The St. James Park Historic District is a historic district in the West Adams section of Los Angeles, California. The district is a residential neighborhood surrounding St. James Park consisting of homes built in a mix of Classical Revival, Craftsman and Queen Anne styles. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

ONE National Gay and Lesbian Archives at the University of Southern California Libraries is the oldest existing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) organization in the United States and one of the largest repositories of LGBT materials in the world. Located in Los Angeles, California, ONE Archives has been a part of the University of Southern California Libraries since 2010. ONE Archives' collections contain over two million items including periodicals; books; film, video and audio recordings; photographs; artworks; ephemera, such as clothing, costumes, and buttons; organizational records; and personal papers. ONE Archives also operates a small gallery and museum space devoted to LGBT art and history in West Hollywood, California. Use of the collections is free during regular business hours. ONE Archives originated from ONE, Inc., which began publishing the earliest national homosexual publication in 1952. In 1956, ONE Inc. created the ONE Institute, an academic institute for the study of homosexuality, utilizing the term "Homophile Studies". In 1994, ONE, Inc. and the International Gay and Lesbian Archives run by Jim Kepner merged. Since 1994 the organization has operated solely as an LGBT archive.

The John B. Kane Residence is a two-story Queen Anne-Eastlake Victorian house located in West Adams, Los Angeles on Bonsallo Avenue. Built 1892–1893, the house was designated Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #500 in June 1990.

Chester Place was one of the first gated communities in Los Angeles, California. It was notable for its close proximity to the University of Southern California, as well as prestigious residents such as Edward L. Doheny. The community later became a satellite campus of Mount St. Mary's College in 1962 after the land was left as a gift from Estelle Doheny.

John Tracy Center (John Tracy Clinic dba John Tracy Center) is a private, nonprofit education center for infants and preschool children with hearing loss in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by Louise Treadwell Tracy, wife of actor Spencer Tracy, in 1942. The center provides parent-centered services worldwide. The organization has provided education and support for children with hearing loss and their families for over 70 years expertise in the spoken language option, called oralism. It is located at 2160 West Adams Boulevard. The center offers worldwide family services, local family services, professional education, preschool, hearing testing, and more.

Casa de Rosas, also known as the Froebel Institute and the Sunshine Mission, is a historic building in the West Adams district of Los Angeles. It is the oldest women's shelter in Los Angeles.

The Twentieth Street Historic District in Los Angeles, California, consists of a row of bungalow and Craftsman style houses in the 900 block on the south side of 20th Street, within the West Adams neighborhood. The homes were built by W.Wayman Watts and built in the early part of the 20th century. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It includes: the James Marsh House (1904), 916 West 20th Street, a two-story Craftsman house, probably built by W.W. Watts the Arthur C. Thorpe House (1905), 920 West 20th Street, a two-story Chalet Style Craftsman house, built by W.W. Watts

St. Vincent de Paul Church is a Roman Catholic parish and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 90) in the South Los Angeles section of Los Angeles, California. The church was built in the 1920s and designed by architect Albert C. Martin, Sr. Paid for by local oilman Edward L. Doheny and thus is known colloquially as "the Church of Holy Oils." It was dedicated in 1925, it was located in what was then one of the wealthiest sections of the city, on land adjacent to the Stephen Dorsey mansion and Stimson House. It was the second Roman Catholic church in Los Angeles to be consecrated. Composer Amédée Tremblay notably served as the church's organist from 1925–1949.The climactic scene of the 1999 film End of Days, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger's battle against Satan was filmed in the church. The church's altar is featured prominently in the film's final scenes. The church also appears in the movie Constantine. The church was also featured in the Warrant video "The Bitter Pill" (acoustic version), with lead singer Jani Lane performing the song in front of and around the church. The church was also featured in the Charmed episode "When Bad Warlocks Turn Good"; furthermore the church is visible in the Madonna's music video of "God Control", and some parts of it in her video of "Dark Ballet".

Stimson House is a Richardsonian Romanesque mansion in the University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Built in 1891, it was the home of lumber and banking millionaire Thomas Douglas Stimson. During Stimson's lifetime, the house survived a dynamite attack by a blackmailer in 1896. After Stimson's death, the house has been occupied by a brewer who reportedly stored wines and other spirits in the basement, a fraternity house that conducted noisy parties (causing consternation among occupants of neighboring mansions), as student housing for Mount St. Mary's College, and as a convent for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

The North University Park Historic District is a historic district in the North University Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The district is bounded by West Adams Boulevard on the north, Magnolia Avenue on the west, Hoover Street on the east, and 28th Street on the south. The district contains numerous well-preserved Victorian houses dating back as far as 1880. In 2004, the district was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Forthmann House, now known as USC Community House, is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 103) located in the North University Park Historic District of West Adams, Los Angeles, California. It is a 4,200-square-foot (390 m2) Victorian house built c.1887, designed by Burgess J. Reeve. It was relocated in 1989 from its original location. A secondary structure known as the Forthmann Carriage House was moved from its original location to its new home in Angelino Heights at 812 E Edgeware Rd.

The Forthmann Carriage House, is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (No. 103) located in Angelino Heights, Los Angeles, California. It is a 1,000 sq. ft. Victorian style carriage house built c.1882, designed by Burgess J. Reeve. It was relocated in March 2006 from its original location at 629 West 18th Street. Los Angeles, California to its current location at 812 E Edgeware Rd. Los Angeles, California. The relocation was made possible thanks to the efforts of Barbara Behm, an independent developer who restored many properties in Angeleno Heights. Sometime in the 1880s, Burgess J. Reeve designed a 4,200 square foot, eleven-room Victorian mansion for John A. Forthmann. Forthmann, a German immigrant, had made his money from founding and running the Los Angeles Soap Co. The business, most famous for its White King brand (“It takes so little”), at one point covered about sixteen acres of downtown. Forthmann died in 1922.The Forthmann Carriage House is currently owned and in the process of restoration by Ithyle Griffiths and Angela Kohler.
