Electoral district of Kurwongbah

Kallangur was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1992 to 2017. The district was based in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane. It is named for the suburb of Kallangur and also includes the suburbs of Dakabin, Kurwongbah, Murrumba Downs, Petrie and part of Narangba. The electorate was first contested in 1992.

The 1966 Australian Grand Prix was a motor race staged on 20 February 1966 at the Lakeside Circuit in Queensland, Australia. The race, which had 15 starters, was open to Racing Cars complying with the Australian National Formula or the Australian 1½ Litre Formula. It was both the 31st Australian Grand Prix and race 6 of the 1966 Tasman Championship for Drivers.Graham Hill won the race driving BRM P261. It was his only Australian Grand Prix victory.

The 1969 Australian Grand Prix was a motor race held at Lakeside in Queensland, Australia on 2 February 1969. The race was promoted by the Queensland Motor Sports Club and was open to Australian National Formula cars and Australian Formula 2 cars. It was the thirty fourth Australian Grand Prix and was race five of the 1969 Tasman Championship.New Zealander Chris Amon started the race from pole position and drove the fastest race lap on his way to a victory, with his British Scuderia Veloce teammate Derek Bell placed second. Leo Geoghegan was the first of the domestic based drivers in third position. Amon also won the 1969 Tasman Series.

Lakeside Park, formerly known as Lakeside International Raceway is a motor racing circuit located in Kurwongbah, City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. It is 30 km (19 mi) north of Brisbane, and lies adjacent to Lake Kurwongbah. The circuit was known as the spiritual home of Queensland motorsport and was built by volunteers and borrowed machinery in the 1960s. The 2.410 km (1.498 mi) circuit opened on 19 March 1961 and was closed in mid-2001. The circuit reopened on 5 April 2008, with a race meeting held the following day.

The main purposes of the dam are for potable water supply of the City of Moreton Bay and for recreation. The impounded reservoir is called Lake Kurwongbah.

North Pine Pumping Station is a heritage-listed pumping station at Lake Kurwongbah-Dayboro Road, Whiteside, City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. It was built from 1956 to 1961 by K D Morris & Sons Pty Ltd. It is also known as Dayboro Road Pumping Station. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 28 January 2009.
