The Sioux City Municipal Auditorium, known as the Long Lines Family Recreation Center or Long Lines Auditorium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose facility in Sioux City, Iowa. The fifth in a line of major indoor venues built in Sioux City, it was designed by Knute E. Westerlind in 1938 and finally completed after many delays in 1950. In the building's original form, it was an arena that seated up to 3,500 people. In 2003, the building was replaced by the Tyson Events Center, built around the northeast corner of the Municipal Auditorium. The building was then converted to its current use as a recreation center while preserving the exterior building. The converted arena was originally named Long Lines Family Recreation Center, though in 2023 the building added the Long Lines Auditorium signing to the southeast entrance and inside the auditorium. The auditorium is referred to as either name.

The Simmons Hardware Company Warehouse, also known as the Battery Building, is a historic warehouse located in Sioux City, Iowa that is on the National Register of Historic Places. The six-story building covered a whole block and its construction was supervised by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Sr., the time and motion study pioneer.

The Martin Hotel, erected as a Chicago style building in 1912, is located in Sioux City, Iowa. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, it is significant for its architecture, operating for many years as the Sheraton-Martin Hotel and now known as the Martin Tower Apartments.

T.S. Martin and Company, also known as Karlton's, Fishgalls & Cameo, is a historic building located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. It is an L-shaped structure that fronts both Fourth Street and Nebraska Street. It was occupied by one of three locally owned department stores from 1894 to 1919. The buildings on Fourth Street were originally built in 1885. T.S. Martin and Company itself dates from 1880 when Thomas Sanford Martin opened a dry goods store in rented commercial space. He first acquired 515-517 Fourth Street in 1885, which he leased to a clothing store, and his brother Louis opened T.S. Martin and Company Shoes by leasing 519 Fourth Street the same year. Local architect William McLaughlin was hired to renovate 515-17 Fourth and neighboring 519 Fourth Street, and T.S. Martin and Company moved their whole operation in 1894. In 1901 they hired another local architect, Henry Fisher, to design an annex along Nebraska Street. The three-story building completed in 1902 features Beaux-Arts styling that includes a roof-line knee wall, and a cornice with acanthus leaf brackets and decorative swags. Martin's acquired 521 Fourth Street, a mirror image of 519 Fourth Street, in 1904. In 1911 they hired yet another local architect, William L. Steele, to design a completely new facade to unify 515–517, 519 and 521 Fourth Street. Designed in the Prairie School mode, it features white terra cotta, long decorative bands of terra cotta details of foliage and geometric patterns, and Chicago-style windows. After T.S. Martin and Company moved into a new six-story building across Nebraska Street, no longer extant, in 1919 this facility was divided into multiple storefronts and occupied by a variety of commercial enterprises. The 515-517 portion of the Fourth Street facade was covered with a wood face and its cornice removed, before it was significantly altered to its present appearance. T.S. Martin and Company was bought by The May Department Stores Company of St. Louis in 1948. It was the last locally owned department store at the time. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Federal Building and United States Courthouse is located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. The present city hall in Sioux City was previously the post office, federal building and courthouse. This building replaced it. It was designed by the local architectural firm of Beuttler & Arnold with the Des Moines firm of Proudfoot, Rawson, Souers & Thomas providing input and oversight. Construction began in 1932 under the direction of the Acting Supervising Architect of the Treasury James A. Wetmore. The building was dedicated on December 29, 1933. The Federal Government had paid $270,000 for the property, and about $725,000 on construction. Architecturally, the three-story, stone structure is a combination of Stripped Classicism and Art Deco. The post office moved to a new facility in 1984, and additional office space and a new courtroom were created in the building. A further renovation was undertaken from 1999 to 2000 and a third courtroom a judge's chamber, jury deliberation room, library, and holding cell for defendants were added. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Orpheum Theatre, also known as New Orpheum Theatre and Orpheum Electric Building, is a performing arts center located at 528 S. Pierce Street in Sioux City, Iowa. Built in 1927 as a vaudeville and movie palace, the theatre was restored in 1999 and today is the home of the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.

The Badgerow Building is a historic structure located in downtown Sioux City, Iowa, United States. The building is twelve stories tall and rises 169 feet (52 m) above the ground. It was the tallest building in Sioux City for many years. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The Badgerow Building was voted one of the 50 Most Significant Iowa Buildings of the 20th Century by the Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. It was one of five buildings that represented the 1930s.

The Davidson Building is a historic building located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. It was constructed by local businessmen and real estate developers Ben and Dave Davidson. They saw the need for an upscale office building for professionals. They hired prominent local architect William L. Steele to design the Early Commercial-style structure. It was built by the leading contractor in the city, Lytle Construction Company. Completed in 1913, it was Sioux City's first office building. The exterior of the L-shaped, six-story building is composed of terra cotta panels separated by vertical bands of Roman style brick, and capped with an ornate cornice. It is Sullivanesque in its design. Commercial space is located on the first floor, and office space occupies the upper floors. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. In 2016 plans were unveiled to convert the building and the adjacent Warrior Hotel into a boutique hotel and apartments. The Davidson Building houses The Warrior Apartments, as well as 56 guest rooms for The Warrior Hotel on its second, third and fourth floors.

The Woodbury County Courthouse is located at 620 Douglas Street in Sioux City, the county seat of Woodbury County, Iowa, United States. It is regarded as "one of the finest Prairie School buildings in the United States" and has been declared a National Historic Landmark for its architecture. It is used for legal proceedings in the county.

Sioux City Community School District (SCCSD) is a public school district headquartered in the Educational Service Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The district is mostly in Woodbury County, with a portion in Plymouth County.

The Williges Building, also known as Cownie-Williges Building, is a historic building located in Sioux City, Iowa, United States. It is a three-story commercial block that was designed by local architects William L. Steele and George Hilgers. The structure was built for August Williges to house his fur manufacturing factory, salesroom, and storage facility. The decorative terra cotta details on the main facade are Sullivanesque in style, which reflects Steele's association with Louis Sullivan from 1897 to 1900. Completed in 1930, it is one of the last commercial buildings constructed in the early Prairie School style in the United States, and Steele's last architectural commission in Sioux City. It was also built at the end of the period of time when terra cotta was popularly used as wall cladding. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Warrior Hotel is a historic hotel opened in 1930 and restored in 2020, located in downtown Sioux City, Iowa, United States.
