Tenna, Switzerland

The Schlüechtli is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, situated south of Versam in the canton of Graubünden. It lies between the valleys of Turischtobel and Safien, approximately 5 kilometres south of the anterior Rhine.

Versam is a former municipality in the district of Surselva in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. The municipalities of Valendas, Versam, Safien and Tenna merged on 1 January 2013 into the new municipality of Safiental.

Piz Riein is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, situated south-east of Ilanz in the canton of Graubünden. It lies on the range between the Val Lumnezia and Safiental, named Cadeina dil Signina.

The Crest dil Cut (also known as Cresta dil Cot) is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, situated west of Rothenbrunnen in the canton of Graubünden. It lies near the northern end of the range separating the Safiental from the Domleschg valley.

The Rabiusa (Romansh: Rabiosa, i.e. "Raging", in the local German dialect Rii, i.e. "Rhine") is a 32 km long tributary of the Rhine. The river originates in the district Hinterrhein in the canton of Graubünden, in the mountains surrounding the Bärenhorn (2929 m), where the old bridle path from Safien to Splügen crosses the Safierberg Pass (2486 m). It then flows through the wooded Safien valley and into the rough Versam Gorge, where it is spanned by the Versam Gorge Bridge. The confluence with the Anterior Rhine is located in the equally deep Ruinaulta. The Carnusbach flows into the Rabiusa in a hamlet above the village of Safien-Platz. The Walser village of Safien is the only municipality on the river.

Ruinaulta is a canyon created by the Anterior Rhine by Ilanz/Glion and Reichenau in the debris of the Flims Rockslide just upstream of its confluence with the Posterior Rhine at Reichenau in the Grisons, eastern Switzerland. It is sometimes known as the Rhine Gorge, or sometimes rather ironically called the Swiss Grand Canyon. Protected by cliffs several hundred metres high, the area is forested and a haven for wildlife. It is a popular location for rafting.The gorge is largely inaccessible by road, but is traversed by the Disentis to Chur line of the Rhaetian Railway. It is accessible from the Valendas-Sagogn, Versam-Safien and Trin stations that lie within the gorge.

Versam-Safien railway station is a station on the Reichenau-Tamins–Disentis/Mustér railway of the Rhaetian Railway in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is situated alongside the Anterior Rhine, in the railway's scenic passage through the Ruinaulta or Rhine Gorge. The station is located on the south bank of the river in the municipality of Safiental, and serves the village of Versam that lies some 3.6 km (2.2 mi) to the south and some 250 metres (820 ft) higher than the station.

Il Spir is a viewing platform at Conn, a location near Flims in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. The platform overlooking the Ruinaulta gorge of the Vorderrhein river was designed by Corinna Menn and opened in 2006. It allows a good view of the gorge and the river lying some 400 meters below. While it took 40,000,000 years to develop the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the young Rhine dug this gorge within 10,000 years. This is the age of Flims Rockslide, which covered the original Rhine valley with its debris. The river is still running through debris, meaning it has not reached the former valley yet. Flims Rockslide is the biggest rockslide whose effects are still visible in the world. The platform has the shape of a common swift, a common sight at the southern faces of the gorge, and consists of one single pylon, anchored by wire rope. There is no access to near the platform for individual traffic nor public transport and the only means of transport is a privately rented carriage. Walking from Flims-Waldhaus, one can reach the platform in less than an hour, which is a slightly shorter distance as to Trin-Mulin, both villages being on the main road and offering an hourly service by the Swiss postbus system. The multi-day trekking route "Senda Sursilvana" passes Conn as well.

Trin is a municipality in the Imboden Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Crestasee is located in Trin.

Valendas-Sagogn railway station is a station on the Reichenau-Tamins–Disentis/Mustér railway of the Rhaetian Railway in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is situated alongside the Anterior Rhine, and marks the upstream end of the railway's scenic passage through the Ruinaulta or Rhine Gorge. The station is located on the south bank of the river in the municipality of Safiental, and serves the villages of Valendas and Sagogn, which lie at higher elevations on either side of the gorge.

Trin railway station is a station on the Reichenau-Tamins–Disentis/Mustér of the Rhaetian Railway in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It is situated alongside the Anterior Rhine, in the railway's scenic passage through the Ruinaulta or Rhine Gorge. The station is located on the north bank of the river in the municipality of Trin, although the village of Trin lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the north and some 250 metres (820 ft) higher than the station.

Safiental (Romansh: Val Stussavgia) is a municipality in the Surselva Region in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. The municipalities of Valendas, Versam, Safien and Tenna merged on 1 January 2013 into the new municipality of Safiental.
