Pädagogische Hochschule Bern (PH Bern, English: Bern University of Teacher Education) is the training institution for teachers in the Swiss canton of Bern. It has been operational since September 1, 2005, and was created by merging various teacher training and continuing education institutions. In addition to training and continuing education, the PHBern conducts research and development as well as media education and offers services. With over 3,000 students (as of 2021), the PHBern is one of the largest teacher training colleges in Switzerland.

Holligen Castle is a castle in the municipality of Bern of the Canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

St. Paul's Church (German: Pauluskirche) is a Reformed Church in Bern, Switzerland built by Swiss architect Karl Moser from 1902 to 1905 in an Art Nouveau style. It a cultural property of national significance in Switzerland and one of the best examples of Art Nouveau in the country. The bell tower is 36 m high and contains 5 bells. The facade of the church features a relief sculpture with a representation of the Apostle Paul with a sword. The stained glass windows are by the artist Max Laeuger from Lörrach. The interior features blue and green hues, with rich gold decoration painting.Restorations on the church were carried out in 2009, which included the replacement of the organ. The contract for the construction of the new organ was given to Metzler in Dietikon. The new organ, which features 37 stops and 2294 pipes, was returned to its original 1905 location at the front of the church, having previously been moved during renovation carried out during 1969–70. Restoration was also carried out on the "Angel Window", which was to be returned to the North gallery, as well as the painting of the vault.

The Swiss Alcohol Board (SAB) was a federal authority of the Swiss Confederation. It was integrated into the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) in early 2018.The SAB was responsible for the enforcement of the Swiss Alcohol Act, which governs the production and importation of spirits and ethanol, as well as trade in and advertising of spirits. The aim of this legislation was health protection (Art. 105 of the Swiss Federal Constitution). Fermented beverages, such as wine and beer, are not included in the scope of application of the Alcohol Act.

Swiss Jazz School in Bern is the first autonomous jazz school in Europe, which offers continuously jazz lessons. The school was founded in 1967. The Swiss Jazz School has currently two departments: General School: The general school of the Swiss Jazz School offers a semi-professional training in the field of jazz and styles related to jazz. College department: The college department of the school offers bachelor's degree in a three years lasting education, which is followed by a two years lasting master's degree in the subjects teaching jazz, performance or arrangement-composition.

The Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (Swissmedic) is the Swiss surveillance authority for medicines and medical devices, registered in Bern. It began operations on 1 January 2002 as successor of Interkantonale Kontrollstelle für Heilmittel (IKS), which was itself the successor of Schweizerische Arzneimittelnebenwirkungszentrale (SANZ). Swissmedic is affiliated to the Federal Department of Home Affairs.

Bern Weissenbühl railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Bern and city of Bern. It serves, and derives its name from, the Weissenbühl quarter of that city. It is located on Bern's "Südbahnhofstrasse" (south station street). The station is on the Gürbetal line and is operated by BLS AG.

The "Gymnasium Neufeld" in Bern is a state grammar-school of the canton "Bern". An instruction course leads to the grammar-school general qualification for university entrance. This school is popular for its concerts. The "Gymnasium Kirchenfeld" (another grammar school in Bern) wasn't large enough to receive that much children and young adults. The government had to build up a new school. The project begun 1962 and ended in 1965. The architect were Hans Andres and Felix Wyler. The building was built up in the "Laenggasse Quartier" next to the forest named "Bremgartenwald". It was dedicated in 1966.

The Circuit Bremgarten was a 7.280 km (4.524 mi) motorsport race track in Bern, Switzerland which formerly hosted the Swiss Grand Prix from 1933 to 1954 (Formula One, 1947 to 1954) and the Swiss motorcycle Grand Prix in 1949 and from 1951 until 1954. Bremgarten was built as a motorcycle racing track in 1931 in the Bremgartenwald (Bremgarten forest) in the north of Bern. The circuit itself had no true straight, instead being a collection of high-speed corners. It hosted its first automobile race in 1934, which claimed the life of driver Hugh Hamilton. In 1948 it claimed the life of Italian racer Achille Varzi. From the outset, Bremgarten's tree-lined roads, often poor light conditions and changes in road surface made for what was acknowledged to be a very dangerous circuit, especially in the wet. Bremgarten has not hosted an official motorsport event since 1955, when spectator racing sports, with the exception of hillclimbing and rallying, were banned in Switzerland in reaction to the 1955 Le Mans disaster. Although there was a 1982 Swiss Grand Prix, it took place in Dijon, France. On June 6, 2007 an amendment to lift the ban was passed by the lower house of the Swiss parliament, 97 in favour and 77 opposed. The legislation failed to pass the upper house, and was withdrawn in 2009 after being rejected twice.

The University of Bern (German: Universität Bern, French: Université de Berne, Latin: Universitas Bernensis) is a university in the Swiss capital of Bern and was founded in 1834. It is regulated and financed by the Canton of Bern. It is a comprehensive university offering a broad choice of courses and programs in eight faculties and some 150 institutes. With around 19,000 students, the University of Bern is the third largest university in Switzerland.

Presence Switzerland (German: Präsenz Schweiz; French: Présence Suisse) is an official Swiss organisation and part of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, which aims is to promote Swiss interests. The organisation's name is not to be confused with Switzerland Tourism, the owner of the MySwitzerland website. Presence Switzerland manages an eight-language information website about the country, describing its history, institutions and politics. It also hosts the Swiss pavilions at the World's fairs, as well as the House of Switzerland.

The Bubenbergplatz (Bubenberg Plaza, named after Adrian von Bubenberg) is a plaza in the Old City of Bern, the medieval city center of Bern, Switzerland. It is part of the area outside the third city walls. It is located south-west of Bahnhofplatz and is part of the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage Site that encompasses the Old City.
