Sacony Creek (historically Saucony Creek) is a 17.4-mile-long (28.0 km) tributary of Maiden Creek in Berks County, Pennsylvania in the United States. It flows through the borough of Kutztown, and is the main water source there. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission stock trout into the creek annually. Sacony is a name derived from a Lenni Lenape Native American language purported to mean "place of outlet" or "where two rivers run together".The Kutz Mill and Kutz's Mill Bridge are located on Sacony Creek in Greenwich Township.Sacony Creek joins Maiden Creek at the community of Virginville.The shoe manufacturer Saucony is named after Sacony Creek, as the company was founded on the banks of the Sacony in 1898, in Kutztown.

The mill was built about 1860, and is a 2 1/2-story, with basement, banked brick building on a stone foundation. It measures 45 feet, 4 inches, by 50 feet. The merchant mill was built as part of an iron furnace complex.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

It was discovered by William Merkel and John Gehret on November 12, 1871, and quickly became a popular tourist attraction.Shortly after its discovery, newspapers reported that it was "more beautiful than the famous Mammoth cave in Kentucky." The first "show cave" to open in Pennsylvania, it remains one of the oldest continuously operating show caves in the United States.

It was the second of four major titles for Berning, a newlywed of less than two months. She led wire-to-wire and bogeyed the final three holes. Defending champion Catherine Lacoste, still an amateur, finished thirteen strokes back, tied for thirteenth place.

It is located at the roundabout junction of Pennsylvania Route 662 (Moselem Springs Road) and U.S. Highway 222 in Richmond Township. Buildings in the area include the Richmond Township Municipal Building, Lehigh Valley Health Network's Health Center at Moselem Springs in a historic inn constructed circa 1852, and the former Richmond Elementary School. The place name comes from the Unami-Len'api term Masch'il'am'ek, which means "trout." In Minsi-Len'api "trout" is Mesch'ila'meek.
