Charlotte Y. Martin Centre is an athletics center in the northwest United States, on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Its multi-purpose arena has a seating capacity of 4,000.Ground was broken in June 1964 on the $1.1 million center, which opened in late 1965 as the John F. Kennedy Memorial Pavilion, with a capacity of 3,800 for basketball. The center included a 6-lane 25-yard (23 m) swimming pool. The dedication ceremony on November 21 was attended by 6,000 and included the late president's brother, U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts. The first varsity event on December 3 was a basketball game against Washington State, won by the visiting Cougars 106–78 before an overflow crowd of 4,300.Charlotte Martin, the daughter-in-law of former governor Clarence D. Martin, donated $4.5 million in 1987 for the renovation of the complex and it was renamed for her as part of Gonzaga's centennial celebrations on March 17. Mrs. Martin died less than eight months later, at age 68.The Martin Centre is the home court of the women's volleyball team, and was home of men's and women's basketball teams until the fall of 2004, when the adjacent $25 million McCarthey Athletic Center (MAC) opened. An exception was the partial hiatus in the 1979–80 season when the men's team returned to its former home of the Spokane Coliseum for WCAC home games only, The Pavilion was affectionately known as The Kennel, a reference to the enthusiastic capacity crowds for Bulldog basketball, a nickname which transferred to the MAC. Prior to the Spokane Coliseum's opening in 1955, Gonzaga basketball games were played on campus at "The Cave," a gymnasium in the administration building.In late 1968, the English rock group Led Zeppelin played their fifth-ever American concert at the Kennedy Pavilion on December 30, opening for Vanilla Fudge and erroneously billed as "Len Zefflin"; the first known bootleg recording of the band originated from this performance. The bands were welcomed to Spokane with frigid sub-zero temperatures.

Washington Trust Field and Patterson Baseball Complex is a college baseball stadium on the campus of Gonzaga University on Spokane, Washington. Opened sixteen years ago in 2007, it is the home venue of the Gonzaga Bulldogs of the West Coast Conference. Designed by architect ALSC Architects, Washington Trust Field and Patterson Baseball Complex has 1,300 fixed seats in the main seating bowl and a total capacity of 2,300. The complex includes field lighting, home and visitors locker rooms, baseball offices, laundry, training and equipment facilities, batting cages, a natural grass field, modern restrooms and concession stands for the convenience of the fans, and an electronic information board and a stone marker welcoming visitors. The elevation of the playing field is just under 1,900 feet (580 m) above sea level; the site was formerly an annex of the U.S. Postal Service.Patterson Baseball Complex is named after the family of Michael Patterson (class of 1969), chairman of Gonzaga's Board of Trustees and a major contributor to the project. Washington Trust Field is named after Washington Trust Bank in which, Pete Stanton, the chairman and CEO of Washington Trust Bank, and Jack Heath, president of Washington Trust Bank, were the major forces behind the field naming. The Bulldogs played on campus from 1968 through 2003 at August/ART Stadium (Pecarovich Field until 1996), which was displaced by the construction of McCarthey Athletic Center, home of the Gonzaga basketball teams. After ground was broken for McCarthey in April 2003, the baseball team finished the season at Spokane Falls Community College, then played three seasons in Spokane's minor league venue, Avista Stadium. A few hundred yards south of the old field, ground was broken for the facility in June 2006, and it opened nine months later on March 15, 2007, a 9–4 victory over Rider University. The first night game was played April 17, a 4–7 defeat to Washington State. The dedication game was played April 20, a 6–3 conference victory over Saint Mary's.

The Gonzaga University School of Law (also known as Gonzaga Law or GU Law) is the professional school for the study of law at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Established in 1912, the Jesuit-affiliated law school has been fully accredited by the American Bar Association since 1951, and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Alumni of Gonzaga University School of Law practice in all 50 U.S. states, as well as various associated states and foreign countries. Situated on the southern edge of Gonzaga University's campus, the Gonzaga University School of Law building includes the Chastek Law Library, University Legal Assistance, and the Barbieri Courtroom. The school awards the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and an Accelerated Two-Year J.D. and has a student body of approximately 350 students. It also offers dual degrees—including the Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration (J.D./MBA), the Juris Doctor and Master of Accountancy (J.D./M.Acc.), the Juris Doctor and Master of Science in Taxation (J.D./M.S.Tax) and the Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work (J.D./M.S.W.) The school's location in Spokane, the largest city in the Inland Northwest, allows students to take advantage of internships with private firms, government and not-for-profit agencies, and opportunities with both federal and state courts. Spokane is home to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington within the appellate jurisdiction of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Gonzaga Stadium was an outdoor sports stadium in the northwest United States, located on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. The home of Gonzaga Bulldogs football, it was built in five months and opened in 1922; the first game was against Washington State on October 14, won by the Cougars with a late field goal, 10–7. After the opening loss, Gonzaga was undefeated in the next ten games at the stadium, with eight wins and two ties.The football field had a conventional north-south alignment at an elevation of approximately 1,900 feet (580 m) above sea level. Lights were installed in 1931, between the field and the running track.Like many colleges, football was stopped at Gonzaga during World War II and the last season was in 1941. The program had been in financial difficulty, and was not resumed after the war; the stadium seating was demolished in 1949.Gonzaga Stadium was used for city high school football until it was deemed unsafe by the city after the 1947 season. The wooden venue hosted a professional preseason game in 1946 under the lights, between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers of the new All-America Football Conference. High school football moved to Ferris Field in 1948 for two years, then to the new Memorial Stadium in 1950, later named for Gonzaga alumnus Joe Albi in 1962. The stadium made its debut as a football venue in 1913, when Gonzaga hosted Inland Empire rival Idaho on October 11. At its opening, it had seating for 2,000 and room for fifty automobiles to line up.

