Sheep Meadow

Ballplayers House is a 450-square-foot (42 m2) building in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, designed by the architecture firm Buttrick White & Burtis. Completed in 1990, it replaced an older building, architect Calvert Vaux's Boys Play House of 1868, which stood on the northern edge of the Heckscher Ballfields until it was demolished in 1969. Vaux's building was a 52-foot (16 m) long clubhouse and dispensary for bats and balls, whereas Buttrick White & Burtis' building is a food concession half the size of the original.

An outdoor bronze bust of Giuseppe Mazzini by Giovanni Turini is installed in Central Park's Sheep Meadow, in Manhattan, New York. The sculpture was commissioned by a group of Italian-Americans and was dedicated in 1878 with a speech by American poet William Cullen Bryant. It sits on a granite pedestal, which includes two inscriptions that translate to "thought and action" and "God and the people". In 1994, the bust was restored by the Central Park Conservancy.

Eagles and Prey is an outdoor bronze sculpture by Christophe Fratin, located in Central Park in Manhattan, New York. Created in 1850 and installed in Central Park in 1863, it is the oldest known sculpture in any New York City park.

The Central Park Carousel, officially the Michael Friedsam Memorial Carousel, is a vintage wood-carved carousel located in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, at the southern end of the park, near East 65th Street. It is the fourth carousel on the site where it is located.

Seventh Regiment Memorial is an outdoor bronze sculpture honoring the members of that regiment whose lives were forfeited during the Civil War. The statue was created by John Quincy Adams Ward and the base was designed by Richard Morris Hunt. Although the statue is dated 1869 the monument was not unveiled until June 22, 1874.

Indian Hunter is an outdoor bronze sculpture by John Quincy Adams Ward, located at Central Park in Manhattan, New York.It was cast in bronze in 1866 at the L.A. Amouroux, NY at a cost of $10,000. It was displayed at the Paris Exposition in 1867 and was later presented to the city of New York, where it was unveiled on February 4, 1869. The statue was the first sculpture by an American artist at Central Park, which at the time was only 11 years old.

The Falconer is a bronze sculpture in Central Park, New York City by English sculptor George Blackall Simonds. It depicts a man in a theatrical version of Elizabethan dress standing on a high granite pedestal, releasing a hunting falcon.The Falconer, cast in 1871 in Florence, was erected in 1875 on a prominent rock overlooking the confluence of Terrace Drive and another carriage drive near the West 72nd Street drive entrance. The growth of surrounding trees has partly obscured the site. The sculpture has a history of being vandalized. The original falcon was stolen, and in the 1960s the New York City Parks Department commissioned their employee and sculptor, Joel Rudnick, to mold a new falcon which now sits on The Falconer's arm. This new falcon is substantially different from the original falcon. The arm itself was also re-fashioned by Parks' employee Domenico Facci.

Tavern on the Green is an American cuisine restaurant in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, near the intersection of Central Park West and West 66th Street on the Upper West Side. The restaurant, housed in a former sheepfold, has been operated by Jim Caiola and David Salama since 2014. From its opening in 1934 to its closure in 2009, the restaurant changed ownership several times. From 2010 until 2012, the building was used as a public visitor center and gift shop run by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. After a multimillion-dollar renovation, Caiola and Salama reopened Tavern on the Green to the public on April 24, 2014. Throughout its history, Tavern on the Green has been frequented by prominent actors, musicians, politicians, and writers. It has also received several awards, including those for the best restaurant in the Upper West Side, and the best wine menu.

The Women's Rights Pioneers Monument is a sculpture by Meredith Bergmann. It was installed in Central Park, Manhattan, New York City, on August 26 (Women's Equality Day), 2020. The exact site of the sculpture is the northwest corner of the Literary Walk portion of The Mall, the widest pedestrian path in Central Park, that spans from 66th Street to 72nd Street. The sculpture commemorates and depicts Sojourner Truth (c. 1797–1883), Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906), and Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902), who were pioneers in the suffrage movement for women’s right to vote and the larger movement for women’s rights.It is the first sculpture in Central Park to depict historical women. (A statue of the fictional character Alice in Wonderland is the only other female figure depicted in the park.) Original plans for the memorial included only Stanton and Anthony, but after critics raised objections to the lack of inclusion of women of color, Truth was added to the design.

An outdoor bronze sculpture of Daniel Webster by Thomas Ball is installed in Central Park, Manhattan, New York. The "larger-than-life-size" statue was commissioned in the 1870s, to be installed along Central Park's Mall. It was instead installed along the West Drive at 72nd Street due to size restrictions. Daniel Webster was presented by Gordon W. Burnham in 1876.

The Dairy is a small building in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City, designed by the architect Calvert Vaux. The building was completed in 1871 as a restaurant but is now one of the park's five visitor centers managed by the Central Park Conservancy, and also contains a gift shop. The Dairy is located in the southern section of Central Park just south of the 65th Street transverse road. Adjacent features include the Central Park Carousel and the Heckscher Playground and Ballfields to the west, Sheep Meadow to the northwest, Central Park Mall to the north, Central Park Zoo to the east, The Pond and Hallett Nature Sanctuary to the southeast, and Wollman Rink to the south.

An outdoor bronze sculpture of Fitz-Greene Halleck by James Wilson Alexander MacDonald is installed in Central Park in Manhattan, New York. Commissioned by William Cullen Bryant and James Grant Wilson following Halleck's death in 1867, the statue was cast in 1876 and installed in 1877, becoming the first in Central Park depicting an American. An estimated 10,000 people attended its dedication on May 15, 1877.
