Aleksandrów Kujawski [alɛkˈsandruf kuˈjafskʲi] (until 1879: Trojanów, 1879–1919: Aleksandrów Pograniczny) is a town in north-central Poland, in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is the seat of Aleksandrów County, as well as of Gmina Aleksandrów Kujawski (although it is not part of the territory of that gmina). It is situated about 18 km (11 mi) south-east of Toruń. As of December 2022 Aleksandrów Kujawski has an area of 7.23 km2 (2.79 sq mi) and a population of 11,536.

Aleksandrów County (Polish: powiat aleksandrowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Aleksandrów Kujawski, which lies 20 km (12 mi) south of Toruń and 55 km (34 mi) south-east of Bydgoszcz. The county also contains the towns of Ciechocinek, lying 6 km (4 mi) east of Aleksandrów Kujawski, and Nieszawa, 14 km (9 mi) east of Aleksandrów Kujawski. The county covers an area of 475.61 square kilometres (183.6 sq mi). As of 2010 its total population is 55,352, out of which the population of Aleksandrów Kujawski is 12,359, that of Ciechocinek is 10,855, that of Nieszawa is 2,012, and the rural population is 29,969.

The Otłoczyn railway accident (Polish: Katastrofa kolejowa pod Otłoczynem) was a train crash which occurred on 19 August 1980, near the village of Otłoczyn (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, northern Poland). At 4:30 a.m., a freight train collided with a passenger train which ran from Toruń Main Station to Łódź Kaliska. As a result, 65 people were killed, and 64 injured, out of which an additional two later died, bringing the total number of dead to 67. It was caused by one of the drivers proceeding without permission in a thick fog. To date, it is the deadliest railway accident in peacetime history of Poland.
