East Grinstead railway station

Our Lady and St Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in East Grinstead. It was built from 1897 to 1898 and designed by Frederick Walters. It is situated on the London Road close to where it becomes Station Road, north of East Grinstead railway station. It is a Romanesque Revival church and a Grade II listed building.

Imberhorne Viaduct is a Grade II listed railway viaduct located in East Grinstead, West Sussex, South-East England. Closed in 1958, the structure was brought back into use as part of the preserved Bluebell Railway heritage line in 2013, allowing trains to continue to East Grinstead railway station.

West Street Baptist Church (formerly Zion Chapel) is a Baptist church in East Grinstead, a town in the district of Mid Sussex, one of seven local government districts in the English county of West Sussex. Founded in 1810 as a chapel linked to the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion, it was the first Nonconformist place of worship in East Grinstead; the town's subsequent development made it a local centre of both Protestant Nonconformity and alternative religions. The red-brick building is still used by a Baptist community, and is protected as a Grade II listed building.

East Grinstead Museum is located at Cantelupe Road in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England. It was established in 1995 in a purpose-built museum constructed with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and local donations. It replaced the town's first museum opened in 1926 in the St Swithun's Church tower under the supervision of the reverend Golding Golding-Bird. The first museum closed in 1955. The East Grinstead Society opened the East Grinstead Town Museum in 1976, using three rooms at East Court. The museum was accredited in 1995 and moved to a new site in September 2006.Notable collections include material relating to the Guinea Pig Club for former plastic surgery patients of the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead during the Second World War, and the associated medical drawings of Mollie Lentaigne.

St. Swithun's is a Church of England church in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England, which is a Grade II* listed building.The site had a church since the 11th century. It was struck by lightning in 1772 and after it was rebuilt by James Wyatt it was opened in 1789. It is situated on a hill-top site near entrance to town, where in the past several tracks met. The area began to be settled in the late tenth century: and St Swithun (Bishop of Winchester, 852–862) was the choice for church patron. To this day it remains a visible landmark. Near the entrance to the church, three stones mark the supposed ashes of Anne Tree, Thomas Dunngate and John Forman who were burned as martyrs on 18 July 1556 because they would not renounce the Protestant faith. Due to the method of execution and the charge of 'heresy', the three were later assumed in local folklore to have been charged with witchcraft and are referred to as 'the witches'. From 1871 to 1908, the vicar of the church was Douglas Yeoman Blakiston. Prior to being ordained, he had worked as an artist. Two large oil paintings by him remain in the church as do several organ pipes he painted with portraits of parishioners. His son, Herbert Blakiston, went on to become Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford.A national appeal for funds raised £516 in 1788. A programme of restoration in 1874 inaugurated the present appearance. A Trust Fund was set up in 1979 to provide funding for restoration. It is independent of the Parochial Church Council.

Sackville College is a Jacobean almshouse in town of East Grinstead, West Sussex, England. It was founded in 1609 with money left by Robert Sackville, 2nd Earl of Dorset. Throughout its history it has provided sheltered accommodation for the elderly.

Imberhorne School is a comprehensive school in East Grinstead, West Sussex, England, which admits children between the ages of 11 and 18. The school has a roll of 1,650, including 300 in the Sixth Form, and is on two sites, Windmill Lane and Imberhorne Lane. The headteacher is Mr Walker. In 2004, the school was awarded Artsmark Silver and Sportsmark for excellence in these areas. Many pupils achieve higher than average results and the school ranks within the top 10 in West Sussex. In 2008 GCSE results, 69% students achieved five or more A*–C passes, compared to a national average of 63%. The Sixth Form provides both academic, BTEC, and vocational courses.

East Grinstead is a town in West Sussex, England, near the East Sussex, Surrey, and Kent borders, 27 miles (43 km) south of London, 21 miles (34 km) northeast of Brighton, and 38 miles (61 km) northeast of the county town of Chichester. Situated in the southeast of the county, the civil parish has an area of 2,443.45 hectares (6,037.9 acres). The population at the 2011 Census was 26,383.Nearby towns include Crawley and Horley to the west, Tunbridge Wells to the east and Redhill and Reigate to the northwest. The town is contiguous with the village of Felbridge to the northwest. Until 1974 East Grinstead was in East Sussex, before joining with Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill as the Mid-Sussex district of West Sussex. The town is on the Greenwich Meridian. It has many historic buildings, and the Weald and Ashdown Forest lie to the south-east.

Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts was a dance and performing arts school in the United Kingdom. Founded by the dance teacher Pauline Bush in Nottingham in 1914, and later with branches in Romford, Essex and London; it was bombed out during the Second World War and then moved to a former boys' school East Grinstead. The Romford branch closed in 1974 and the East Grinstead branch in 1989. After Pauline Bush's death, the school was run by her daughter Noreen and her husband Victor Leopold. Later their son Paul Kimm joined them, and he remained Principal until the school closed.
