The Bali Refuse Incineration Plant (traditional Chinese: 八里垃圾焚化廠; simplified Chinese: 八里垃圾焚化厂; pinyin: Bālǐ Lèsè Fénhuà Chǎng) is an incinerator in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan. The chimney of the incineration plant is 150 m (490 ft) tall.

On 27 June 2015, a dust fire occurred at Formosa Fun Coast, a water park in Bali, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Staff of an outdoor "color powder party" sprayed clouds of corn starch towards the participants, which ignited. The fire lasted 40 seconds and burned 508 people, killing 15 and leaving 199 in critical condition.Initially, only patches of airborne corn starch caught fire and extinguished almost instantly, but the staff sprayed carbon-dioxide fire extinguishers towards the participants, which, compounded by the running of the participants, dispersed the airborne corn starch into multiple dust clouds, responsible for most of the burning. The dust fire was widely misreported to have been an explosion.

Formosa Fun Coast (Chinese: 八仙海岸; pinyin: Bāxiān Hǎi'àn, also known as 八仙樂園; Bāxiān Lèyuán; 'Eight Immortals Paradise" or less literally "Myriad immortals paradise') was a theme park in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan. It closed in the aftermath of 2015 New Taipei water park fire.

Bali District (Chinese: 八里區; pinyin: Bālǐ Qū; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Pat-lí-khu) is a suburban district in northwestern New Taipei, Taiwan. In Taiwanese Hokkien, it was known as Pat-lí-hun (八里坌) during the rule of the Qing dynasty.

The Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology (Chinese: 十三行博物館; pinyin: Shísānháng Bówùguǎn) is an archaeological museum in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan. The museum conserves and displays artifacts from the Shihsanhang archaeological site.

The Tamsui River (alternatively Danshui River, Chinese: 淡水河; pinyin: Dànshǔi Hé; Wade–Giles: Tan4-shui3 Ho2; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tām-chúi-hô; lit. 'Freshwater River') is third longest river in Taiwan after Zhuoshui River and Gaoping River, with a total length of 158.7 km (98.6 mi), flowing through Hsinchu County, Taoyuan, Taipei and New Taipei City. It is located in northern part of the island.

Linkou District (Chinese: 林口區; pinyin: Línkǒu Qū; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Nâ-kháu khu) is a district in the northwestern part of New Taipei City in northern Taiwan. The name "Linkou" translates to "forest mouth"; in fact, for much of its history, Linkou remained a relatively rural and undeveloped district. This has recently begun to change: Since the latter half of the 2010s, Linkou has been undergoing a period of rapid population growth and land development relative to other nearby districts.

The Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf (Chinese: 淡水漁人碼頭; pinyin: Dànshuǐ Yúrén Mǎtóu), officially the Tamsui Second Fishing Harbor (Chinese: 淡水第二漁港; pinyin: Dànshuǐ Dìèr Yúgǎng), is a major fishing harbor and a scenic spot on the right bank of the Tamsui River estuary, at the western tip of Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The predecessor was the Tamsui Customs Wharf, a more inland but important fishing harbor in the early history of north Taiwan.

The Tamsui Lover's Bridge (traditional Chinese: 情人橋; simplified Chinese: 情人桥; pinyin: Qíngrén Qiáo) is a bridge in Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf, Tamsui District, New Taipei, Taiwan.

Wazihwei Nature Reserve (traditional Chinese: 挖子尾自然保留區; simplified Chinese: 挖子尾自然保留区; pinyin: Wāzǐwěi Zìrán Bǎoliú Qū) is a nature reserve in Bali District, New Taipei, Taiwan. It is home to egrets, mudskippers, and fiddler crabs.

The Danjiang Bridge (Chinese: 淡江大橋; pinyin: Dànjiāng Dàqiáo) is an under-construction road and light rail bridge spanning the mouth of the Tamsui River, which will link Bali and Tamsui in New Taipei City, Taiwan.The bridge was designed by architect Dame Zaha Hadid. It will be a single-tower, asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a 920 metres (3,020 ft) long road, rail and pedestrian deck supported by a single 200-metre-high pylon. When completed in 2025, the bridge will be the longest single-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world.
