Seneca Glass Company Building, now called Seneca Center, is a historic glass factory located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built by the Seneca Glass Company in 1896–1897, and is an industrial complex of work areas, all connected by doors, passageways, or bridges. A fire in 1902, destroyed much of the interior of the original brick part of the complex. After the fire, Elmer F. Jacobs designed the new two-story replacement, a new Needle Etching Room in a separate building connected by a bridge, and the reconstruction of the Grinding, Glazing, and Cutting areas. A large addition was built in 1947. The building features a conical brick stack that projects 36 feet above the roofline of the Furnace / Blowing Room. The complex was the home of one of the finest hand-blown, hand-cut and etched, lead glass factories in the world. After the factory closed in 1983, it was adapted for commercial use.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

West Virginia University (WVU) is a public land-grant research university with its main campus in Morgantown, West Virginia. Its other campuses are those of the West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Beckley, Potomac State College of West Virginia University in Keyser, and clinical campuses for the university's medical and school at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston and the Eastern Division at the WVU Medicine Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers. WVU Extension Service provides outreach with offices in all 55 West Virginia counties. Enrollment for the Fall 2021 semester was 25,474 for the main campus, while enrollment across all three non-clinical campuses was 28,267. The Morgantown campus offers more than 350 bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and professional degree programs throughout 13 colleges and schools, including that state’s only law and dental schools.The university has produced 25 Truman Scholars, 47 Goldwater Scholars, 88 Gilman Scholars, and 70 Fulbright Scholars. 25 Rhodes Scholars are WVU alumni, including former WVU president David C. Hardesty, Jr.

Woodburn Circle, also known as WVU Quadrangle, is part of the downtown campus of West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. The circle, in reality a quadrangle grouped around an oval path, is a historic and distinctive architectural assembly of three collegiate buildings, which evolved in the late 19th century. In chronological order these are Martin Hall, Woodburn Hall, and Chitwood Hall. The largest of the buildings, Woodburn Hall, has become the best known and is a symbol of the university. The circle's Martin Hall is West Virginia University's oldest campus building and was constructed in 1870 as University Hall, and renamed Martin Hall in 1889. The circle's centerpiece, what is now Woodburn Hall, was finished in 1876, under the name New Hall. The circle finally became complete with the addition of Chitwood hall in 1893. Woodburn Circle was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The West Virginia University College of Law is the professional school for the study of law at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States. The law school was established in February 20,1878 as the first professional school in the state, and remains the only law school in the state. The law school is a member of the Association of American Law Schools and is accredited by the American Bar Association.

St. Mary's Orthodox Church, originally known as Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church, is a historic church of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese located at the intersection of West Park and Holland Avenues in Westover, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was also known as St. Michael the Archangel Church and St. Mary's Capatho-Russian Orthodox Greek Catholic Church. The building itself was built in the 19th century and originally housed the Westover Methodist Church. It was later sold to the Orthodox Church, at which time it underwent significant alterations to bring it to the architectural standards necessary for an Orthodox house of worship. It was dedicated as an Orthodox church on September 8, 1923 (hence its dedication to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, which feast day falls on that date). It is a yellow brick building on a high foundation of textured concrete block.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Mountaineer Field, known as the "Jewel of the Mountains", was a football stadium located in downtown Morgantown, West Virginia. It was the home of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. The stadium, which cost approximately $740,000 to build, was located down the hill from Woodburn Hall, and bordered by Campus Drive to the north, University Avenue to the east, Woodburn and Chitwood Halls to the south, and eventually Beechurst Avenue on the west. It was built into the natural valley of the area, and was a square-cornered horseshoe. The stadium opened on September 27, 1924 with a 21–6 win against West Virginia Wesleyan College. It held 38,000 by the time it closed, after a 24–17 loss in the 1979 Backyard Brawl to archrival Pitt. Due to the cramped location, it could not be expanded, and infrastructure could not be improved. Thus, in 1980, a new Mountaineer Field was opened on the site of the Morgantown Country Club to the north of the Downtown (main) campus, on what has become the Health Sciences campus. The historic stadium was razed in 1987. The Life Sciences Building inhabits the area of the north stands, and Field Hall (formerly known as the Business and Economics building) inhabits the south. The former location of the playing field remains open as a field between the two buildings. At the southwestern corner, there is a horseshoe-shaped monument to the stadium that was erected in 2005.

