Carleton Place

Notre Dame Catholic High School is located in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. It opened in 1995 with approximately 235 students. As of January 2021, there are over 1000 students ranging from grades 7 to 12. The school expanded in 2001 with a two-story addition. The school began an expansion to include its grade 7 and 8 students as well as a new atrium in 2015, which was completed in 2017.

On October 26, 2023, the CityNews branding and simulcast was terminated, CIWW went silent, and 101.1 reverted to its former call letters and Country format, which had been at 92.3 FM. CKBY-FM has radio studios in Smiths Falls (as part of its license agreement), with auxiliary studios at the Rogers Ottawa cluster on Thurston Drive and Conroy Road. The station is owned by Rogers Radio, a division of Rogers Sports & Media. It broadcasts an adult hits format and is branded as Jack 92.3. CJET-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 9,300 watts (17,000 watts maximum), horizontal polarization only. The transmitter is on Ontario Highway 15 near Line Road 7 in Beckwith, Ontario. On October 26, 2023, the station swapped call letters with its sister station, switching from CKBY-FM to CJET-FM, after the sister station abandoned its CityNews Radio format. After stunting a Christmas music format, Jack FM made its return to CJET-FM 92.3 at midnight December 27, 2023. The station previously used the "Jack" format from 2004 to 2020.

Scotch Corners Wetland is a provincially significant wetland complex located in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. The 202 hectares (500 acres) area has a wide array of wetland types including swamps, marshes, vernal pools, beaver ponds and seepage areas. It forms the headwaters of several creeks that drain into Mississippi Lake.

The small village of Ashton is located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Downtown Ottawa, Ontario, at the intersection of Ashton Station Road and Flewellyn Road. Ashton Station Road runs through the centre of the community, and serves as the south-western boundary line for the City of Ottawa, thus making the eastern portion of the hamlet part of Ottawa, and the western portion part of Lanark County. The eastern portion of the community was originally part of Goulbourn Township, which was amalgamated into the City of Ottawa in 2001. It is home to approximately 200 residents. The headwaters of the Jock River, which runs through the heart of the community, are just to the west of the hamlet. There is a general store, a pub, several churches and a community center. Unlike many communities surrounding the burgeoning city of Ottawa, Ashton has remained relatively unchanged for many years. Mississippi Mills is a town in eastern Ontario, Canada, in Lanark County on the Mississippi River. It is made up of the former Townships of Ramsay and Pakenham, as well as the Town of Almonte. It is partly located within Canada's National Capital Region.

Almonte ( AL-mont; Spanish: [alˈmonte]) is a former mill town in Lanark County, in the eastern portion of Ontario, Canada. Formerly a separate municipality, Almonte is a ward of the town of Mississippi Mills, which was created on January 1, 1998, by the merging of Almonte with Ramsay and Pakenham townships. Almonte is 46 kilometres (29 mi) south-west of downtown Ottawa. Its population as recorded in the 2016 Canadian Census was 5,039.
