The Corbin, Kentucky Micropolitan Area (formerly London, Kentucky) Micropolitan Area (μSA) is made up of four counties in the Eastern Coalfield region of Kentucky. Before 2013, the area was officially known as the Corbin–London, KY Combined Statistical Area, and consisted of the Corbin Micropolitan Statistical Area and the London Micropolitan Statistical Area. The Corbin micropolitan area consisted of Whitley County, and the London micropolitan area consisted of Laurel County. In 2013, the United States Census Bureau folded the CSA into the redefined London micropolitan area, and Knox County was added to the statistical area. This incidentally ended a statistical anomaly that excluded the 20% of the population of Corbin living in Knox County from the statistical area. As of 2019, the London micropolitan area had a population of 128,215. The total population of the London, KY μSA changed from 126,565 in 2010 to 128,215 in 2018, a change of 1,650 (1.3%). Among all metros nationwide, London, KY μSA ranked 386th in 2018, based on total population. It ranked 319th based population change from 2010 to 2018 and ranked 456th based population percent change from 2010 to 2018. With the release of the 2023 Statistical Area definitions, the London micropolitan area was renamed Corbin micropolitan area and Clay County was added to the μSA.

The Carnegie Library in Corbin, Kentucky, United States, is a building from 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is a five-bay two-story building with a stepped brick parapet. It has also served as the WYGO radio station.

The Harland Sanders Café is a historic restaurant located in North Corbin, Kentucky. Colonel Harland Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, operated the restaurant from 1940 to 1956. Sanders also developed the famous KFC secret recipe at the café during the 1940s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 7, 1990.

The East Main Street Bridge in Corbin, Kentucky, spanning Lynn Camp Creek between Knox County, Kentucky and Whitley County, Kentucky, was built in 1890. Also known as the Engineers Street Bridge, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. It is a Pratt truss through truss bridge built by the Louisville Bridge Co. It brings Engineers St. (formerly E. Main St.) across Lynn Camp Creek in Corbin. It was an old bridge of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad which was offered to the city in 1902. They donated the railroad bridge which was moved into place in 1905 as a road bridge, which was later converted to a pedestrian bridge.

Corbin High School (CHS) is a senior high school in Corbin, Kentucky, United States. A part of the Corbin Independent School District, it serves grades 9–12. In 2016, it had about 950 students.

North Corbin is a census-designated place (CDP) in Laurel and Knox counties in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The population was 1,727 at the 2020 census down from 1,773 at the 2010 census. The census bureau also lists the Laurel County portion of North Corbin as a CCD with a population of 10,729. The city of Corbin is located south of North Corbin. The Harland Sanders Café and Museum, the restaurant where Colonel Sanders developed the fried chicken recipe that would later become famous as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is located in the Laurel County portion of North Corbin.

The First Christian Church in Corbin, Kentucky is a historic Christian Church at S. Kentucky and W. First Street. It was built in 1925 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Its building is a two-story (20 foot) brick Classical Revival-style building with brick laid in Flemish bond, with brick pilasters and a two-story pedimented portico.