Gonzaga University (GU) () is a private Jesuit university in Spokane, Washington. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Founded in 1887 by Joseph Cataldo, an Italian-born priest and Jesuit missionary, the university is named after the young Jesuit saint Aloysius Gonzaga. The campus houses 105 buildings on 152 acres (62 ha) of grassland alongside the Spokane River, in a residential setting a half-mile (800 m) from downtown Spokane. The university grants bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees through its college and six schools: the College of Arts & Sciences, School of Business Administration, School of Education, School of Engineering & Applied Science, School of Law, School of Nursing & Human Physiology, and the School of Leadership Studies.

Jack and Dan's is a bar and grill in Spokane, Washington. It is located at 1226 N. Hamilton St. in the Logan Neighborhood a block from the Gonzaga University campus. Jack and Dan's is named in part for Jack Stockton, longtime Logan resident and father of Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball legend John Stockton. The proximity to the Gonzaga campus along with its ties to the Gonzaga basketball program have made Jack and Dan's a Gonzaga and Spokane landmark. It is commonly mentioned on Gonzaga basketball telecasts and in other media discussions of Gonzaga basketball. The building housing the tavern was listed on the Spokane Register of Historic Places in 2006.Jack and Dan's was named one of the 25 best sports bars in the United States by Sports Illustrated in 2005, coming in at number six.

Schade Brewery, commonly known as Schade Towers, is a historic building in the University District section of the East Central neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. It was built in 1902, with additional construction taking place in 1903, 1907 and between 1934 and 1937. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1994. Built to house a brewery, the building has seen numerous uses over its century-plus in existence ranging from serving as housing for vagrants while abandoned, to its present use as commercial and office space.Schade Brewery is a 5-story building located at the intersection of Spokane Falls Boulevard and Front Street, and adjacent to the Spokane River, just east of Downtown Spokane. Schade Tower is considered significant for its architecture and contributions to commerce and industry. While it no longer retains its original industrial use, it is a significant visual reminder of the area's former industrial setting though it is now surrounded by new developments spurred by the higher education setting of the modern University District in which it is located.

No-Li Brewhouse is a brewery and restaurant in Spokane, Washington, United States, co-founded by brewmaster Mark Irvin and beer industry executive John Bryant, expanding on Irvin's Northern Lights Brewery. The brewery is known for its emphasis on local sourcing and local production; in 2013 it was designated a "Spokane Style Beer" producer. Formerly known as Northern Lights Brewing, the company markets such beers as Born & Raised IPA and Big Juicy IPA. No-Li Brewhouse beverages are licensed for distribution in Washington and Idaho. The brewery has won various international awards for its beers. No-Li Brewhouse is the oldest active brewery in Spokane. It is also Spokane's largest brewpub, located at the edge of the Spokane River near Gonzaga University. The company logo celebrates the Skyride over Spokane Falls.

The Spokane Public Library - Heath Branch is a historic building in the Logan neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. It was designed by architect Julius Zittel, and built in 1914 with $35,000 from Andrew Carnegie. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 3, 1982.

The WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus, (formerly the Riverpoint Campus, and originally, the Riverpoint Higher Education Park) is an urban 48-acre (19 ha), multi-institutional higher education campus in Spokane, Washington. The campus was established in 1990 by the Joint Center for Higher Education (JCHE) and has been owned and operated by Washington State University since 1998. It is located within Spokane's University District just east of Downtown Spokane, along the southern bank of the Spokane River across from Gonzaga University. Through intensive growth over the last 20 years, Washington State University Spokane has become the primary occupant of the now-eponymously named campus. However, the campus, which was originally developed as the Riverpoint Higher Education Park in the early 1990s by the state-created Joint Center for Higher Education (JCHE), has been shared between a number of institutions over the years, primarily, Washington State University Spokane and Eastern Washington University Spokane.
