Baad Bhanjyang

Dahachok is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,036. It is located in the west of Kathmandu.

Chandragiri is a municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of Nepal that was declared as municipality on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village Development Committees Baad Bhanjyang, Balambu, Dahachok, Mahadevsthan, Machhegaun, Matatirtha, Naikap Naya Bhanjyang, Naikap Purano Bhanjyang, Satungal, Thankot and Tinthana. The urban administration is located in Old-Balambu. The city's main attractions include Chandragiri Hill, Nepal with its Cable Car.

Bhimdhunga is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Nagarjun Municipality in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 2,915 and had 619 houses in it.

Necon Air Flight 128 (3Z 128/NEC 128) was a scheduled domestic flight from Pokhara Airport to Kathmandu Airport in Nepal on 5 September 1999. The Hawker Siddeley HS 748 crashed when it hit a telecommunications tower near Indrathan Hill.

Thankot is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. It lies in the lap of Chandragiri Hill. According to the 2011 Nepal census it has a population of 12,047 and has 2,820 households.Some of the main attractions include Tribhuwan Park, Narayan Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, and Chandragiri Hill.

Ramkot is a village of the Nagarjun Municipality, Bagmati Province, Nepal (formerly part of the village development committee). The 2011 Nepal census recorded that Ramkot had a population of 6,303 people in 1,427 independent households.Ramkot is named after the Hindu deity, Rama. A local legend says that Rama spent a few days in Ramkot during exile and left behind a piece of his clothing, while another describes how Rama constructed a building to store his weapons, named Kot (house of keeping weapons). Sitapaila, an adjacent village, is named after Sita, Rama's wife, who is said to have visited the settlement.

Balambu is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 7,323 and had 1,734 houses in it. Porters play a vital role in Nepal's tourism industry; every year they support thousands of tourists in tackling the iconic trails of the Everest region. Often climbing multiple time during the high season, the trekking industry provides an income that helps porters earn a living and support their families. However, they are also often the least valued on the mountain and because of the pressures to get an income can face exploitation and mistreatment from trekking operators.[1] To address these issues, Kathmandu Environmental Education Program (KEEP) has created the Porter Awareness and Welfare training program. This provides porters with information about their work rights as well as health, hygiene and general First Aid skills. The program also offers guidance on appropriate trekking clothing and gear, and how to access KEEP's Porter Clothing Centre, which loans warm clothing and appropriate footwear to porters.

Bhaleshwor Mahadev (Nepali: भालेश्वर महादेव) is a Hindu temple located in Chandragiri hill in south-west side of Kathmandu Valley. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located at the altitude of 2551 meters above sea level. The temple was built by Chandragiri Hills on the historic and religious site. The temple was designed by the architect Shankar Nath Rimal. The temple is connected to the Kathmandu valley by a cable car.

Ichangu Narayan Temple (Nepali: इचंगु नारायण मन्दिर) is a 5th century Hindu temple located in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was built by King Haridatta of the Lichhavi dynasty. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th century. The temple has two stories and has a pogoda architecture. The courtyard of the temple houses statues of various hindu deities such as Garudas and Mahalaxmi. The idols were stolen from the temple several times, but they were recovered.

Matatirtha is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,799 living in 506 households. Its population has now grown to 5,982 spread over 1,314 households. Santosh Khadka was elected as Ward Chairman of Matatirtha through a local election.

Satungal is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. Satungal is also known as Satyapur ( In Newar Language). At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,730 people living in 464 households. By the time of the 2001 Nepal census the population had grown to 5,834, spread over 1,375 households. At that time 5,173 of the village population were literate - a literacy rate of 88.7%.

Nagarjun is a municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of Nepal. It was formed on 2 December 2014 by merging the former VDCs of Bhimdhunga, Ichangu Narayan, Ramkot, Syuchatar and Sitapaila. The office of the municipality is located at Harisiddhi, Sitapaila. There are ten wards in the municipality.
