Riverside Park (Buffalo, New York)

Riverside is a neighborhood of Buffalo, New York, located in the northwestern part of the city, along the Niagara River. It is sometimes referred to in conjunction with another community located directly south, Black Rock.

All Saints Roman Catholic Church is located at 127 Chadduck Ave, Buffalo, New York, in the city's Riverside neighborhood. It is part of the Diocese of Buffalo.

Public School No. 60, also known as Riverside Academy, is a historic school building located in the Riverside neighborhood of Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The original section was built in 1897, and is a three-story, 12 bay, "I"-plan red brick building with Renaissance Revival detailing. It sits on a raised basement and features polychrome, stepped façade, quoining, and classical entrances. A substantial three-story rear addition was built in 1922 and includes an auditorium. The building has been converted to accommodate 68 units of affordable housing. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Riverside Institute of Technology (formerly known as Riverside High School) was a public high school located in Buffalo, New York. It served Grades 9-12 and taught according to the Board of Regents. Riverside closed in June 2019 after years of low academic performance and safety concerns.

Tonawanda Engine is a General Motors engine factory in Buffalo, New York. The plant consists of three facilities totaling 3.1 million square feet (290,000 m2) and sits upon 190 acres (77 ha). The factory receives cast engine blocks from Defiance Foundry in Defiance, Ohio and Saginaw Metal Casting Operations in Saginaw, Michigan, and received engine block castings and cylinder heads from the former Massena Castings Plant in Massena, New York.

Strawberry Island is an uninhabited island in the Niagara River located in Erie County, New York, southeast of Grand Island. The five-acre (2 ha) island is owned by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and is managed as a fish and wildlife preserve.

McVan’s Nightclub (sometimes referred to as McVAN's Nite Club or McVan’s Rock Palace or Castle) was a supper club and live music venue in Buffalo, New York, located at the corner of Niagara Street and Hertel Avenue. It operated from 1922 until 1984. Over its decades of operation, McVan’s evolved from a supper‐club entertainment venue featuring jazz and blues artists of the day such as Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Art Tatum to rock acts such as Jimi Hendrix, and later became a focal point of Buffalo’s original rock, punk, and alternative music scenes.

Charter School for Applied Technologies is a charter school located in Buffalo, New York. Charter School for Applied Technologies was founded in 2001 as a K-6 school serving about 700 students. It has since then expanded into a K-12 school with three different campuses. It is the largest Charter School in New York State. It is also one of the only Charter Schools in New York State to offer a K-12 education. There are three different buildings for the Elementary School (K-5), Middle School (6-8) and the High School (9-12). All three are located in Buffalo, New York 14207 (except the Middle School, which is at zip code 14214). The Elementary School, Charter School for Applied Technologies Elementary School, opened in 2001. It is the main building and is located at 2303 Kenmore Ave. The Middle School, Charter Middle School for Applied Technologies Middle School, in the former (until 2013) Holy Angels Academy, is located at 24 Shoshone St. The 2014 - 2015 school year was the first year of CSAT being occupied in the former Holy Angels Academy building. The High School, Charter School for Applied Technologies High School is located at 2245 Kenmore Ave. Charter School for Applied Technology has an enrollment of about 2367 students from over 18 local school districts in Erie and Niagara County. Approximately 80% of students reside in the city of Buffalo. CSAT's Mission is to prepare students to attain family-sustaining careers by integrating career-exploration and a lifetlong learning culture.

The Black Rock Rail Yard is on the west side of Buffalo, New York, a half mile inland from the Niagara River, in the Black Rock neighborhood. The rail yard receives Canadian National Railway freight trains arriving from Canada by way of the International Railway Bridge. The yard is surrounded by old residential neighborhoods and some abandoned industrial facilities. To the north of the yard, beneath the tracks, runs Hertel Avenue. An abandoned portion of the north yard is now an automobile junk yard; Austin Street runs under the center of the yard. Most of the trackbed in the yard has been ripped up. To the south of the yard is the Niagara Thruway (I-190) and Scajaquada Creek which empties into the Black Rock Canal, formerly a channel of the Erie Canal. Trains depart the yard to the south by either the International Railway Bridge to Canada or the old New York Central Railroad line towards downtown Buffalo. Beneath the southern end of the yard crosses Amherst Street.

Eberz House is a historic home located in the Black Rock neighborhood of Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was built about 1892, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, wood-frame Queen Anne-style dwelling on a stone foundation. It features a highly decorated front porch with turned spindlework and textured surfaces. The Eberz family rented rooms for visitors to the Pan-American Exposition in 1901.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Buffalo Smelting Works is a historic copper smelting complex located in the Black Rock neighborhood of Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was built in 1891, and consists of a twinned, 2 1/2-story, brick building. It is topped by pitched roofs and clerestories. The industrial building reflects Romanesque Revival design. The building is the only element left from the smelting complex originally built by the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company. The property was acquired by the American Radiator Company in 1920, and is now part of a marina.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Dayton House is a historic home located at 243 Dearborn Street, in the Black Rock neighborhood of Buffalo, Erie County, New York. It was the home of Lewis P. Dayton (1821–1900), noted physician and Mayor of the City of Buffalo, New York, serving 1874–1875. The house has been dated to about 1840 in the Georgian style. It received an Italianate update in the 1870s and is an excellent example of canal era prosperity. It is the only remaining brick residence of its style in Black Rock.In 2011 the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
