Battlefield House (Stoney Creek, Ontario)

The Battle of Stoney Creek was a British victory over an American force fought on 6 June 1813, during the War of 1812 near present-day Stoney Creek, Ontario. British units made a night attack on the American encampment, and due in large part to the capture of the two senior officers of the American force, and an overestimation of British strength by the Americans, the battle resulted in a total victory for the British, and a turning point in the defence of Upper Canada.

The Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (Serbian: Српски Православни Саборни Храм Светог Оца Николаја, romanized: Srpski Pravoslavni Saborni Hram Svetog Oca Nikolaja) is a Serbian Orthodox cathedral located at 149 Nash Road South, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Nearby, on Barton street there is another house of worship also named after St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the oldest Serbian church in Eastern Canada: St. Nikola Serbian Orthodox Church (built in 1917).

Devil's Punch Bowl is a 37-metre ribbon waterfall on the Niagara Escarpment, in the Stoney Creek community of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is found in the Devil's Punchbowl Conservation Area, maintained by the Hamilton Conservation Authority, and features an escarpment access trail with connections to a recently improved section of the Bruce Trail. Stoney Creek's Dofasco 2000 Trail is nearby. The Punch Bowl is also known as Horseshoe Falls for the distinctive shape of the cliff-face, which somewhat resembles its much larger cousin in Niagara Falls. In addition to the 800 km-long Bruce Trail, nearby attractions include the historic Battlefield House Museum and Nash-Jackson House; on Lake Ontario, Fifty Point Conservation Area and Confederation Park; and Mohawk Sports Park and the Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology in the city proper. There's also a convenience store, restaurant, motel, gas station and retail stores nearby.Lower Punch Bowl Falls is a curtain waterfall located a few metres north of the Punch Bowl, spanning 7 metres in height and width.

The CHCH Television Tower is a 357.5 metre 1,173 feet-high guyed TV mast located at 481 First Road West in Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada. The tower houses the primary transmitter for the independent television station CHCH-DT as well as that of CITS-DT, the flagship of the religious Yes TV television system. It is currently the fourth-tallest structure in Canada. When completed in 1960, the CHCH Television Tower became the tallest structure in Canada. Only five structures built since then have surpassed its height: the CN Tower in Toronto (completed in 1976), the Cape Race LORAN-C transmitter (completed in 1963, collapsed in 1993), the Inco Superstack in Sudbury (completed in 1971) and the original and replacement guyed mast(s) of the CKX-TV Tower (completed in 1973, collapsed in 1983, rebuilt in 1985). The CHCH tower ranks thirteenth in height among the tallest structures in the Commonwealth of Nations. The mast is located on the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, so when viewed from the bottom of the escarpment with an elevation some 100+ meters or 300+ feet lower, it appears to be exceptionally tall.

Stoney Creek is a community in the city of Hamilton in the Canadian province of Ontario. It was officially a city from 1984 to 2001, when it was amalgamated with the rest of the cities of the Regional Municipality of Hamilton–Wentworth. The community of Stoney Creek is located on the south shore of western Lake Ontario, east of downtown Hamilton, into which feed the watercourses of Stoney Creek as well as several other minor streams. The historic area, known as the "Old Town", is below the Niagara Escarpment. Stoney Creek experienced an increase in residential growth, particularly in the lower city in the 1970s and 1980s, and in the west mountain in the 1990s and 2000s, but most of the land mass of Stoney Creek remains agricultural. The communities of Elfrida, Fruitland, Tapleytown, Tweedside, Vinemount, and Winona serve as distinct reminders of the agricultural legacy of Stoney Creek and Saltfleet Township.

St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic secondary school located in the community of Stoney Creek in Hamilton. It is part of the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and is known for its sports teams as well as its various stage performances.

Confederation GO Station is a GO bus stop and planned train station to be built by Metrolinx in East Hamilton, Ontario on the Canadian National Railway line. The station is named for Confederation Beach Park, nearby on Lake Ontario. The station is planned as part of the anticipated expansion of GO Transit's Lakeshore West line service to Niagara Falls. On May 26, 2015, the Government of Ontario announced that service would be extended to the station. Construction on the site began in 2017, with the opening of the rail station to be determined after several delays.

Mount Albion was a village located in the County of Wentworth. It was situated near Albion Falls at the north end of the Red Hill Creek Valley, in what is now east Hamilton, Ontario. Mount Albion was an important community in its area throughout the 19th century, as it featured a grist mill, blacksmith shops, taverns, a church and a general store.

Red Hill Valley is a valley in eastern and south-eastern Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The valley is named after and home to the Red Hill Creek, which flows 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north-east from Albion Falls on the Niagara Escarpment, before bending north-west near the Queen Elizabeth Way and discharging into Hamilton Harbour at Windermere Basin. The name of the area comes from the reddish soil, rich with iron. The valley is estimated to be 1,600 acres (650 ha) in size. The Red Hill Valley was the site of a protracted battle over an expressway through the valley, ultimately constructed in 2007.

Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School is a Canadian secondary school located in Hamilton, Ontario. It is a member of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Hamilton East—Stoney Creek is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since the 2007 provincial election. The riding was formed in 2003 from parts of the former ridings of Hamilton East and Stoney Creek. Of the 115,709 constituents of the riding, a slight majority were previously constituents in the former riding of Stoney Creek. 58,462 constituents were part of the Stoney Creek riding while 57,247 constituents originated from Hamilton East.
