The Jamaica International Exhibition was held in Kingston, Jamaica, from 27 January 1891 to 2 May 1891. It was modelled on the London Great Exhibition of 1851 and was the idea of Augustus Constantine Sinclair who ran the Government Printing Office in Jamaica.

The largest open space in Kingston at 50 acres in size, National Heroes Park features numerous monuments; it is the burial site of many of Jamaica's National Heroes, Prime Ministers and cultural leaders. The neighborhood around the park is also known as National Heroes Park.

St Hugh's High School (also known as St Hugh's High School for Girls) is an Anglican all-girls high school in Saint Andrew, Jamaica. The school was established in 1899.

The Carib Theatre, also known as the Carib 5, is a cinema in northern Kingston, Jamaica. Opened in 1938, it has been owned and operated by the Palace Amusement Company since ca. 1939. The Carib was the largest and highest-grossing theatre in the West Indies, and was once Jamaica's largest building. It served as a one-screen facility until a 1996 fire and 1997 renovation/conversion into a five-screen multiplex.

South Camp Prison, also known as the Gun Court prison, opened in 1974 as a combined court and prison to combat the increase in violent crimes involving firearms. A single resident magistrate can issue prison sentences to those convicted of illegal possession of firearms or ammunition. It has accommodated over 330 inmates on occasions.It is operated by the Department of Correctional Services for the Ministry of National Security.

Emmett Park is a multi-use stadium in Kingston, Jamaica adjacent to Sabina Park. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It served as a home ground of Waterhouse F.C. The stadium holds 4,000 people.

Fletchers Land, sometimes written as Fletcher's Land, is a neighborhood in downtown Kingston, Jamaica. The area, served by the Central Kingston Police Division, has a reputation for being dangerous. The no longer active Land Raiders Gang emerged in Fletchers Land.

St. George's College is a public Catholic secondary school, located in Kingston, Jamaica. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1850. It was established by 21 Spanish Jesuits who had been exiled from Colombia as part of a religious persecution. Initially founded as a school for boys only, in 2005 the College opened its pre-university programme (Sixth Form) to female students. The school is one of the oldest and most respected learning institutions in the country, having produced at least six Rhodes Scholars.

Sabina Park is a cricket ground and the home of the Kingston Cricket Club, and is the only Test cricket ground in Kingston, Jamaica.
