Nokia Corporation (natively Nokia Oyj in Finnish and Nokia Abp in Swedish, referred to as Nokia) is a Finnish multinational telecommunications, information technology, and consumer electronics corporation, established in 1865. Nokia's main headquarters are in Espoo, Finland, in the greater Helsinki metropolitan area, but the company's actual roots are in the Tampere region of Pirkanmaa. In 2020, Nokia employed approximately 92,000 people across over 100 countries, did business in more than 130 countries, and reported annual revenues of around €23 billion. It was founded as a pulp mill and had long been associated with rubber and cables, but since the 1990s has focused on large-scale telecommunications infrastructure, technology development, and licensing. Nokia made significant contributions to the mobile telephony industry, assisting in the development of the GSM, 3G, and LTE standards. For a decade beginning in 1998, Nokia was the largest worldwide vendor of mobile phones and smartphones. In the later 2000s, however, Nokia suffered from a series of poor management decisions, and soon saw its share of the mobile phone market drop sharply. After a partnership with Microsoft and Nokia's subsequent market struggles, in 2014 Microsoft bought Nokia's mobile phone business, incorporating it as Microsoft Mobile. After the sale, Nokia began to focus more on its telecommunications infrastructure business and on Internet of things technologies, marked by the divestiture of its Here mapping division and the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent, including its Bell Labs research organization. The company then also experimented with virtual reality and digital health, the latter through the purchase of Withings. The Nokia brand returned to the mobile and smartphone market in 2016 through a licensing arrangement with HMD Global. Nokia continues to be a major patent licensor for most large mobile phone vendors. As of 2018, Nokia is the world's third-largest network equipment manufacturer.The company was viewed with national pride by Finns, as its mobile phone business made it by far the largest worldwide company and brand from Finland. At its peak in 2000, Nokia accounted for 4% of the country's GDP, 21% of total exports, and 70% of the Helsinki Stock Exchange market capital.

The Helsinki Finland Temple (Finnish: Helsingin temppeli, Swedish: Templet i Helsingfors) is the 124th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Unlike the church's regular meetinghouses, where weekly worship services are held and visitors are welcome, the temple is open only to church members who hold a current temple recommend. Located at Leppäsillantie 3 in Espoo, the Helsinki Finland Temple has a total of 19,500 square feet (1,810 m2), two ordinance rooms, and four sealing rooms. It once served the church's largest geographical temple district, which included Finland, the Baltic states, and all of Russia. It was the final temple dedicated during the church presidency of Gordon B. Hinckley and the last dedicated by him.

Karakallio (Finnish) or Karabacka (Swedish) is a district of Espoo, a city in Finland. The name "Karabacka" dates back at least as far as 1762, at which time the language of majority of the inhabitants was Swedish, and when the name occurs in connection with the "Karabacka Meadow" and also the "Karabacka Mountain". The origins of the name are nevertheless unclear. The Finnish-language version of the name began to be used for an urban development in the 1950s when development of the area was first discussed and planned.The district is characterized by highrise apartment blocks and a 1960s style shopping centre. The Mormon temple was dedicated in 2006.

Kauniainen (Finnish: [ˈkɑu̯niˌɑi̯nen]; Swedish: Grankulla) is a small town and a municipality of 10,184 inhabitants (30 September 2023) in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area in Uusimaa, Finland. It is surrounded and enclaved by the City of Espoo, in the Capital Region of Greater Helsinki. Kauniainen was founded by a corporation in 1906, AB Grankulla, that parcelled land and created a suburb for villas; Kauniainen received the status of a market town in 1920, the Finnish name in 1949 and the title of kaupunki ("city, town") in 1972. The municipal taxation rate in Kauniainen is the lowest in Finland (%), which has made the city attractive to high-income families. This in turn makes the average income generally high, making it possible to keep the taxation rate low without compromising the service to the inhabitants. Approximately 59% of the population have Finnish as their mother tongue while 31% are Swedish speakers. The dominant party in the city council has traditionally been the Swedish People's Party.

Mankkaa (Finnish) or Mankans (Swedish) is a suburb of Espoo, located between Tapiola and Kauniainen, with a population of 7,704 (2006), of which 704 speak Swedish as a first language (2005). Most of Mankkaa falls under the postal code 02180, with 02630 being the code of the areas situated near the Helsinki-Turku freeway in the north. The area under postal code 02180 has one of the highest wage incomes in whole of Finland. ref. [1] The main thoroughfare in Mankkaa is Mankkaantie, which had been heavily congested with traffic during rush hours until Ring II was completed in 2000. The second major road is Sinimäentie, which is lined with large office buildings and stores. The first Lidl in Espoo was opened in Mankkaa in 2003. Teatteri Hevosenkenkä, a theater catering to a child and preteen audience, is located in Mankkaa. The theater was founded in 1975 by Kristiina Aropaltio and Sara Sirén. However, the building itself dates back to 1899 and was previously used as a school. Teatteri Hevosenkenkä also houses an art gallery with changing exhibitions.

Kauniainen railway station (Finnish: Kauniaisten rautatieasema, Swedish: Grankulla järnvägsstation) is a station on the Helsinki commuter rail network located in the town of Kauniainen, Finland. The station building was designed by architect Bruno Granholm, and it was built in 1908. The station building was heavily damaged in a fire on 2008-08-30.
