The Kent County Civil War Monument is an historic landmark in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The monument is in a small triangular downtown park, bounded by Division Avenue and Monroe Avenue. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

The Keeler Building is a former furniture exhibition building located at 56 North Division Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. As of 2017, the building was slated for renovation into apartments.

The Peck Block is a commercial building located at 34-50 Monroe Center NW in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. The building has been rehabilitated to house condos on the upper floors.

The Grand Rapids Savings Bank Building is an office building located at 60 Monroe Center, NW, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was for a time unique in the United States as being large, religiously liberal and non-denominational in a notably conservative city. It arose from its beginnings as a Baptist church which responded to the ascendency of liberal Christianity in the late 19th century, primarily through graduates of the University of Chicago Divinity School, which was a leader in the movement. Established in the largest town in West Michigan, in 1869 as Fountain Street Baptist Church, by 1960 FSC surrendered its Baptist name and identity altogether to become an independent, non-denominational liberal church. In 1959, a book chronicling the story of Fountain Street Church titled Liberal Legacy – A History of Fountain Street Church was published in-house by Philip Buchen, a member of the church and legal advisor to President Gerald Ford. In the years between 1896 and 2006 Fountain Street Church eventually shed its explicitly Christian identity for a non-creedal spiritual life that closely approximated Unitarian Universalism. Its newest mantra to "Free the Mind, Grow the Soul and Change the World" summarizes the church's approach to religion from the earlier days to this.

Herpolsheimer's was a department store company in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The Ryerson Building is the older wing of the main public library in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. It was the gift of Martin A. Ryerson, a native of the city and grandson of Antoine Campau, brother of Louis Campau, founder of the city. In 1967, the library more than doubled in size with the addition of the Keeler wing. The building was opened in October 1904, and was extensively renovated for its centenary year.

The Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty is an American research and educational institution, or think tank, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, (with an office in Rome) whose stated mission is "to promote a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles". Its work supports free market economic policy framed within Judeo-Christian morality. It has been alternately described as conservative and libertarian. Acton Institute also organizes seminars "to educate religious leaders of all denominations, business executives, entrepreneurs, university professors, and academic researchers in economics principles."

The Ladies' Literary Club also known as Wednesday Literary Club was built as a social club building located at 61 Sheldon Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. As of 2019, the building is being renovated into a social event space known as The Lit.

Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) is a college of art and design located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1928 as a private art academy, the college merged with Ferris State University in 2000. Offering bachelor's and master's degree programs encompassing design, visual arts, decorative arts, art history, and critical theory, KCAD is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Grand Rapids Public Library located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan and also includes seven branch libraries throughout the city. The library system has 170 full and part-time employees and has a service area of roughly 197,000 people.

Park Church is a historic church at 10 E. Park Place, NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
