CFPV-FM was a Canadian radio station. Owned by McBride Communications, the station broadcasts at 98.9 FM in Pemberton, British Columbia.

The Pemberton Festival was a three-day summer music festival inaugurated in 2008. It was held in Pemberton, British Columbia, a village just north of popular ski resort Whistler. Produced by Live Nation Canada, the festival featured primarily rock and indie rock musicians, with a small proportion of hip hop. Musicians played on one of two stages, picturesquely situated at the foot of Mount Currie and the surrounding mountain range. The site, a 400-acre (1.6 km2) hayfield, was discovered by concert-promoter, Shane Bourbonnais, of Live Nation, just down the street from his home. He emphasized event sustainability and environmentalism as priorities in running the festival.On January 8, 2009, Live Nation officially announced the cancellation of the 2009 event and instead, was going to focus on the planning of the 2010 comeback.On January 19, 2010, Live Nation announced the cancellation of the 2010 event.

Nairn Falls Provincial Park (Ucwalmícwts (Lillooet): Skweskwistqw7am, IPA: [ʃkʷəʃkʷeʃtqʷʔɛm]) is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada located on the Green River adjacent to British Columbia Highway 99 and the Canadian National Railway line just south of Pemberton and less than twenty minutes north of the resort town of Whistler. The 170 hectare park was established in 1966, shortly after the highway's opening, to protect and enhance visitor access to Nairn Falls.

Rutherford Creek is a tributary of the Green River, British Columbia, Canada, entering that river a few miles above Nairn Falls Provincial Park, near the village of Pemberton. The creek's headwaters are on the eastern side of the Pemberton Icefield, from where it flows southeast for the first half of its course, then generally east for the remainder. It is approximately 24 km (15 mi) in length. The mouth is at 50° 16' 3" N, 122° 57' 41" W.

The Soo River is a tributary of the Green River in the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in British Columbia, Canada, joining that river just north of the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Approximately 35 kilometres (22 mi) long, it begins on the south flank of the Pemberton Icefield. Its course is generally eastward from there to the Green River valley, although upon reaching that valley it runs north for about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) roughly parallel to the Green before joining it. For much of its course, known as the Soo Valley, it forms a serpentine marshland until reaching a short canyon before entering the valley of the Green River. Heavily logged over the years, the valley is accessible by rough dirt road. It is a popular cross-country skiing area in winter, partly because its middle reaches are accessible via trails from the Emerald Estates neighbourhood of Whistler. The uppermost part of the Soo Valley features various volcanic formations. The name "Soo Valley" was used for the skier–hippie group squat at an old lumbering camp-cum-ghost town on Green Lake, famous for a 1970s-vintage group nude photo of its inhabitants, many members of Whistler's established business community today.

Pemberton Regional Airport (ICAO: CYPS) is a registered aerodrome located 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) south southeast of Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada. Canadians and a few US pilots practiced landing here, to train for Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Pemberton Distillery is a craft distillery located in Pemberton, British Columbia. The Pemberton Valley, which has sometimes been referred to as "Spud Valley", is known in the potato industry for its seed potatoes. Pemberton Distillery uses potatoes to make some of its distilled beverages. Its product brand names include Schramm Vodka, Schramm Gin, Pemberton Distillery Single Malt Whisky and Pemberton Distillery Bourbon Barrel Aged Apple Brandy.

Mount Currie is a settlement in the Squamish-Lillooet region of southwestern British Columbia. On BC Highway 99, the locality is by road about 160 kilometres (99 mi) north of Vancouver, 39 kilometres (24 mi) northeast of Whistler, and 92 kilometres (57 mi) southwest of Lillooet. The Lillooet Tribal Council governs the First Nations portion. The relatively smaller freehold part is an unincorporated community. The latter business centre approximately encompasses an area where the Macrea Road/Highway 99 intersection forms the southwest corner and the Pemberton Portage Road/Highway 99 intersection forms the northeast corner. The First Nations reserves straddle the Birkenhead River. The eastern portion of the reserves extends north to the same latitude as the Owl Creek community but is well back from the river at that point.

The Green River is a tributary of the Lillooet River in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Approximately 25 kilometres in length, it begins at the outflow of Green Lake at the north of Whistler, and flows northeast to join the Lillooet River about two kilometres above where the river flows into Lillooet Lake. Its main tributaries are the Soo River and the river-like Rutherford Creek, which is the location of one of only two artificial whitewater kayaking courses in Canada. Just below Rutherford Creek is Nairn Falls.

Wedgemount Lake is a turquoise-coloured alpine lake located in Garibaldi Provincial Park of British Columbia, Canada. It is situated below Wedge Mountain, Parkhurst Mountain, Rethel Mountain, and Mount Weart. Meltwater from Wedgemount Glacier and Armchair Glacier feeds the lake, whereas Wedgemount Creek is the outflow from the lake.

Rethel Mountain is a 2,408-metre (7,900-foot) mountain summit located in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains, in northwestern Garibaldi Provincial Park of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is situated 11 km (7 mi) northeast of Whistler, on the south side of Wedgemount Lake and west side of Wedgemount Glacier. Its nearest higher peak is Parkhurst Mountain, 1.3 km (1 mi) to the southeast. Rethel is set 3.2 km (2 mi) northwest of Wedge Mountain, the highest peak in Garibaldi Park, and 2.9 km (2 mi) southwest of Mount Weart, the second-highest in the park. Precipitation runoff from the peak drains into Wedgemount Creek and Rethel Creek, both tributaries of the Green River, which in turn is a tributary of the Lillooet River. It was named in association from Rethel station (since closed) on the Pacific Great Eastern Railway route. The mountain's name was officially adopted on February 27, 1978, by the Geographical Names Board of Canada.

Parkhurst Mountain is a 2,494-metre (8,182-foot) mountain summit located in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains, in northwestern Garibaldi Provincial Park of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is situated 11 km (7 mi) east-northeast of Whistler, south of Wedgemount Lake, and on the west side of Wedgemount Glacier. Parkhurst's nearest neighbor is Rethel Mountain, 0.89 km (1 mi) to the northwest, and its nearest higher peak (and also the highest peak in Garibaldi Park) is Wedge Mountain, 1.8 km (1 mi) to the southeast. Mount Weart, the second-highest peak in the park, rises 2.6 km (2 mi) northeast of Parkhurst. Precipitation runoff from the peak drains into Wedge Creek, Wedgemount Creek, and Rethel Creek, which are all tributaries of the Green River, which in turn is a tributary of the Lillooet River. The present day ghost town of Parkhurst was an old logging town in the 1920s and 1930s set on the edge of Green Lake, 9 km (6 mi) west of Parkhurst Mountain. The site was named for Mr. and Mrs. Parkhurst who preempted the land on Green Lake in 1902 and built a small house where they lived with their family. The mountain's name was officially adopted on June 25, 1975, by the Geographical Names Board of Canada.
