22, 1962, as Bullock's Fashion Square, anchored by Bullock's and I. Magnin department stores. It was officially dedicated on August 13, 1962. Later known as Fashion Square Sherman Oaks, the mall added a Joseph Magnin store in 1966 and The Broadway department store in 1977. From 1988 to 1990, the outdoor mall was enclosed and double-decked with a Mediterranean theme. In 1994, the mall suffered serious damage from the Northridge earthquake. In 1996, Bullock's was converted into Macy's and The Broadway became Bloomingdale's—the result of Federated Department Stores buying out Carter Hawley Hale Stores, the Broadway's parent company. The Westfield Group acquired a half-interest in the shopping center in 2002 and renamed it "Westfield Shoppingtown Fashion Square" in 2003, dropping the "Shoppingtown" name in June 2005.Westfield Fashion Square underwent another major renovation in 2013, creating a more cosmopolitan look and an upgraded food court.Westfield Fashion Square has been featured in many television and film productions, including Malcolm in the Middle, The Office, Clueless, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Valley College station is a station on the G Line of the Los Angeles Metro Busway system. It is named after the adjacent Los Angeles Valley College. The station is in the Valley Glen district of the City of Los Angeles, located on Burbank Boulevard and Fulton Avenue, in the eastern San Fernando Valley.

Humphrey Yogurt is a frozen yogurt shop in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. The store was established by Maria and Raphael Baker in 1984. Current owner Paula Sheftel purchased the store in 1986 for $110,000. At its peak, the chain supported six stores in the greater Los Angeles area however, as of 2024, only the Sherman Oaks location remains open. In 2017, a CBS News affiliate identified it as one of the best frozen yogurt stores in Los Angeles. The store's name is a play on the name of the famous actor Humphrey Bogart. In 2021, the store attracted significant media attention after Meghan Markle discussed the store in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the interview, Markle disclosed that she had worked at the store during her early teenage years and that doing so had shown her the "value of working." Following the interview, the store experienced a massive surge in popularity. Seeking to capitalize on this newfound popularity, the store subsequently launched a new, limited-time yogurt flavor called "Banana Royale" in honor of Markle. The media attention was so significant that the store briefly hired a publicist (and former employee) to interface with the media.

North Valleyheart Riverwalk is a linear park in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County, California. The park is located on north side of the Los Angeles River roughly parallel to Ventura Boulevard through the Studio City and Sherman Oaks neighborhoods.Prior to redevelopment the space was used by locals walking their dogs but had no formal access points, paths or seating. “With several convenient access points this previous eyesore is a beautiful dose of green in the heart of Studio City.” Access gates including staircases and/or ADA-accessible ramps are now available at Fulton, Ethel, and Coldwater Canyon Avenues. A bike path is planned for the south bank of the river, opposite the park.The Big Toad Gate, the Rattlesnake Wall, and the Steelhead Trout Mural, are among the attractions. The mural is made from “about 40,000 hand-picked local stones.”The project was organized and funded by the Los Angeles County Flood Control District in cooperation with the local non-profit Village Gardeners of the Los Angeles River.“LACFCD attributes successful maintenance of the site mainly to the Village Gardeners and their volunteers. The nonprofit relies on donations and the sale of advertising space along the Riverwalk to cover the cost of maintenance.”The park is located near the intersection of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Valleyheart Drive. Corky's was a restaurant in Los Angeles, California's Sherman Oaks neighborhood. It was designed by Armet & Davis and built in 1958. It has a sweeping roofline characteristic of Googie architecture. It was remodeled in the 1970s and has been restored in recent years. It originally opened as Stanley Burke's Coffee Shop on Van Nuys Boulevard and became Corky's in the early 1960s as it transitioned to being open 24-7. Billy Joel played piano at the eatery in the 1970s. After 25 years as Corky's, it became the Lamplighter, and was used in 2010 as a filming location for A Nightmare on Elm Street. The restaurant is now restored and renovated as a renewed Corky's.Corky’s closed for good December 14, 2019.

Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) is a public community college in Los Angeles, California. It is part of the Los Angeles Community College District.The college is adjacent to Grant High School in the neighborhood of Valley Glen. Often called "Valley College" or simply "Valley" by those who frequent the campus, it opened its doors to the public on September 12, 1949, at which time the campus was located on the site of Van Nuys High School. The college moved to its current location in 1951, a 105-acre (42 ha) site bounded by Fulton Avenue on the west, Ethel Avenue/Coldwater Canyon Boulevard on the east, Burbank Boulevard on the south, and Oxnard Street on the north. Los Angeles Valley College is one of nine colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges.The sports teams are the Monarchs and the school colors are green and yellow.

Woodman station (signed as Woodman/Valley Glen) is a station on the G Line of the Los Angeles Metro Busway system. It is named after adjacent Woodman Avenue, which travels north-south and crosses the east-west busway route. The station is in the Valley Glen district of Los Angeles, in the San Fernando Valley. The station is located next to Oxnard Street, and east of Woodman Avenue.

North Hollywood Medical Center (Medical Center of North Hollywood) was a hospital, operating from 1952 to 1998, in the community of North Hollywood, a district in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles. The hospital is famed as the filming location, from 2001 to 2008, of the multiple award-winning hospital comedy television show Scrubs. Located at 12629 Riverside Drive, the building was demolished in mid-2011. In February 2013, IMT Residential opened a new apartment complex on the site.

Monarch Stadium is a 6,000-seat multipurpose stadium in Valley Glen, California on the campus of Los Angeles Valley College. It was built in 1951, and has always been the home of the college's Monarchs football, soccer and track and field teams. Grant High School, which is adjacent to Valley College, also plays its home football and soccer games here. It also hosts its track meetings at the stadium though that activity has been curtailed since the school dropped its track and field program. The stadium was remodeled in 2006 and also hosts other sporting events and community events. Scenes from the Clueless episode "Homecoming Queen" were filmed here.