Stansbury Hall was a building on the Downtown Campus of West Virginia University. It was named after Harry Stansbury (died 1966), a former WVU Athletic Director. Opened in 1929 as the WVU Field House, just to the southwest of "Old" Mountaineer Field, this was the home of WVU basketball until 1970, when the WVU Coliseum was opened. This was the home floor during the days of Hot Rod Hundley and Jerry West. It hosted the Southern Conference men's basketball tournament in 1953. While the home venue of WVU basketball, the team compiled a record of 370–81 (.820) when playing there. In October 1973, it was renamed to honor Stansbury.Prior to demolition, the building was the home of the Philosophy Department, the Statistics Department, the Program for Humanities, the Program for Religious Studies, the Center for Service and Learning, and the Office of International Programs. Army and Air Force ROTC programs were also housed here. Stansbury's use prior to demolition also retained some vestige of its athletic history; the remaining arena floor was often used by intramural and "pickup" soccer and basketball games, while a gymnasium offering personal-training services was housed elsewhere in the building. On February 10, 2017, WVU announced plans to demolish Stansbury Hall and replace it with a new building for the WVU College of Business and Economics.Demolition began August 2019. The building to take its place, Reynolds Hall, was opened June at the beginning of the 2022-23 academic year, and hosts WVU's John Chambers Business and Economics College.

The Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum is located in the Mineral Resources Building on the Evansdale campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and is “dedicated to preserving and promoting the social, cultural, and technological history of West Virginia’s coal and petroleum industries through the collection, preservation, research, and exhibition of historical objects and archival materials.” Originally named the COMER Museum for WVU's College of Mineral and Energy Resources (COMER, 1930–1995), the Watts Museum was renamed in 2005 at the request of the West Virginia Coal Mining Institute (WVCMI).

Oglebay Hall is a historic classroom building associated with the West Virginia University and located at Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built in 1918, and is a three-story, brick and concrete building with Classical Revival detailing. The front facade features four Doric order columns that support a pediment with a false, concrete railing and entablature with the building's name. It also has balconies with cast iron balustrades. It originally housed the university's College of Agriculture (until 1961) and represents the university's heritage as a land-grant institution. The building is named for industrialist and philanthropist Earl W. Oglebay, whose house at Wheeling, West Virginia is known as the Oglebay Mansion Museum.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The John Chambers College of Business and Economics is the business school of West Virginia University, a state university located in Morgantown in the U.S. State of West Virginia. The college building is in the downtown campus of the university. The college offers ten undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) programs and one Bachelor of Science in Economics program, seven master programs, and doctoral programs throughout its six departments.

Elizabeth Moore Hall is a historic women's physical education building associated with West Virginia University and located in Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia. It was built between 1926 and 1928, and is a three-story, red brick building with Georgian Revival detailing. An addition was completed in 1962. It has a slate covered gable roof. The front facade features five arches supported by six Doric order columns. It also has balconies with cast iron balustrades. The building is named for Elizabeth Moore, principal of Woodburn Female Seminary from 1865 to 1866.The building currently houses the offices for the dean of students and the Dance Program in the School of Theatre & Dance. With offices in the front part of the building, the back section is over six stories tall and has three levels: a swimming pool, a gymnasium (G1), and a dance studio (210). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The WVU Reed College of Media was one of the sixteen colleges and schools at West Virginia University, located in Morgantown, West Virginia. It is currently housed in Martin Hall.
