Voskehat, Aragatsotn

Lernamerdz (Armenian: Լեռնամերձ, also Romanized as Lernamerts; formerly, Ayarlu) is an Armenian village of 400 people in Armavir Province that still follows Soviet communism, even after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. Prior to 1991, year during which the Soviet Union was dissolved, there were only 5 registered communists in Lernamerdz. Today, all of the villagers claim that they adhere to the socialist ideology, and think that "everyone will be happy then and the sun will shine brightly" if communism is reestablished in Armenia. The village, also called "Little Cuba" has attracted many communist visitors, because of its special status.

Voskevaz (Armenian: Ոսկեվազ) is a village in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. Not far from the center of the village is the church of Surp Hovhannes, built between the 7th and 12th centuries. The village is home to the Hayasy brewery.

Surp Hovhannes (Armenian: Սուրբ ՅովհաննԷս Եկեղեցի; meaning Saint John) or Voskevaz Church (Armenian: Ոսկեվազ եկեղեցի) is a 7th- to 12th-century basilica located in the village of Voskevaz in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia.

Agarak (Armenian: Ագարակ) is a village in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. It is located on Amberd River. The modern settlement was founded mainly by emigrants from Van, Gavash and Bitlis.In 1897 the population of Agarak was 603; in 1979 it had reached 1150.

Amberd (Armenian: Ամբերդ); known as Franganots until 1978, is a village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. The village is home to the historic church of Thomas the Apostle, dating back to the 12th century.

Oshakan (Armenian: Օշական) is a village in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia located 8 kilometers southwest from Ashtarak. It is well known to historians and pilgrims of the Armenian Apostolic Church as the site of the grave of Mesrop Mashtots, the inventor of the Armenian alphabet.

Aygeshat (Armenian: Այգեշատ; also, Aigeshat, known as Hajighara until 1935), is a village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. It is home to the ruined 6th- to 7th-century Targmanchats Vank or Church of Surb Targmanchats (Holy Translators' Church) as well as the 18th-century Church of Surb Gevorg (Saint George), partially restored in the early 20th century. There is also an early tower of Adar Davit on a hill nearby from the 2nd or 1st centuries BC. There is also a monument dedicated to the victims of World War II, 2nd- to 1st-century tombs, 10th- to 18th-century graves, and an early 19th-century wall. The village has a school (235 students), first aid station, house of culture, and a community center.

Targmanchats Vank (Armenian: Թարգմանչաց վանք; meaning "Translators Monastery") of the 6th to 7th century is located within the village of Aygeshat in the Armavir Province of Armenia just off the main road through town. The site is gated and one must inquire about accessing the church.

Saint Mesrop Mashtots Church (Armenian: Սուրբ Մեսրոպ Մաշտոց եկեղեցի) is an Armenian Apostolic church in Oshakan that contains the grave of Mesrop Mashtots, the inventor of the Armenian alphabet. It is one of Armenia's better known churches and a pilgrimage site. Pilgrims visit the church on the Feast of the Holy Translators in October.Mashtots was buried at the site in 440, where a martyrium was built three years later. The current church dates to 1873–79, when an entirely new building was built on the grave of Mashtots, located under the altar. It has been the seat of the Diocese of Aragatsotn since 1996.

Aghavnatun (Armenian: Աղավնատուն, formerly, Akhavnatukh) is a village in the Armavir Province of Armenia. it is home to ruins of an iron-age fortress, a 13th-century tomb and a chapel. There are four churches in the village, the oldest of which is Surp Gevork Church of the 10th century. A circular tower of an unknown purpose is found on a hill top near the village.

Dasht (Armenian: Դաշտ, meaning "field") is a town in the Armavir Province of Armenia. Just outside the town is a 1st millennium BCE fortress.
