Menlo Park (Afrikaans: Menlopark) is an upmarket suburb in the city of Pretoria, South Africa. It borders other upmarket areas Waterkloof, Brooklyn and Lynnwood. When it was first established between the 1950s and 1960s, it was the most eastern suburb of Pretoria, but the city has since considerably expanded eastwards. Today these suburbs are known as the Old East and can boast to have some of the city's most high-end residential properties.

Lynnwood is a suburb of the city of Pretoria, South Africa. It is a well-developed area, lying to the east of the city centre. The African Centre for Gene Technologies (ACGT) (Pretoria) is located on the Experimental Farm of the University of Pretoria campus, and was established by Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the University of Pretoria, the University of the Witwatersrand, the University of Johannesburg and the Agricultural Research Council (ARC). Tuks Cricket Oval or LC de Villiers Oval is a cricket ground in Pretoria, South Africa. It is located in the premises of the Pretoria University. It is an occasional home ground for Northerns cricket team. The university's High Performance Centre which was established in 2002 has become the favored location for the pre-departure camps of Team South Africa in addition to being chosen by several national and international federations as their preferred specialization centre.Oval consist of 6 cricket fields, 3 Football fields, one rugby, two hockey field. Stadium is also shared with athletics. All field has floodlights with capacity of 2,000 persons. The oval hosted two Youth ODIs in 1998 ICC Under-19s World Cup and five women's ODIs in 2005 International Women's Cricket Council World Cup.In 2013, Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan scored unbeaten 248 run on this ground against South Africa A.

Waterkloof (Afrikaans: for "Water Ravine") is a suburb of the city of Pretoria, South Africa, located to the east of the city centre. It is named after the original farm that stood there when Pretoria was founded in the 19th Century. Waterkloof is a highly sought-after area and has some of the city's most expensive real estate, including hilltop homesteads on Edward and Victoria Streets with views of Pretoria. Like many areas of the city, its streets are lined with jacaranda trees. Many streets are named after British royalty; the main thoroughfares are Crown Avenue, which links Waterkloof with the affluent suburb of Brooklyn to its north, and Albert Street, which runs East-West between the neighbouring areas of Menlo Park and Groenkloof. Several ambassadorial residences are located in Waterkloof. It is the home of soprano Mimi Coertse, and the location of the upmarket Dube-house in the film Tsotsi. Pretoria Country Club, which has an eighteen-hole golf course, is also located in the area.

The Tshwane Open was a golf tournament played since 2013 in Gauteng Province, South Africa. It was played at Copperleaf Golf & Country Estate in Centurion, South Africa in 2013 and 2014 and moved to Pretoria Country Club in Waterkloof in 2015. It was a co-sanctioned event by the Sunshine Tour and the European Tour. On 30 October 2018, the European Tour released their 2019 schedule, and it was noted that the Tshwane Open was no longer a co-sanctioned event by the European Tour, with no confirmation of the event's status by the Sunshine Tour.

The Atterbury Theatre is a multi-genre concert venue seating 400 and located on the corner of Lynnwood Road and Daventry Street in eastern Pretoria, South Africa, part of the Lynnwood Bridge Retail shopping center. The theatre opened on May 18, 2011, with the musical Stuur Groete aan Mannetjies Roux. The theatre serves as a ground floor piazza alongside the four separate store buildings. Studio 3 Architects International, the firm that designed the theatre, was the National Winner of the Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy in the Innovation category, for the use of certain products in the design of the theatre ceiling. It was developed by the Atterbury Group.
